Not Enough For Four

Blake and Max return to the police station each holding a small rabbit. They place the rabbits on a table, and Max begins to carve into it's skin, revealing the fresh red meat. He removes the organs. He takes the meat off the bones and places the bleeding strips into a pan for Blake to cook over a fire.

Not long later Lily comes out of the holding area. Her eyes light up as the smell of grilled rabbit fills her nose, herr mouth waters at the thought of eating the fresh meat.

Blake hands her a plate and she immediately takes a peice and pops it in her mouth. When they hear the groans of the man in the cage awoken by the smell of the meat.

"How long has it been since he's eaten anything??" Lily looks at her brothers worried for the man.

"I don't know. A few days, maybe a week." Blake states.

"Really!!?? He's still kinda living, he still needs something to eat, right??" Lily looks towards the room with the cells.

"Yeah I guess. We don't have any left meat we'll get extra tomorrow." Blake says before tearing into the small rabbit leg.

"Well I guess I'll give him mine till tomorrow." Lily walks towards the room with the still groaning man inside, still holding her plate.

"Fine but don't complain to us when you get hungry." Max shrugs and continues munching on the meat in his hand.

Lilith walks up to the room containing the pair of jail cells. She opens the heavy door and sees Roy laying on his side holding his stomach groaning. When Roy hears Lily's footsteps he quicky hurrys to sit up and hold back his groans.

Lilith puts her hand and the plate through the bars. Smelling the aroma coming from the plate, Roy instinctively jumped to his feet and began walking towards the plate and the girl.

Lily becoming startled with Roy's sudden action she placed the nearing full plate on the ground inside the cell. Roy rushed over and began savagely devouring the rabbit. Just before he had almost finished the meat he looked over at the girl. Lilith had a sad, jealous but happy smile, the smile she got when she gave you a yummy treat that she secretly wanted to eat.

Seeing the girls expression Roy finished eating the meat in his hand and looked down at the 3 remaining pieces.

Roy then slid the plate under the bars and to the girl on the other side. Her eyes lit up when she'd seen what Roy had done. She began eating the rest of the meat looking at the man. Lilith began to wonder, he must still have some sort of his humanity left.

Roy watched the girl happily eat the meat from the plate. Once Lily finished the meat it's gamey smell disappeared from the room. Instead the smell in the air was soon replaced by the sweet smell of the girl and a strange slight rotting smell.
