Chapter 6 A Nightmare

Dean said,

"Well Miss, it has been a while since i last visited Sun valley and thus i am not so familiar with my environment. So, i would like you to be like a tour guide around the building until i have gone through all the projects i need to supervise".

Magdalene gulped several times and shook her head as if to wake up from a dream; more like a nightmare but what could she do?

After all she caused it upon herself. Their was absolutely nothing she could do, this was definitely a trap.

Magdalene,"..." 

"Worst case scenario, am definitely going to get fired today. That's the worst thing that could happen right now or should I prepare for the worst. Is he going to take advantage of me? If not why else would he pick me to escort him". Or is this how he wants to get his revenge on me. Sooner or later i will have to apologise. What am i even thinking about?

I should count it as an honor to be his escort for the day.

It is probably going to be my last day working here. I can't just leave with a stranger at least my safety should not be compromised.

She looked at Stacy with puzzled look and wanted to tell her to be close to them but keep a safe distance but, she couldn't.

After sever seconds of thinking she finally led the way.

They walked in silence for so long that the atmosphere became so weird as the silence was killing her. Finally the silence was broken.

Dean said,

"Miss Ken have you ever thought about working somewhere else"?

At the sound of that Magdalene could hear her heart beat rapidly. She felt shivers run down her spine, she kept blinking. Finally, she felt her legs become so weak that they could not carry her any more.

Magdalene could not believe her ears right now!

"Was he firing her ?

What about all the bills she has to pay?

She cannot live without earning money.

Where was she going to seek for employment"?

This was definitely a nightmare.

She passed out...

Dean could see the fear on her face and for some reasons he felt sad. He was just joking around, he never meant for anything of this sort.

All he wanted to do was to scare her a bit and not make her collapse suddenly.

Anyways the deed has already been done, so he rushed her to the nurses station.

At the nursing station...

Magdalene finally woke up with a headache. She looked around and saw Dean speaking with the nurse.

The nurse said,

"All she needs right now is to rest. She passed out as a result of the shock and stress. Is nothing serious."

Dean was finally relieved and so was Magdalene.

Then the nurse left after checking on her.

Magdalene finally apologized...

Magdalene said,

"Am really sorry sir, i had no idea of who you were. Plus the day under the rain you had saved my life and i didn't appreciate it".

"Honestly , I know i owe you but, please not my job. I need to keep my job".
