The End Of Orleans And A Space To Call Your Own

Entry 151:

Linus Ozias POV:

The two saints stare at one another before rushing towards one another, their flags meeting and sparking as they clash over and over again, with each strike causing quakes across the city. 

In the original story, the saint would not be able to match up to our dark counterpart as she is connected to the Holy Grail, thus granting her a large amount of magical energy to augment herself with.

But I am here, and with Jeanne connected to me, I am essentially acting as an infinite magical generator for her to use so that she is able to match her darker counterpart. 

All the other servants watch as the battle continues, with Ritsuka pulling popcorn from her suit's inventory somehow.

But for now, Tamamo and Ritsuka are enjoying the popcorn as Kiyohime and Siegfried watch the battle unfold. Siegfried asks, "Should we help her?" Kiyohime is the first to answer, "No dragon slayer, as this is a battle for more than just victory but to prove whose ideals and existence can be proven. We do not interfere."

Soon enough, the dark Jeanne activates her Noble Phantasm: "This is the howl of a soul filled with hatred! La Grondement Du Haine!" 

Her pure hatred for France and the world is shown through the dark fire enveloping Jeanne as she remains steadfast as she says, "I can feel the hatred you hold from these flames, and while you may not be an alternative of myself, I can understand where such hatred came from."

Jeanne begins to glow as she continues, "I remember my death, and I knew that even though I did not wish to die, I accepted it as a part of his plan, and while you may not be me, you could have been what I could be and I accept that."

Jeanne then activates her Noble Phantasm for the first time, and her flag spreads a golden light across the city as she shouts with fervor, "Oh flag of mine, protect our comrades! Luminosité Eternelle!"

Her light spreads through the church as the ruined city is bathed in holy light, and her Noble Phantasm soon spreads across France due to her being connected to me. 

With every passing second, all the skeletons and wyverns disintegrated, and the flames of hatred put out. As the light fades and the Noble Phantasm ends, Jalter can be seen almost in a trance-like state, as if remembering a prior experience.

She then looks at me, and I nod as she rushes Jeanne, who simply dodges and runs Jalter through with the flag's spear end. At that moment, Jalter smiles as she says, "I don't hear the voices anymore. You truly are the real saint, and while I can never apologize for what I've done, I welcome this fate."

I then walk up next to her. As she begins to disappear, she says, "What are you? Can you show me one last time?" I nod as I show her what I am in her mind. As she smiles and says, "So you were there. That makes me feel better. Take this." 

She hands me her flag as she disappears and says, "I hope to see you again, my Lord, and may our Wrath burn all those who threaten Humanity."

The holy grail then drops to my foot, and I pick it up as I see the other servants look at me as I ask, "You all only have a couple of minutes before you begin to disappear, and I shall ask who wishes to follow us?"

Siegfried drops to one knee as he asks, along with Kiyohime and Queen Antoinette, and even Mozart, "We will follow you, so we swear to uphold the human order."

I then reach out and form contracts with them all, but I do manipulate Mozart's mind a bit as I see something that makes me rather angry. 

But I do not show it on my face. As if I did nothing, Mozart nods along with Elizabeth entering the room as she says, "I have a feeling we will meet again, so I will not be coming along with you all besides an existence as beautiful as myself shall always exist."

Elizabeth then disappears. I wonder if she knows when she will appear again. As the other servants connect to me, I feel various doors within my Throne of Heroes begin to open as I may now access the abilities of Kiyohime, Mozart, Queen Antoinette, and  Siegfried.

I then say, "Well done, everyone, the first singularity is complete. Only six more to go. For now, we return to Chaldea." Ritsuka then says, worried, "Wait! We still have not found a baguette yet!"

I then smile and show her a whole basket of them I found as she slept yesterday, and she smiles and says, "You're the best, Oz!" as I then hear Olga over the comms [If the delusional Master is done, we shall begin the ray shift process I would advise all servants to return to their astral forms.]

I ask Jeanne, "Will you follow us to a brighter tomorrow?" She nods, and the bond is made as she says, "I will follow you anywhere, Lord Ozias, and I believe you know why."

The servants other than Mash return to their astral forms and go into our shadows as we are ray-shifted out of there, and our bodies and minds are taken from France back to the future.

Although I may have neglected to mention how when the saint activated her Noble Phantasm, it may have caused a bit of a religious event as all across France, people bowed to the golden light as they praised the Lord for his benevolence.

The hundred-year war will not come to an end for a decent amount of time, but for now, time moves as it should as the sham grail war ends. But I do wonder why there was no demon god in the singularity, but such a thought can be expanded upon later.

As we return to the future, Ritsuka immediately throws up again, with Mash and myself patting her on the back as she says, defeated, "Why do you guys not do this, but I do?" I smile and say, "Mash is a demi servant and more in tune with spiritrons, and I am well me, so I have no problems with it."

Ritsuka deadpans me as she says, "That is not an answer, but whatever. I need to go eat something after all this, so give me the baguettes Oz." I give them to her as she smiles and says, "Trekking through hours of dirt roads was so worth it." Mash simply sighs as we all smile.

[(RA) Welcome back, everyone, and Ozzy, how is the grail?] 

Ozzy? Really? I simply say, "It seems to have gone dormant when disconnected from the singularity, and I've already disconnected it from the ritual, so no more magic energy will flow through this Grail."

