Episode 11: New Teammate

The jeep speeds off on the road. It was at least moving at a speed of eighty-five miles per hour. A fair man in a tuxedo and had on shades sat beside Mia staring intently at the road. Mia scrolled through her phone not paying attention to anything else.

The man beside her removes the shades and glances at Mia for a while. He takes his gaze back to the road. He glances at Mia but before he removes his gaze Mia turns to him and he averts his gaze immediately.

Mia goes back to her phone and he goes back to watching the road seemingly more concentrated than the driver. He steals a glance at Mia again and Mia notices this but says nothing.

After some minutes he diverts his attention from the road back to Mia and takes off his eyes when he feels Mia is about to turn in his direction but she does not do this completely. He does this three more consecutive times.

“What is it?” Mia asked with a hoarse voice staring down at her phone screen

“What do you mean?” the man asked
