Beginning - End

Day. The sun was shining brightly. A colored flying kite was flying across the blue sky, which a boy was frolicking and controlling. Not far away, an old man sitting on a bench was watching him and his entertainment. After a while, the wind died down and the snake fell to the ground, which upset the boy. He sadly approached his grandfather and spoke gloomily.

— Yes, help me, he doesn't fly anymore.

The old man examined the snake, tied the end of the line to the handle and thought about it.

— Well, you can't do without glasses here. Bring them to me, they're in the car.

The boy ran towards the car and at that moment the wind blew, which lifted the snake up, which the boy was immensely glad about. Grandpa took out his glasses from the inside pocket of his jacket and looked at the open spaces with interest.

Grandfather and grandson came home. The boy's father met them there. They went into the kitchen together. The man said.

— Son, play in the living room for now, as soon as dinner is ready, we'll call you.

The boy came out of the kitchen in high spirits. The man sat down at the table next to the old man and spoke.

— You can keep an eye on him for another week, our schedule is tight at the factory, we don't have time.

Grandpa asked in surprise.

— What about the trip? You promised that we would fly this time.

The man replied in a slightly strained voice.

— Well, you know that the schedule does not depend on me.

The grandfather frowned and wanted to present it, but his son interrupted him.

— Just don't start! You'll still have time to fly. And it's not my problem that we can't leave.

The old man crossed his arms and spoke.

— I still just wanted to take a plane ride, not...

- I wanted a normal childhood! I had dreams too, but someone didn't care, because he was busy with his ideas. The man interrupts him.

Grandfather listened and said.

— You know, it wasn't easy for me either. When I first saw the plane...

— No flashbacks! My son screamed again.

— Fla–who? In general, I was also not given a dream to realize. Grandpa said."And you decided to do the same to us?" The man asked sarcastically.

— Maybe so... The old man lowered his head.

The man sighed.

— Okay, I'll arrange to see Vaska at the factory.

The grandfather raised his head while the man went to call to the table.

A few days have passed. Grandfather and grandson finally went to the aircraft factory where the boy's father worked. Thanks to the man, they were allowed into the workshop to look from afar at the manufacture and assembly of aircraft of various sizes and purposes.

They did not stay there for long, as they interfered with the workers a little, which is why one of them had to interrupt his break to entertain the guests. He took them to the models that were no longer working, which were standing on the street, decorating the square.

The grandson began to run around all the planes, simultaneously examining each of them. The old man stopped near a slightly rusted cornfield and seemed to freeze, boring his gaze into the cabin.

The sky seemed to turn brown. A bag flew into the Cockpit of the plane and the pilot was about to enter it, but then a child's voice rang out.

— Dad! Will you be flying for a long time? I also want.

The pilot took off his glasses from his helmet, approached the boy and said.

— Let's fly as soon as I get back, and now I have to fly somewhere, I won't have time to blink an eye.

Then he picked it up and handed it to a man in uniform, who brought some papers similar to maps.

Then I boarded the plane, put on my glasses and started the device. After that, he waved his hand and flew into the sky.

The sky turned blue. A joyful voice was heard.

— Wow, and then what happened?

The old man was taken aback.

— What are you talking about?

— Well, about this one... What's his name? Forgot. — the boy said in response.

An employee came up to them and looked at the plane and said.

— Oh, have you decided from the majority of exhibition equipment to consider the cornflower? I don't know if I should be mad at you or appreciate your taste? Well, nevertheless, he is the only one of them who is at least on the move.

After touching all possible levers and buttons, the employee and grandson were surprised by the enlightenment regarding knowledge about the plane.

After a short tour of other planes, the employee was called to help and he left his grandfather and grandson alone for a while.

They continued to look at the devices, sometimes distracted by the pilots passing into the hangar.

At one point after the next story of the old man, he did not hear any response from his grandson and turned around did not see the boy in the vicinity, he began to scream.

— Wa-a-s! Wa-xia! Where are you?!

The old man searched for the boy for a long time until that worker with a canister began to pass by and asked him.

— Have you seen Vaska?

The man asked, turning around.

— The kid? No, I haven't seen it. Have you lost it?!

The old man hesitated.

— Well, he was here, and then, as if through ...

suddenly, something seemed to grandfather and putting on his glasses, he saw a leg and arm sticking out and the rear compartment of the plane, which was about to take off, gaining acceleration.

Then both panicked and ran towards the second plane, which was preparing to fly. When they reached it, they saw that the pilot was gone. The employee turned on the radio in the cabin and began to speak.

— Over, BLP-1 is TSM -2 on your board an unidentified object in the form of a child, in the cargo hold. I repeat, BLP-1, there is a child in your cargo hold...

the old man saw the plane take off and spoke.

— Where is the pilot!?

The employee became nervous, but then a voice was heard from the radio.

— Over, TSM-2 this is BLP-1 making an emergency landing, over and out.

The employee shouted.

— Reception, BLP-1 does not accept landing.

There was a question.

— What?

Then the employee spoke.

— DON'T LAND THE FUCKING PLANE - YOU'LL KILL THE KID! Just drop the speed and make an interception.

— I accepted it... — the radio went off.

The employee got out of the cab and pouring gasoline into the gas tank said.

— Get on the plane and we will save your grandson.

The old man replied.

— But I haven't flown before...

refilling the fuel, the man said.

— Either you or the kid pi...

— I understood! Grandfather shouted and got into the cab.

The employee followed him and after a brief explanation, the grandfather started the plane and after acceleration slowly took off.

Gaining altitude and speed, he caught up with the first plane. And as they got as close as possible, both planes slowed down. Having opened the hatch, he tried his best to attract the boy's attention, fortunately the grandson quickly noticed them and was ready to jump. They picked the right moment and the kid flew...

The sky changed its color again, the boy jumped and flew, but quickly ended up on the ground after jumping off the table. Not noticing the frisky boy, people in uniform were discussing something. The boy did not listen to every word, but suddenly they spoke.

— Captain! The black lizard, having killed 6 enemy planes, was killed...

The boy did not listen further and continued to frolic carelessly, only later realizing according to other people...

The sky turned blue-pink, it was clear that the sun would completely cross the horizon in a few hours.

There was a cornfield in the field, and in it a happy grandfather and grandson. Next to the plane.

The employee and the boy's father were standing, the latter was speaking.

— And thanks again so much for helping me out, how can I repay?

The employee responds to him.

— Yeah, you don't need anything. Just next time, please relax together and somewhere quiet and away from here, okay?

The grandfather began to call his son, and the employee pushed. The man agreed bitterly. And sitting down next to his son and father, he spoke.

— Come on, take off!

Grandpa grinned, started the plane and shouted.

— Well, now we're finally going to fly!

The propeller began to rev up, the engine howled and... it stalled.

Having dispersed, the grandfather knocked on the levers.

— Here's a tablecloth! She's a wreck, just like your grandmother. Ehh... but I still love you...
