Chapter 20: Cracks in the Sila Council
“I was out spying, brother. I wanted to find out about the vampire hunters and how strong they are,” I responded nonchalantly. He stared at me while Tristan’s panicked eyes shifted from me to him. He was about to say something but Tristan recovered from his shock and asked “Your Highness, what are your findings? Do we need to be worried about the vampire hunters?”
“We need to be on high alert and get our military ready for action,” Leonardo’s voice interjected.
“I am going to take a shower. Wait for me in my office. I will join you both shortly.” I walked into my room and slammed the door behind me without a care in the world. I had dismissed him and Tristan before he continued to ask questions that I did not want to answer. It took me a short while to shower and dress. After I fed, I arrived at my office to find a snotty Leonardo and an irritated Tristan. They stood opposite sides of each other and no one was speaking.
