Chapter 12

Aaliyah's Pov

Four days have passed, I got home, and I went back to work. Daniel didn't sign my resignation letter.

When we talked yesterday at home, he asked me if I wanted to come to work. I was surprised at first, because he doesn't want me to go to work, but when he explained, he said it was fine with him because he was able to see me every day.

Of course I was thrilled with that part.

As for his mom, He just told me that I don't have to worry about his parents anymore. He said he has fixed everything. That he already talked to his parents.

We haven't talked about ourselves yet. Maybe we have a mutual understanding now.

I'm going to work now.

This is my first day since I resigned.

Suddenly I remembered someone. I haven't heard from Vince since I left Lyca's condo. He hasn't even texted or chatted with me yet which is not like him. I don't even see him posting on his Instagram anymore.

I was worried about him, but I was thinking, maybe this is the right thing, So that I don't hurt him just in case.

While I was walking, my phone rang. There is a notification that someone has messaged me.

From Daniel Sy:

"Good morning..

Did you have breakfast?"

I smiled the moment I read his message.

"Good morning" I replied to him.

I was smiling while I was close to the entrance.

I stopped walking when I suddenly saw Vince.

He just got out of his car and suddenly he looked at me.

What is it? He's seriously looking at me.

It's like he's in a bad mood..

I don't know if I should smile or ignore him.

But I was surprised by what he did next.

He just looked away and walked straight to the entrance. Some employees and guards are greeted him.

I can't step at this moment..

There was surprise on his face.

Anyone would be surprised. That fool, I told him not to be too obvious!

'A--hhh a-alright sir!. I'll take it upstairs' I said and took the folder.

'Okay' he said and went back to his place.

I immediately obeyed his order.

I quickly reached his office. I immediately saw his secretary.

'Mr. was inside. Come in' she said to me as if she was expecting my arrival..

'Okay thank you.' I said and stopped knocking because he immediately opened the door.

I went inside.

When the door closed, Daniel Sy immediately hugged me.

'I miss you' he whispered.

Honestly, I miss him too even though we only met yesterday but I realized we were in the office and working. He is my boss so I have to be professional.

'Sir, don't do this. We're in the office.' I told him.

'So what?' He asked.

'Ah sir because, you know maybe---'

'This is the folder you asked for.' I handed him the folder.

'Do you think that's the reason why I asked you here? I should have asked to your supervisor,' he said seriously.

"You want me to pick you up in your office?" He asked.

'No please' I just said to him because he might suddenly visit me in our department.

He grin.

'Lets have some coffee' he said smiling.

Oh his handsome face... When I see him, it's like I'm looking at my son.

This time I did not object to him.

'Alright sir' I said and was about to sit on the couch but he stopped me and held my arm and then he pulled me to face him closer.

The next thing he did surprised me.

He's kissing me.

It's not new to me but of course we're in the office so I'm worried that someone might see us.

I felt him lock the door while our lips were still kissing.

I hugged him back. He's really a good kisser, and no matter who he does this to, they will really lose themselves.

We are slowly walking again towards his office table.

'Don't do this to me Vince! You are important to me. I do not want to lose you. I want you to stay as my friend' I answered to him crying.

'Fuck Ali!!! I think I'm going crazy!' he said and quickly came to me and then...

I was surprised, he caught me off guard.

He kissed me violently so I tried to push him away and get away from him but he was too strong.

'Uhmftffftttttt' some words coming out of my mouth as I pushed him back.

I heard a loud slamming of the door and the next thing that happened was that Vince was on the floor.

It's Daniel.

I can see the anger on his face.

He quickly took my arm and dragged me away from Vince's office.

His face was angry, and the tightness of his grip on my arm.

I couldn't complain. I was just scared of him.

In the elevator, in the hallway, until we got down to the lobby, he didn't let go of me so the faces of everyone who sees us are surprised.

He stopped walking right in the middle of many people.

I looked at the reason why he stopped walking and I was shocked when I saw the face of the woman he was about to marry.

She was sweet and smiling at Daniel.

'Is it her? The one you replace with me?' she asked Daniel while looking at me from head to toe.

The people around us started to whispered.

Daniel didn't answer her, he walked right by her side without letting me go.

When I faced the girl, she spoke.

'He's not serious about you.' She softly whispered to me, I still looking at her even we we're close to the exit.

The guard gave Daniel the key to his car parked in front of the entrance of the building.

He opened the door and let me in.

'Where are we going?' I asked him before he closed the car door but he didn't even answer me.

He quickly got into the driver's seat and started his car quickly.

I slowly opened my eyes. did i sleep??

I wandered my eyes around.

Where I am?!

I fell asleep in his car. But he is not by my side.

When I looked out the window, I saw him approaching me.

'You're awake' he said and opened the car door.

I got down and stared at the entire place as if it was familiar to me, but I saw a beautiful cabin-like place near where he was parked.

'Where are we?' I asked him but he didn't answer.

He just held my arm and then we entered the small but beautiful house.

I was amazed at the beauty. In front of it, the walls are glass so you can see the entire ocean.

Wait.

I went to the small terrace and watched the rocky part in the distance.

I was holding my mouth.

I looked at Daniel who was behind me.

'is this that place?' I asked him. The place where we made Liam.

He smiled and nodded.

This is the place I wanted to go to several times when I missed him.

'I always come here.' He said while looking at the sea.

'I had the cabins built here because when I remembered you, I come here. Actually I bought this place two years ago' he continued.

I can't speak.

'I come here, whenever I miss you. Even though I know you're not here, our memories here, makes me happy.' He said.

I'm crying.

All the pain came back to me since we haven't seen each other.

'I miss you so much, seeing you again and being in front of me like this, seems like it was just a dream' he said. His eyes were very sad .

He also endured the same pain, but I just pushed him away.

I can feel my eyes watering.

I suddenly hugged him while crying.

'I miss you so bad!! almost every day, I wish I could see you even in my dreams! You don't believe me, but you are always on my mind. Until I gave birth to Liam, up until now. It's just only you' I cried to him like a child.

'Shhh don't cry .' he comforted me while caressing my back.

I cried even more because of what he did.

I hugged him even tighter.

In those times that I missed him, I wanted us to be like this.

He was about to break away from my embrace but I stopped him.

'Stay still. Just let me hug you like this' I said because this is what I really want to do and it was on my mind even before we met again.

To hug him tightly.
