One Odd Story 1

When Maia was done typing, she spinned her office chair by 90 degrees and stood up, taking her phone, record book, and pen pouch ready to go to her next class.

This course of action made the bystanders automatically turned onto different directions like they never watched her for about fifteen minutes, pretending to be busy the whole time.

She smiled at them since she have no idea that she was the topic and they smiled back, and so she left the faculty room.

...

"And that is just one of the weird stories about her circulating in this school." Risty's friend concluded.

"Ooh, that's one odd story." Risty replied and nod her head to the story she heard for the first time. "I wond-"

"Ooh, this is one odd fate." Maia interrupted with a smile, she was able to cut Risty's words when she entered the study hall and recognized the two right away which paralyzed these gossiping students. "Small world, Risty right?

"I... Eiii...I'm... A-aa... Yeah, yes ma'am." Risty struggled.

Maia curled up her lips after hearing her, "And?..." She asked as she twists her body to Risty's friend's direction, wanting to know her name as well.

"Aa-a-aanniee... Annie, ma'am." Annie, Risty's friend, stuttered.

"Risty and Annie, ok! Glad to see you again!" She greeted and went to the teachers table in front and put down her things.

While she is rummaging through her pen pouch, the two became stone at their seats, "I never sweated this cold in my whole life." Annie whispered without looking at Risty.

"What about me? You can escape this, but I already caused her trouble yesterday!" She whispered back.

As the two are inaudibly becoming hysterical, Maia wrote something on the board with a black marker, which says 'Professor Maia T. Ramiscal' and the two stopped when they noticed this.

"Good day freshmen! I am Professor Maia T. Ramiscal. I teach Literature and Philosophy, and I will be your professor in Contemporary World which is added to my load and I will be your adviser for this academic year."

The fact that Maia would be one of Annie and Risty's professors already terrifies them but the last nine words that just went out from Maia's mouth made the two want to leave their bodies.

"Somebody tell me that this is just a dream." Annie quivered.

"I believe that this is a dream-come-true for most of you, and I would like to congratulate each and everyone for making their way from the admission exam to the interview, and now you are all here!" Maia congratulated.

"Now Professor Maia said that this is a dream-come-true, guess she heard your thoughts." Risty shakily whispered.

"Just so you know, I always want to hear you-"

"Gasp!" Risty covered her mouth as she was shocked by Maia's speech, and the latter part of what the professor said become less audible.

The two slowly looked at each other and their faces both frowned, they were terrified but on a mute mode.

Maia continued talking and started to introduce the course she will be teaching for that semester, suggesting books which the students can use as a reference from time to time, and the class ended peacefully with few of her reminders.

"Since many were not here today, please be prepared to introduce yourself tomorrow, tell those who are not around about it, as for the attendance I would like one or two of you to give me a copy of today's record, and if they don't mind, I would like Annie and Risty to do it." She instructed and suddenly looked at the two students near the window that seems to be pale in surprise. "That's all for today, class dismissed." She smiled, picked up her things and leave immediately.
