"Well am heading there now myself, would you like to walk with me?" He questioned grinning, Sabrina was scared of being alone with him but she had no choice if she wanted to get to the dinning hall soon,
"I would love to," What other choice did she have but to go with this vampire, she thought as he smiled at her, then suddenly he was sniffing the air, Crazy vampire!
"Is something wrong, my prince?"
Lucian smiled at her "Nothing.... Just that you smell nice," he grinned as Sabrina glared at him, with her face red,
"You know, you've got nerves, Sprout," he smirked and started moving, Sabrina followed closely staying behind him and glaring. They walked in silence until they soon arrived at the dinning hall and when they got there, she saw the royal family seated and Sabrina noticed a blonde woman who was also very beautiful, Sabrina bowed her greetings to them all as they all stared at her and Lucian, The blonde haired stared harder, she saw Lucian go to sit beside her while she chose to sit beside the little boy.
"How did your night go, Sabrina? I hope you slept well?" Lucia asked smiling as the maid started serving.
"Fine, thank you, Your grace," Sabrina turned and saw Lucian putting a fork with beef on it, in the blonde woman's mouth who smiled sweetly at him and he did same.
"This is my sister in law, Rosaline, I see that you are wondering who she is? Isn't she beautiful?" Selene said grinning and Rosaline turned her attention to Sabrina and smiled,
"How do you do, Sabrina?" She asked
"Am good, Lady Rosaline," Sabrina replied smiling back "Nice to meet you,"
"Same here," Rosaline said simply "Which poor village are you from?-"
"Rosaline! You shouldn't speak to her like that!" Lucia reprimanded her,
"It's okay, Lady Lucia," Sabrina said calmly before turning to Rosaline who was grinning and Sabrina smiled.
"Yes my village is poor, Lady Rosaline but I can assure you that I am satisfied with what it has to offer," Sabrina said smiling sweetly at Rosaline whose expression turned cold at Sabrina nerves to talk back to her,
"If you were satisfied with what it had to offer you, then why were you here in the first place? Was it not so you could get into our society?" Rosaline looked at her in distaste,
"Pardon me, my lady but you shouldn't decide about someone if you don't know exactly what the person had been through, if it were up to me, I wouldn't be close to the castle but being here that should mean I had my reasons, wouldn't it?" Sabrina said smartly, staring at Rosaline who stared back, glaring.
"I hope the reason is not to harm this family?" Rosaline questioned gaining a gasp from Selene.
"Is that it?" Selene questioned staring hard at Sabrina whose eyes widen.
"Never! I wouldn't dare, how dare i? I never said such a thing!" She said shocked.
"Then why are you panicking, Sabrina?" Rosaline grinned.
"I was not panicking, I was simply shocked by the accusation you threw at me," Sabrina paused with a serious expression on her face and then continued "I merely know you all, so why would I wish to harm you?" She stared hard at Rosaline who wasn't smiling anymore.
"Look at my wife and wife to be, getting along already, how fantastic!" Lucian said suddenly, drawing everyone's attention and making them frown in confusion.
"Of course," Rosaline said "I can feel that I and Sabrina would get along pretty well," she smiled at her.
"Sabrina?" Delcrov called and Sabrina turned to look at him,
"Yes, my King?"
"A letter has already been sent to your mother," he paused "She should be arriving in the mansion by noon,"
"Very well, my King," After eating little amount of her food, she got up, gaining others attention "If you would pardon me, my King, I lack appetite and would like to retreat to my room now?"
"Why? Is the food not to your liking?" Lucia asked concerned,
"No no, it was delicious and I enjoyed it but I think am not that hungry," Sabrina said softly feeling Rosaline and Selene glare at her.
"Very well," Lucia said "You may leave,".
Sabrina managed her way to her room, locked her door and went straight to her bed.
"Welcome to the Hawthorne mansion, Mrs Farrell," Lucia said to Sarphina who just arrived in the mansion.
"My Queen," Sarphina bowed
"No you shouldn't bow to me, we are going to soon become in laws," Lucia said smiling at Sarphina "And please call me Lucia and I will call you, Sarphina,".
"Okay with me, Lady Lucia," Sarphina smiled, loving the feeling of being here.
"Come on, I will show you to your room and then I can ask a maid to summoned Sabrina to the private parlor, so you could catch up,"
"That'd be nice," Sarphina said
Sabrina on hearing that her mother had arrived and waiting for her in the private parlor for ladies, she ran not caring till she arrived in the room, opening the door without waiting for the guards to, she saw her mother and felt relieved. Sabrina ran in and hugged her mother tight whose eyes widen, while the Queen just stood by and watched.
"You are finally here, Mother. I have missed you alot," Sabrina said as she felt herself being pulled back by her mother, who forced a smile on her face,
"Silly girl, why do you have to run in like that," Sarphina said, sending a hidden glare to Sabrina "Lady Lucia, pardon my daughter's manners, tho she doesn't normally do that,"
"It's okay," Lucia said "I understand that she must be missing you alot,".
"Yes, my daughter can be quite emotional,"
"Well then, I will leave you two to converse and catch up, just press the button and a maid would be here to attend to you, okay?"
