Chris

The ride to my spot was really nice. First, I got to hold Cee's hand because I noticed that she was getting anxious when I asked her if she was afraid of heights. It was such a risky move because I didn't know how Cee would react but good thing she didn't say or do anything. She just let me hold on to her hand while I drove along. I had to let go of her hand though when I decided to turn on the music and I wanted to hold her hand again but I was afraid that she might think that I am taking advantage of her so I just talked to her instead.

I could sense that she was getting comfortable because she was no longer clutching her seat and she was no longer feeling tense. When Fergie's "Clumsy" played, I was really embarrassed because it was a girly song and I know that it was one of Bran's doings. He has the habit of playing around with other people's playlists and we have been victims of that. But I was a bit grateful because it somehow expresses my feelings for Cee. I tried humming along and whenever the part "clumsy coz I'm falling in love" would come up, I would then glance up at her and smile. I know that she noticed it because she would then blush. Oh God I love seeing her blush. She looks so cute.

When the song finished, I asked her about her favorite song. When she said "If You've ever been in love" by Intrigue, I didn't know what to say because I haven't heard of that song. I made a mental note to search for that song and maybe familiarize it. We then talked about Cebu. I found out from Bran that she spent 4 years there to be with her grandmother and its one of the places that I've always wanted to visit. She told me about the beautiful places that she visited there and I told her that maybe she could be my tour guide when I visit Cebu in the future and she agreed.

When we reached my spot, I couldn't help but glance at Cee and check if she was scared of the place. What I saw next made it to my list of memorable things. Cee looked so happy and her hair was blowing in the wind and the sun made her skin glow. I didn't see any fear in her eyes. She was smiling and she looked so carefree.

"Chris! This is breathtaking! How did you find this place?" Cee asked.

"I was driving one day with no idea where I was going and Bran called me so I had to pull over and stop the car to answer him. When I got out of the car, I saw how beautiful the scene is so I decided from that time on that this was going to be my spot."

"Wow! Its great that you discovered this place. Do you come here often?"

"Yes. Whenever I want to clear my mind or when I am too stressed out. The scene calms me. Sometimes I would come up here, just stare at the city below and sometimes write music. I've been here a couple of times at night and the view is romantic as well."

"I'd like to come here when its dark. So, you've been here with the guys?"

"No. You're actually the first person that I brought here. This is my "spot" and I come here whenever I want to be alone. But since I brought you here, this will now be "our spot".

When I said that, Ceethen blushed and then smiled. Its true. I haven't brought anybody here even Bran and the boys. I never wanted to share this place with anybody before but when I met Cee, I feel like she's the one that I can share this place with. When Cee said that she wanted to come here at night, I took note of it and maybe some day we'll come back here at night.

I then laid out the mat that I brought and arranged the pillows and the blankets. Cee helped me with the food and we laid on the mat looking at the sky.

"Cee, why did you decide to go to Cebu?"

"I've always wanted to be out of my family's shadow. I mean, I am grateful for the blessings but I just don't feel comfortable attending the galas and parties. And most of the special treatment that people would give you if they find out about your last name. I knew I had to get away from all that so when my grandmother got sick, I knew I had to go and take care of her."

"Wow. I admire you for that Cee. Not all girls would do that because most girls here would die to be in your shoe. But I know you're not like other girls. You are so independent and from what Bran told me, you even asked your father's help to organize charitable events to help some orphanages back in Cebu."

"Yes that's true. I joined a school activity back in freshman year and we went to an orphanage. I saw their situation and saw how much they needed help so I asked my dad to help me organize an event to help them. From that time on, it became an annual event and all the proceeds are given to the children."

"You are indeed an angel Cee. I totally admire you for that."

Cee just smiled and then became quiet. To break the silence, I told Cee the reason why I am staying with them. I came from a business-minded family and when they found out that I was into music, they wanted to discourage me and pushed me to follow my father's footsteps. When I declined, they sent me to my uncle here in Manila and from that time on, I haven't gone back home in Antique. My mom and brothers would occasionally call me to check on me but me and my dad has been distant. My uncle died when I was still 12 but I didn't go back home. I stayed in his house and that's how I started living on my own. It was freshman year that Bran and I became friends and from that time on, we clicked. When his parents found out that I was living alone, they invited me to stay with them. I declined at first but they were so insistent and told me that they want somebody to be with Bran since they travel a lot and their daughter is living in Cebu. I have been living with them ever since.

Cee was quite when I finished. I asked her if I said something wrong but she said no. She said that it was sad that my parents did not support my dream of becoming a musician but I told her that it was okay and that maybe in time they would learn to accept it.
