chapter 5:- Growing bonds

the other day I was talking with Ankita and suddenly she asked me Yuvraj you were telling me once that you don't like this job so why are you still working here? I told her to just forget about it. But she was persistent in knowing the answer. So I gathered some courage and told her that I'm in love with a girl. She was shocked and she asked me why didn't you tell me that earlier? Who is the girl? I'm your friend I'll help you out just tell me the girl's name? I got nervous at this point about how do I tell her it's you. I got so nervous that to avoid the topic I lied to her saying that it's your friend Trupti. She asked me if it's true? I said yes but don't tell her about this Did she ask me why? I said because it's okay for my love to be one-sided. She said yes but then she got up and went far to sit by herself.

I hit myself on the head saying I messed up again. I looked up and said lord Krishna I would have told her the truth but I was afraid that I'll lose her friendship too. She has recently accepted my friendship I shouldn't just rush things up. Ankita sat far from me and she was focused on her work and I was just looking at her unable to concentrate. Lunchtime started and went to her with my tiffin and offered her my tiffin but she said she wasn't feeling hungry. So I took a piece of tortilla and gave her and told her to eat the food silently and don't act extra smart. She still refused to eat and said I don't want to eat so I said I won't eat as well then. So she opened up her lunchbox and fed me with her own hands and said now don't you act extra smart too. Then I also fed him with my hand and said how stubborn you are, Ankita said yes, I am stubborn and you have made me angry too, When did I get angry you got up on your own and went to sit. I started laughing and she asked me why are you laughing did trupti talk with you? I said no nothing like that. After a while, the team leader came and he was furious he called everyone to his cabin and started shouting at everyone saying why aren't you guys working properly? why isn't there any follow-ups today? Why nobody hasn't given me any files? What are you guys doing? He said everyone to leave except Ankita and trupti so I went outside and I was watching them. The leader was shouting a lot at Ankita and trupti. Ankita was looking at me through the glass and I was teasing her by making funny faces. Our leader came out of the cabin after some time I saw Ankita started crying inside the cabin so I started making faces to cheer her up. She was crying but she was also laughing looking at my face. She came out of the cabin and sat next to me so again to make her laugh. I said baby why are crying? Ankita said you got mad and I'll beat you now don't make me laugh my stomach is paining.

I apologised for my behaviour and asked her are you all right? She said yes. I was crying because my stomach started paining or else why would I ever if some baldy leader shouts at me. I laughed and said mad don't call him baldy he is our leader after all. She laughed and said why? Is he your relative? I said no but there is something called respect. He won't shout at you if you'll just treat him with respect and do the work properly. She got angry and said, ooh so you are very smart. I tucked up my collar said yeah I am smart since childhood. She laughed and said okay.

After a while, our leader came and gave dairy milk to Ankita and apologised to her telling her he don't want to shout at anybody please work with dedication. She was still angry and refused to take the Cadbury but sir insisted on it. So she handed the Cadbury to me saying I don't want to eat it.

So I told sir not to worry I'll make her eat the Cadbury. After that, I broke the Cadbury into 2 pieces and told her I'll eat it for sure. She said sure eat it all. I told her I'll eat it for series see I'm putting the first bar in my mouth. She got angry and was going to shout at me. I put the Cadbury in her mouth and pressed her mouth closed her mouth. She got furious and started hitting me saying you moron why did you do that. I said it's hurting stop hitting me. She said it should hurt that's why I'm hitting. So I gave her the remaining pieces and told her to eat them and also give them to our sir. She broke the piece and I thought she was going to give it to our sir but she shoved the Cadbury in my mouth and said revenge taken. I hit on her shoulder and what kind of revenge is this. She said ouch we both laughed and she distributed the remaining pieces between the colleague.

Then I took out the chocolate I brought for her and gave her she was happy she took the chocolate and said I'll eat it at home. Why at home I asked. She said mad you have given me this if I would open it here I would have to share it. I laughed and agreed with her. we started clicking photos together in different poses. I rested my hand on her shoulder and clicked some more pictures.

After that, we logged out of our systems and went to the station together while holding hands and talking together. I told her you are a very talkative person. She hit and said okay from tomorrow onwards I won't talk with you. I laughed and said sorry. But I like your talkative personality. She said I'll cure your habit of listening then. After reaching the station she said to go carefully home and message me when you reach home. I told her the same thing take care of yourself too and go home safely and meet me again tomorrow in the office. We said bye to each other and went on our separate ways.

Our day went like that having fun together a lot. This becomes very usual talking with each other daily and spending time together. Every day in the office I sit and listen to songs together, I have lunch together. I had become less smoking while living with Ankita and did not even believe in smoking when she lives with me. Day by day our friendship is getting better.

The other day our leader called us again in the cabin for a meeting we all expected that we will be yelled at again. Ankita said everyone gets ready to hear some yelling now. I said yeah we will be ready just you don't cry like a monkey today. She slapped hard at my back I said ouch that hurt. Sir Ask what happened yuvraj, I said Nothing Sir my back shoulder got stuck for a second. Ankita silently starts smiling.

Ankita went ahead and I was behind her and we teased each other then our leader started the meeting and told us about the new upcoming offer for us. He told us we can earn up to 1 thousand extra all you need to do is to complete 25 follow-ups. Team Leader Said Tomorrow is Sunday so from Monday To Saturday You Have Time To Archive The Target And Win 1k. We all were excited and happy thinking we'll get 1 thousand for just 25 follow-ups. Sir further told us that if we complete the incentive we will go to a resort for celebration. We will enjoy the next Sunday so guys do your best we won't get these types of offers all the time.

We all went out and started to think about how to complete the 15 follow-ups it was easy so we will not do timepass and we will work hard for this. After we all logged out Ankita ordered me Yuvraj you should not do time pass and fun in the office tomorrow we have to go to the resort anyhow. I said don't worry. As we were leaving for our homes I took my hand out to have a handshake with Ankita but she didn't shake my hand. She came over to me and hugged me I was shocked this feeling gave me chills in my body. I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling at the time. I decided I'll propose to her this Sunday on resort trip whatever happens. I'll accept even if she says no. All I have to do is wait for the next Sunday.
