Not Born Yesterday

On the fourth day the king assembled his court once more and summoned Lord Chronos. He then pleaded with him to help him prevent his curse.

After much persuasion Chronos agreed but made a deal with the king that after this that him and his son would be left alone and would get protection from any other intrusions. He would perform the time ritual on the fifth day.

On the fifth day, the king ordered that he be locked up till the ritual was done. He was then led to the dungeon and chained like a beast. He was chained with more than one hundred enchanted chains.

Meanwhile Chronos was provided with everything he needed for the ritual and had started right away with only but Nessus present. At the struck of noon a portal opened and Kairos took the twins ready to take them into the portal that led to the future. A guard quickly rushed in," Lord Nessus, the king has escaped and is approaching as we speak", the guard said almost out of breath.

"Fortify the entrance and buy us some time, the ritual is almost finished", Nessus ordered while unsheathing his sword. He would try and stop the king. He has to although he knew he stood no chance against him.

Kairos has already entered the portal with the twins, they were now awaiting his return to close the portal. Nessus also sent with them an Almiraj each for protection and to help them realize there abilities in time.

Then they started hearing battle cries as the king slayed whoever was on his path. He had his flaming sword on one hand and the other was claw ridden. His pupils were slit shaped like that of an angry cat, still as blue as ever. He still had chains dangling on some parts of his body as he walked with a Stern look on his face determined to kill anybody in his way.

He reached his throne room door were the ritual was being performed. There were several guards all with their sword out ready to attack him. He halted, then with one swing of his sword he vapourized most of them and the remaining ones rushed to attack, they have been trained to posses no fear. He grabbed one on the throat as his claws dug in as he approached and set him ablaze then threw him towards another approaching guard, they both screamed as they burned to crisp. Then he raised his clawed hand towards the door and the remaining guards. A ball of fire cuddled up into his palms and he let it go towards them. As the ball of fire passed, every guard turned to Ashes. Then it hit the reinforced door of the throne room leaving a dent on it. Then he walked towards the door and with one punch, the door fell inward crashing on the floor with a loud bang. Kairos was already back and they were sealing the portal. He threw forward his burning sword to stop them but Nessus stopped it with his own sword. The portal was closed. Nessus went on his knees then bowed,"It has been done sire, your offsprings are lost in time. They are safe now".

He heeded nothing Nessus had said as he walked pass him and stood before Chronos who had no fear in his eyes.

"Am going to ask just once, were did you send them", he asked slowly to install fear looking him dead in the eye.

"I'm not certain of where or when they have been sent and even if I did, the ritual would never let you walk into time to find them by yourself. And also you cannot slay me cause I am the only one who has access to when they have been sent", Chronos said still looking Stern. He had confronted worse during his younger days.

"Is that so? Then I'll make you send my men after them", king Miguel said as he seized the throat of Kairos and lifted him up, his legs wiggling in the air wanting to be set free. "You would do as you are told", he added as he threw Kairos towards his throne then sent a blue ball of fire after him. The ball didn't hit him, instead it created a cage like enclosure with Kairos inside.

"You are the master of time are you not? This cage would shrink over time and would burn your son to ashes slowly. It depends on you whether he lives or not", he said with a smirk on his face as he walked up his throne and sat. Chronos was still composed but he wouldn't want his son to die.

"Now you would do as I ask", he said then turned towards Nessus who was still on his knees.

"Stand Nessus and gather every beast, every creature that hunts, every Demi God and sorcerer in need for a quest. For we shall hunt down my children and they shall be brought back to me alive for only I shall slay them", he ordered as Nessus stood. He was still their king and must be obeyed.

Kairos had sent Cyane and Ignis to different places with different background but the same time... 2025 as was ordered by Nessus. Cyane was left with a well to-do couple in America. He would lack nothing.

Ignis on the other hand was sent to a group of misfits, a man who owns the league of assassins at the sacred city of Eth Alth'eban. They were each left with an Almiraj, a one-horned hare but was disguised as a dog for ignis and a cat for Cyane.

There, their story would begin. The beginning of the end of the curse....
