2 Years

(AN: just wanted to say before I start, I have currently been inflicted with a terrible sickness. Its name is the common cold. By the time I finish writing this, I'm not sure how long I've got left. M-my nose is already falling apart. I wish you all happiness, ill see you next time...if I make it ;()

2 years quickly passed by after Yokoji's blood integration.

His and Konan's training since that time has progressed smoothly, allowing for many more tricks and skills to be learned.

For example, due to her early interaction with chakra and paper, Konan has already invented a way to stop the paper from getting destroyed in water.

Although it can't handle large amounts of water, it can still cope if it's just the rain or a bit of water.

Whereas, Yokoji has been focusing more and more intently on the new ability he gained from drinking Yahiko's blood.

He decided to name this new ability of his 'Mist conversion' (AN: I'm not that imaginative...). It allows for him to infuse his chakra into water under his control, changing its state from a liquid, to a faint gas.

Although, using the mist conversion, gives a massive drain on Yokoji's chakra, making it so he could only sustain it for a matter of seconds at first.

Fortunately, like when he was training his water control, the more he used it, the less chakra he'd have to use to keep it converted next time. This means that he has also made substantial progress.

Yokoji has managed to come up with quite a few unique combat methods, using this mist of his. For example, if he were to shape his water into some shurikens or kunai, then he could make them turn into a mist. Making them look as if they have disappeared as well as making them invulnerable to physical attacks.

They allow for easy sneak attacks, as people without any special eyesight will not be able to see it until it's too late.

Konan has also managed to create three of her original paper ninjutsu's. They are the 'Serrated Dance', 'Giant Paper Shurikan' and the 'Paper Veil'.

These all have seen many uses in Naruto, and Yokoji was glad that she has kept on using them.

For 'Serrated Dance' Konan creates jagged pieces of paper and launches them at the target, causing damage to them. This can be used as a basic attack method. Useable on many Ninjas.

'Giant Paper Shurikan' is where Konan creates 2 large paper shuriken and hurls them at the enemy. This allows for great damage if hit, but is easily dodged by experienced Ninja.

Finally 'Paper Veil' is when Konan fires hundreds of pieces of paper into the air around them to create cover and distract foes. This is an extremely useful ability that has seen lots of use in the show. It's basically an absolute escape method from a fight if used correctly.

Yokoji has also been able to imitate many known water jutsu he had seen from the anime. However, as they are normally used with hand signs, the power of them alters. For some the power of the jutsu increases, whereas in others it either does not change or it may even decrease. (AN: I'll talk about the Jutsu's as he uses them, most are self explanatory.)

Thinking of all the progress they have made so far, Yokoji finally starts to rise out of his bed. 'It's about time isn't it?'

What Yokoji was thinking about, was the time when Konan met Nagato and brought him back to the cave where she and Yahiko lived.

Although Yokoji has made many changes to the timeline, he knew that having Nagato on his side could bring many benefits.

The reason why Yokoji didn't want to just take Nagato's eyes, or rather, Madara's eyes. Would be because of Black Zetsu.

He didn't want to have him on his constant tail, watching his every move.

Although he most likely did survey Nagato, at least it won't be him directly. Plus, Yokoji had a feeling that Madara had most likely cast a ninjutsu of some type. So that if the eyes were to be taken out, he would be notified.

Thinking of this, Yokoji decided to let Nagato keep his eyes for now, and instead try to make him into a loyal follower of his.

However, this didn't mean that Yokoji has decided to give up on the idea of taking Nagato's eyes. No. He was just going to wait for the right time. He already had multiple plans prepared for this in the future.

Either way, Yokoji still got up. "Konan, come on wake up. Let's go for a walk," he said, looking at a lump of bedsheets laying next to him.

"Again? Can't we do it tomorrow instead, lets just skip a day." Konan's voice leaked out. A small part of her head showing just her eyes and hair popped out. Looking at Yokoji in hope.

Unfortunately, that hope was to be crushed by Yokoji with his next sentence.

"Nope, we're going for a walk. Now come on let's get out of bed first."

They both went out of bed. Konan seeming to be more resistant to the thought, holding onto the bedsheet for as long as she could.

Eventually, Yokoji was forced to pick her up in a playful matter. Holding her over his shoulder.

Like that they got ready for the morning. Having breakfast. Brushing teeth, that sort of thing.

For some unknown reason though. Konan decided to stay on Yokoji's shoulder for as long as possible. Only going off it when they had to eat.

It didn't seem to be something new, as Yokoji didn't even flinch at this.

'Why does Yokoji want us to go on walks all the time? Maybe it's to spend more time bonding.' Konan, having these thoughts, had a slight happiness in her heart. This is due to getting to spend even more time together with Yokoji.

And although she seemed to moan at having to go outside, she really enjoyed doing it with him instead.

Konan's and Yokoji's bond has been increased many times over the two years they have spent together.

Now they were basically inseparable. Spending almost all their time together.

Although there was not much else they could do. They both preferred things this way.

Their many bonds made their relationship quite close. Especially for some now 10-year-old kids. Many 'semi-lemon' scenes have taken place in that two-year gap.

Making their bond closer and closer. They both knew each other's feelings for the other. That's why they were still sharing a bed.

The most likely reason Yokoji still hasn't given in, is due to wanting to wait for the right time. And due to the dragon being unable to raise.

However, the latter issue seemed to become less of a problem this year. After all, he has started to notice, his already long shelong, start growing even further.

Honestly, he was probably better than most adults at his original size, yet now as it kept growing, it would be no exaggeration to say that he eclipsed them all.

Unfortunately for Yokoji however, with this new growth spurt, not only has Konan noticed, due to the time that she spent on his lap.

But he has also started to have the dragon come out of its nest sometimes.

Although Konan has yet to notice, it has still managed to get Yokoji to worry. After all, he was barely holding himself back before.

Yet, even though he had those thoughts, in his heart he knew he would wait. He didn't want to hurt her. So he could, and would wait.

Finally, after another hour of getting ready, Konan and Yokoji started to walk outside of the house. Hand in hand.

One searching for a starved boy and dog.

While the other, simply enjoying the time together. Even while knowing it was not the main reason they were out there.
