When I woke up in another dimension, surrounded by nothingness and a ROB. I did not know I would be offered to quest around the multiverse to fix different problems or gain power. But we both knew the real reason; it was more than simply questing across the multiverse. It was my journey to become more and find my purpose. Entry 58:
Asia Argento POV:
Ever since I could remember, I have been helping people every day, praying to God for salvation, not only for myself but for others, and I was satisfied with that.
Now I know that there is a threat to my life, and while I should feel scared, I'm not.
Because he is here, because Lord Anakim is here, and he always reminds me that he is through simple things such as greetings, little conversations, and even telling me stories.
Some of them have bad ends which make me almost cry for them, such as the story of a hero who wears red and blue and even as he suffers, he continues to help people, the story of a woman who could control bugs that saved the world but died and was left forgotten and others.
I asked why he would tell such sad stories, and he said, looking off into the distance as both of us sat at the top of the church tower.
"Not every story has a happy ending, little nun, and we must always speak of happiness and sadness in equal measure because not everyone gets a happy ending, and it's a reminder to always seek our own ending."
He continued, "Because while most would seek the happy ending, most forget that without sadness without trials, happiness is almost empty or feels unearned and while most may prefer a purely happy journey, it's rather not realistic."
What he said brought a rather interesting dilemma in my mind as well. I've sought the happiness of others for such a long time I've really never thought of my own.
And as if sensing my unease, he places his rather large hand on my head, and while this makes me feel embarrassed, it's also rather nice, like a juggernaut that is always with me.
I know he's not going to be here forever for an angel like him. This is but a small part of his story, and I'm happy to have played a part in it.
It's in these little moments, though, that my heart betrays me.
Linus Ozias POV:
These past couple of days have been lovely. I have been keeping up with my training and talking to Asia and the other priests, and it's nice to have no immediate objective, and here I remain, waiting at the top of the tower, watching the entrance to the convent.
Since an additional two days have passed, I have had ten more charges appear in my soul.
I spent three of them increasing the density of my holy power and magics. The effects were almost immediate, with me having to spend a charge to increase my control over the energy.
The other six charges I spread around more evenly. Two charges were spent on my perception, two toward increasing my martial arts aptitude, and the last two towards my calculative ability.
In addition to my training that has increased my power exponentially due to the broken limiter essence and these charges, I'll be heading to the top in no time.
I tell you what, though, the ability to use actual magic is amazing as well I do have access to my creation Magic which I have been using more over the past couple of days.
I've been attempting to create a warehouse similar to that of a jump chain Warehouse that is separate from this dimension to act as my lab because I can't simply line a basement in different materials and energy shielding.
Now I have to worry about the bullshit that is sacred gears, specifically Dimension Lost, the Spear of Longinus and Annihilation Maker, and the actual presence of Gods and a couple of Primordials.
But enough ruminating on possibility as it seems like the fly has entered my web.
I see two Devils enter the premises, one being Diodora himself along with an accomplice who then waits at the back of the church for Diodora to teleport back to the underworld.
As the accomplice leaves to return to the back of the building, Diodora then attempts to harm himself, which I cannot allow as if he is harmed on Church property even without reason, the Devils can use it against us.
So, as soon as he charges up some magic to slash at himself, I appear behind him, and as he is about to attack me out of surprise, I have already knocked him out.
( If you guys think this is ridiculous, remember our main character is in mid-ultimate class while Diodora is in mid-high class before his upgrade from getting Ophis's snake, and for reference, an ultimate class can kill dozens of high classes easily.)
I then proceed to inject him with nanomachines that will keep track of his every move and record every word he says and everything he sees. It will also subtly influence his behavior until the nanomachines take full control of him.
Luckily, I don't need to worry about them being found via Magic due to the upgrades I've made to them in the Nano Forge.
So as I hold the little welp, I go to the back of the building and find his accomplice attempting to smoke a cigarette, and as I appear in front of him, he looks up, proceeds to piss himself, and passes out after feeling the difference in our power.
" Cowards the lot of them," I think to myself while thinking of how I should deal with the old Satan faction and the various factions of the Khaos Brigade.
After taking care of the rabble and placing them in a cage created out of my own holy power, I call up Sandalphon.
As the connection opens, I hear snoring in the background, and I just sigh in disappointment as it seems like my Superior has fallen asleep reading her manga again.
"Commander Sandalphon!" I slightly say, raising my voice, "Wuzzhat- Oh Anakim, it's you. Have you found any devil intruders?"
I respond, "I have, and they seem to be Diodora Astaroth, along with an accomplice, a recently reincarnated devil, it seems." I hear Sandalphon muttering about politics and how Michael is going to kill her.
She then sighs and says, "Anakim, can you guard them for a while? I need to get an archangel for this as this is a high-profile intrusion." I respond, "Yes, Lady Sandaphon, I have already secluded them, and the church has been emptied as I also found other pertinent information."
All I hear is her saying, "You really like doing this to me, don't you, big meanie?"
I cut off the call before I chuckle and watch for the reinforcements as I hear that Diodora has woken up.
"Where am I? Who dares lock up the relative of a Satan? Come out right now. I command you!"
He tries to pry at the bars of the cage, which burns him, and I have him on camera that shows that he broke in and tried to harm himself to enter the convent and be healed.
And as I stand outside as the worm continues to shout obscenities in his high-pitched voice, I just know one thing.
This is going to be a long wait.