I then hear Paracelsus say excitedly [ Please bring it to the command room as I would love to study it as holy Grails are literally the highest form of Wishcraft. Oh, the advances we will be able to learn by studying it.]

I can hear the man's excitement from here as Olga then says [Lord Hohenheim, I apologize, but I do not believe we should study these Grails as they may still be connected to whatever is causing this.]

I can now feel the man deflating as he says [ You are right, lady Animusphere, and even though it will be such a fun thing to study, I will be able to keep my impulses in check.]

I then take the grail and analyze it down to the very spiritual core, and so now I can make my own holy grails as they are relatively simple to make.

Each Holy Grail is, in effect, a mass of pure Magical Energy, which reacts to the wishes of the one who holds it to grant them; however, on their own, they cannot generate true miracles without outside intervention. 

Left alone, they enter a purely reactive state. However, they can spontaneously summon Servants as a defense mechanism should they be placed in abnormal situations like those encountered in the Grand Orders.

Now, I can, in effect, make a grail war whenever I want, but I will avoid doing so as none of them have ended well for humanity, and if they did, it was only for a short while. So I then head to the command room to find Da Vinci, Roman, Olga, and Paracelsus discussing the singularities.

I enter the room as Olga runs over and checks me for injuries. I smile and say, "Director, I know I just got back, but we're going to need some time before I can go on that date." Olga blushes as she says, "We will do no such a thing, and I was only seeing if you have suffered from any issues when ray shifting."

The others look at us with amused expressions as Da Vinci says, "Ah yes, young love, but for now, let us place this grail in stasis, shall we? And director, I expect a marriage invitation in the future."

The director looks ready to explode as I simply say, "I believe that's enough as it looks like the door is about to explode for now, though I have to ask if you have located the next singularity?" 

Romani then says, "We are still trying to narrow it down, but we are getting close, as it should only take two days." I nod as I expected as such. Even in the game, these singularities took place nearly back to back during this arc.

I then decide to ask the director, "Olga, if I may be so bold, would you allow me to make some changes to the rooms where the servants are going to stay as I am expecting a decently rowdy crowd? In large numbers, I may add."

The director then says, "That is acceptable. Just make sure not to damage the facility's structural integrity when you are making your modifications." I nod as I leave the room. I head to the dormitories section, and I see a hallway with the same room structure for each one.

So, using my ability as well as my divinity as a creator, I changed the rooms slightly to where when a servant enters their room, it is changed to fit what they desire or what they see as home. 

While the rooms may never create intelligent life, they may recreate settings and even weather patterns similar to a more powerful room of requirement from Harry Potter.

I also added a function where each servant can teleport to their room, so they need to walk down the now infinite hallway. In addition to a function where if a servant is needed, one can summon the room to them.

I then mentally message the servants:" May all of you please come out. I have a request for each of you." All of my servants appear, including Medusa and Murasaki, who came from the library.

I then show them the dormitory rooms. "I would ask you all to take a room, but before doing so, place a hand on the door and imagine the place you view is home." Jeanne is the first to do so, and the symbol on the door changes to a flag with a cross on it. As she enters, she finds her old home surrounded by fields of flowers, and she stops and smiles.

The other servants are flabbergasted as Jeanne hugs me for this, and I return it and look to others. "Feel free to take any room you like, and if you wish to make changes, simply place your hand on the door again. This is your space for all of you, so feel free to make it your own. It is my gift to all of you."

All the servants nod, smiling as they each take a room, and they all marvel at the detail in each one as if they stepped back in time. Luckily, I am able to do this easily thanks to my essence of the Throne of Heroes projecting what my servants see as their home.

Tamamo invites me to her room for tea, and I accept as Jeanne simply sits inside her home, looking at a picture of her family. Siegfried finds his room to be a house in the middle of a forest that holds training equipment. Medusa returns home to Greece before she is sent to the Shapeless Isles.

Murasaki recreates her childhood home in Japan along with Tamamo, with the Queen and Mozart recreating their individual palaces and places of rest.

I will do the same for Ritsuka and everyone else, but later, as I sit drinking tea with Tamamo, she asks, "Why do this for us? We are already subservient to you, but you go so far for us. Why?"

I simply drink the tea and say, "Even if you are not the original versions, you are all your own people with your own memories and your own experiences, and even I understand being in a new place and even as adaptable as you all are each one of you deserves a slice of your original lives to feel comfort even in a new time and a new place it's the least I could do."

Tamamo nods as she then asks, "When you were describing your lover Yasaka, you said you had others. Do they know of each other?" I nod as I almost laugh. "Ironically enough, it was Yasaka who recommended it and even told me it was all right. All she asked was that she approved of them, and I agreed."

The fox woman then smiled and said, "She sounds like a wonderful woman. I would love to meet her." I look at her and wonder how the two would act around the other as I then say, "Well, all of the women I have in my life are an integral part of it as I cannot imagine one without my Valkyrie, nine tails, little devil singer and even the earth itself along with an archangel that loves to tease me."

My comment on my harem causes the fox woman to spit out her tea as she looks at me like I'm insane, and I just laugh and enjoy the calm atmosphere. For now, Orleans is behind us, and for now, I look to the future.
