"I have brought the list of the nobles who have some share of business partners in the slave establishment or in the black market." Declan took out the papers from his bag as he adjusted the glasses on his nose.

His eyes kept staring at Anne for long before finally turning away to Rafael who had an amused smile on his face.

"And I am sure a few of them try to create drama for the lady, saying she is the one behind all these attacks." Raphael nodded. 

It was common for the humans to blame vampires or witches for their bad luck while talking in a righteous tone as if they were never wrong.

"Have you thought about it?" asked Declan when he felt that only he was going crazy thinking about it while the other two people in front of him did not care about it even a bit.
