Her teary eyes tormented me the entire night. I couldn't sleep at all so decided to go to the office early morning. On my way to the office, I paused and peeked inside her cabin. There she was engrossed in her work. I checked my watch, it was only 7.30 am. The office time starts at 8 so why did she come so early? She always loved her morning sleeps. I couldn't resist myself from asking,
"I thought you hated mornings, how did you become an early bird?"
She looked up from the file and my eyes met with her big amber eyes. They were still the same from my memories.
"Good morning Mr. Smith. Do you need anything?" she asked with a fake professional smile reminding me about our present relationship.
"No, thanks," saying that I turned back to my office. I didn't want to think about the past so it's better to leave her on her own for today I guess.