"Thank you, Lady Lucia," Sarphina said as she watched the Queen step out of the room, leaving them alone in the room, she turned and glared at her daughter.
"Sabrina! Do you have to act so unladylike and in front of the Queen too, what must she have been thinking of you now!" She snapped at her and Sabrina frowned unhappily.
"Lady Lucia is nice, am sure she understands and wasn't offended by it and I truly missed you mother," Sabrina said sadly staring at her mother.
"Anyway am proud of you, you were able to charm the prince and soon you would be getting married to him," Sarphina grinned.
"But I never wanted this, Mother,"
"You shut it!" Sarphina glared at her "This is such a huge opportunity, can't you see that!"
"But he doesn't love me, infact I think he hates me!"
"Don't be silly, how could he hate you? Did you offend him? And you should know that he can't just love you the moment he sees you, it would take time and while I am here am going to make sure that he likes you more than his first wife,".
"So you knew he was already married before, Mother?" Sabrina asked hurt,
"Yes... Look it doesn't matter-"
"You knew he was already married, yet you led me into this trap of a marriage? Are you my enemy?" She said sad
"I knew alright but that doesn't mean this marriage is a trap, no it isn't and you shouldn't worry, things would work out, just be good,".
"I doubt things would get better, Lady Rosaline hated me too, am sure of it," She said worriedly
"Am sure she doesn't, she seemed a pretty nice person to me," Sarphina paused "And certainly well mannered, a pretty young lady too,"
"You've met her?"
"Yes," Sarphina paused "Anyway why are you dressed in this sack of an outfit," She said frowning at the clothe Sabrina was wearing.
"I think it's nice, Mother,"
"No, it's not! If you want to charm the prince, do you think this will do?" Her mother said glaring at her.
"I don't have to charm him, Mother, because I don't want him to love me," Sabrina said sadly.
"Why would you say such a thing, Sabrina!" Her mother said horrified.
"Because I do not like him, Mother, I don't want to live here, please mother," Sabrina pleaded.
"You are obviously not in your right senses, my dear. Now off you go to your room and get changed into something more appealing and I don't want to hear a single word of protest from you now, so leave!" She said
"But mother-"
"Not another word!" Sarphina glared coldly at Sabrina who slowly turned and left unhappily.
"My Queen," Sabrina said standing in the Queen's chamber, who was seated on her sofa, sipping blood, she smiled at Sabrina.
"Come on and sit, Sabrina, make yourself at home,"
Sabrina sat opposite Lucia,
"I was informed that you want to speak with me?" Lucia said,
"Yes, Lady Lucia," Sabrina said.
"Ask away then?" Lucia said smiling
"Can Elena come and stay in the castle till am married to the prince?"
"Elena?" Lucia asked confused.
"She is my friend and I would like her to come and accompany me in this few days till my wedding," Sabrina said
"You are going to be a princess soon, Sabrina, so you do not have to ask for my permission, it is your wedding so do whatever you want to, dear,".
"Really?" Sabrina smiled happily "Thank you, your grace," she was about to leave when Lucia called her back,
"Yes?" She said and watched Lucia smiling at her lovingly.
"I understand that you might be feeling jealous and unhappy," Lucia said and paused as she watched Sabrina frown.
"About what, Lady Lucia?" She asked
"Rosaline, I understand that you do not like how close she and Lucian appear to be? But you should know that you would be able to win his heart if you birth him a child," Lucia said seriously "You are very beautiful and I see you as my own daughter because I don't have a daughter of mine, so am advising you to try to win Lucian's heart, I know Rose means a lot to him but am sure you could also work your way up there too," she smiled.
I don't love Lucian, I don't even like him, so why should I try to win over his heart? Sabrina thought to herself.
"Thank you for the advice, Lady Lucia, I will make sure to put it into practice," Sabrina smiled sweetly and turned to leave.
Once she was outside Lady Lucia's chamber, she came upon a small figure, it was the little boy she saw while they were having breakfast, he stopped and stared at her, coming out of his mother's room.
"Hello?" Sabrina smiled lovingly at the little boy who appeared to be shy.
"Hi," he said simply,
"What's your name?" She asked
"Vincent," he smiled with bright red cheek.
"What a cute name for a cute boy," Sabrina smiled at him as he blushed.
"Am not a little boy, I am ten years of age, so I am a grown up, am a grown up man not a little boy," he said innocently.
"And who told you that?" Sabrina asked.
"Brother Lucian," he replied and saw Sabrina frown.
"Oh," she said simply
"You would be also getting to him, just like Aunty Rosaline, right?" He asked innocently
"To be honest, Vince, I don't wish to marry your brother," she said bending to his level.
"Why?"
"He is not nice," she answered with a frown on her face.
"But he is to me," he frowned innocently before he turned to stare up at Sabrina's face "You are beautiful even more than Aunty Rosaline and Aunty Selene, and you are even nicer than they are, they don't talk to me," he said sadly "So why won't brother be good to you? I don't see why not,"
"I don't know..." Sabrina smiled sweetly at the little boy's sweetness.
"Do you love him?" Vincent asked staring at Sabrina with huge eyes, while Sabrina's eyes only widen at the little boy's words.
