Michael had become a part of the church. He could not eat crustaceans like lobster or crab for they were bugs of the sea. Swine like pig for they do not have their cloven hooves split. Even catfish as they were scaleless fish. The last restriction was amphibians though they were gross to Michael and he wouldn't eat frogs or salamanders even if he didn't know of God. Other restrictions include no fat from meat surrounding the liver and that there should be no hemoglobin consumed. Hemoglobin is a part of the blood opposed to myoglobin another part which is okay to eat. After 5 years the church Michael decided to become an independent man who could earn his own wages. The church gave him enough money for rent at an apartment for his first month.
