Episode 14: Incompetence

The night was slow for Mia. She lay on her bed facing the ceiling for hours. She wanted to sleep but her body did not want to do so.

Being in a new environment after a long time is taking a toll on her and she dislikes it. What is worse is that Ethan seemed to be making things tough for her.

She is brave and strong on the outside but inside she is not so brave and strong. She sat upright on her bed crossing her legs as she picked up her phone which has been idle for a while as it lay beside her.

It blinked a couple of times indicating it was midnight. She sighed and stared out the window which was beside her bed from her bed.

Her phone beeped and vibrated indicating a notification. It was a message from Liam. He said, “Good morning. How is your new environment?"

Mia adjusted her sitting position which made her legs touch the floor before replying. “It's alright," she said

“Mm, things are going well here. Raymond has delivered the packages" Liam said
