Why do you want to read about a book that is for students when you kinda know that ofc it won't be telling you to stop studying?
You want to study, to be more precise you want to study more. Therefore I need you to do a little activity with me, which doesn't need you to get up. All you have to do is keep reading.
Why are you studying?
Never mind answer this question instead, why are you going to school?
Is it because your family is forcing you to go to school? If yes, then why is it that when it comes to exam time you actually do put in a little bit of effort?
Ofc because we know if we don't study then we would fully fail, but we do study. We don't until we do. We put it off until it comes to a time we are forced to study because we have a day left, or a few hours left until exam time.
But here is the thing for some reason, you seem to be able to pass... even if it's just those couple of hours you cramp it all onto each other, it seems to still be good enough for you to pass.
We aren't doing this just to pass for our parents, there is something inside of us that still wants to succeed and not fail. It's just we also have fear, and that fear eats us up. We are scared that we won't be good enough, that we will work hard and try our best, but end up failing. Therefore being in the comfort of your phone, book, or gaming device, is so much better than to study and not understand... it is so much better than to study and to fail.
But if you think about the times you have put in effort to study for that exam you were able to pass. You will be able to understand that if you put in a good amount of effort and start to understand how to study, then you will be able to do so much better than you could imagine.
But the thing is you can't do it very effortlessly because the times you studied like that was more for that test, that specific day, and then you would forget it after you took the test because it wasn't a priority anymore for you had already finished your exam and it didn't matter anymore what a proton was or what our solar system is made up of or what our ancestors have done before us or what our body is made up of.
There will come a year in your school life that needs more work than those minimum amount of studying you do just the day or the week before a test. Therefore you need to start studying more so when it comes to that, no matter how smart you are and no matter how good you have been at doing the work at a small amount of time, it wouldn't be enough. And then you wouldn't be able to pass like the other times you were able to.
You have potential. There is no person in this world that is actually dumb, all you need is practice. But the right sort of practice not just doing something over and over again that has no benefits on you or your work or your future. Stop paying attention to the rumbling sounds of outside noise, for they are not living your life. You are. You are the only person that is living your life. What others say do impact you yes, but you need them to stop letting them impacting you before it's too late. And honestly in regards to the world you are living in, it is kinda never too late.
So go ahead and think about the kind of life you want to live, what is something you need to get done in school that will get you to that specific future? What is that specific grade you need to get? What is that specific job you want to have?
Think about that job that is most beneficial for you, and now think about the things you need to get done to get there. What college you need to go to, what grade and things do you need to get into that college?
Now make a little secret agreement, a pact, or a promise with me.
That during the next say 6-8 months you will only focus on yourself.
No one else but yourself. No person or thing shall have an effect on you for you are determined to work on the things that will get you to a life where you will live without regret, shame, and without unhappiness.
It will be hard. Start studying for 1-2 hours for a while. Then after a few days or 3 weeks make that 2 hours of studying and focusing on yourself to 3-5 hours. Keep doing that for a month or two months, because this is a long somewhat really slow process but it will HELP YOU.
After that make those 5 hours of studying into 6-8 hours of studying. Start from 6 and after awhile boost it up to 7 then to 8 hours.
When you have done this look back at what you have accomplished, from that one small step of 1 hour, you have gotten to a place where you can focus on things that will help your future for 8 hours. Then when you feel like you need to start focusing more on yourself and less on the things that are going around you in life then increase those 8 hours. Go to 10 hours maybe even 12 hours.
There is also one thing left, make sure when you are studying this much that you work and focus on your health as well. Because this studying is for your future but having a healthy mind and body is also beneficial for your future.
Now go and start working on yourself, you have 24 hours in a day, there is nothing wrong with prioritizing 1-2 hours of those 24 hours for yourself. Once you start there, it well get easier and you will work harder.
You are free to comeback and tell me how everything has changed in your life once you started prioritizing yourself and your future. good luck and goodbye for now,
Don't let me down,
All the best ♥️.
