04 Prelude to Awakening of the King

Months and Years pass after I decline Azazel's Invitation to join Grigory. I'm now 7 years old so I need to go to school now. I still continue to train in the forest atleast once a week to improve my abilities. According to the appraisal lens (A/n: Which I will just call Analyze later on) I'm now considered as a Tier 1 being, although in the lower end of Tier 1. And the most disturbing thing is that Azazel sometimes disturb me in my training bugging me to join him but It's also a good thing for me as his curiousity and ideas help me in training.

Today I'm with Issei and Irina walking towards the school. The school was the most boring place that I've been to, the only thing that they do is Teach how to write numbers and letters which I can do even with my eyes close.

During lunch, I eat together with Issei, Irina and Sophia who is the new addition to our group. We met Sophia when she was getting bullied in the classroom, after standing up for her, we become friends which leads to one thing to another. However there is one problem, I can feel that Sophia was not a human, or atleast pure human and the results of analyze also prove that she's a hybrid, but it seems that she doesn't know about it so I just keep it to my self.

"Hey, Sophia, will your Mom allow you to stay over my house this saturday?" Irina whispered to Sophia, though I still heard it because of my enhance hearing.

"I think Mom wouldn't mind but why do you ask?" Sophia answered whispering to Irina's ear.

"You see, sometimes Issei and Gray stay over our house, so I'm asking you if you want to join" Irina said.

"You can sleep besides Gray if you want" Irina added. I almost choke on my food as Sophia's face reddens like my hair, really what is happening inside your little head girl, you're to young for that.

Sophia notice me almost choking on my food and ask me if I'm ok.

'He can't possibly heard that right' Sophia thought as blush appear slightly on her face.

After eating lunch, the boring classes continues but I'm not paying attention. During classes, I'm training my Creation Magic to mold a clay under my table, from a simple sword to an anime figure just to enhance my precision.

After the school ended, the four of us are walking to our home and fortunately, Sophia's home was only one street away, so we can walk together with her.

At night, I trained at Space-Time Magic. Currently I can increase and decrease my own time by 1.5 times and teleport small object within 5 meters. After draining all of my mana I end the day with a goodnight sleep.

Saturday came and Issei and I was preparing our bags before coming to Irina's house.

"Nii-san are you done yet?' I ask.

"Yeah, just give me a minute" he answered.

"Okay but hurry up because Irina and Sophia was waiting for us."

Honestly, Irina's house was only 5 minutes walk from here but arriving early was better. Issei and I leave our house and started to walk towards Irina's house. After arriving in front of the door, Issei knock over and Irina's father greet us.

"So it's you, Issei, Gray. Come in" he let us in and was greeted by Irina and Sophia.

"Issei, Gray Come here!' Irina points towards her room and entered. We followed her and put our things in the corner.

Our day ended with us talking, playing games, watching a movie and taking a nap. After eating dinner with them, Issei and I go to the guest room in their house where we will sleep. Sophia was with Irina on her room.

Morning came and nothing of significant happens. In the afternoon, we planned to play in the nearby park where Issei will be killed in the future. Seeing the park reminds him that this place will soon be a spot for powerful beings in the future. Considering the sudden increase of strenght of the enemies from Season 1 and Season 2 in the anime, his strength now was not worth mentioning. Fortunately he still have 10 years, and by that time he will have the strength of a High Class Devil or even more.

It's already 5 Pm and the only thing we do are circling the whole park, trying to pick flowers, running around or playing hide and seek. We also buy some ice cream along the way.

"Gray you're the one who will try to find us this time." Irina said while snickering.

"Okay~" I face the tree and close my eyes and started counting to 10.

After I finish counting, I started to look around the park. The forst one I found was Sophia, behind the ice cream stall. 10 minutes pass and we still can't find the shadow of Issei and Irina.

"Hey Sophia, do you know where Issei and Irina hide, it's almost sunset" I asked Sophia as it's starting to get dark now.

"I don't know but, I see Irina pulling Issei to that direction earlier" Sophia said while pointing towards the sea of trees.

Sophia and I try to go to that direction and found a factory, or atleast what is use to be a factory.

As we approach the factory we suddenly heard a clanking sounds alongside Irina's Scream.

"Irina!" I shouted as I starts to run toward the factory.

Seeing that the door is lock. I immediately use my magic even though Sophia was watching. After entering, I immediately found Irina crying in the corner.

"Irina! where's Nii-san?" I ask her as I started to panic.

"I-Issei was c-caught by a monster" Irina said as she cried to my chest.

"Sophia can you take care of Irina for now" I said to Sophia as I started to run deep in the factory.

After a while I found Issei with the monster, or should I say the Stray Devil that attack them. Issei have wounds on his thigh and left arm, which can be critical if he continue to lose blood.

"You devil!" I shouted in anger as I grap a Metal pole near me. I use my Creation magic to shape it into a sword and reinforce it.

However because this is my first fight, the stray devil can easily block my attacks. The stray just continue to toy to me as I become injured as more time pass by.

"Kukuku, you're just a human child and you think you can kill me?!" the devil said as he laugh with a smirk on his face. I can see that he is enjoying toying with me but I can't do anything except to swing my swords as anger clouded my mind.

I also tried using Time magic to myself to atleast increase my speed but the stray still fend it off easily.

After 5 minutes, the devil had enough and try to kill me. I can only try to depend myself because I can't dodge as the attacts are to fast. The stray continue to hit my thighs, my arm and my stomach has a wound in it.

My body drop to the ground. Pain is the only thing that I can feel, and I can hardly move any part of my body.

"Goodbye kid, I will atleast compliment you for trying, Kuhaha" The devil said as my vision turns black.

Black. Everything I can see is black. As if I'm back in the void.

'I see.. did I died again..?' I thought to myself thinking all the things that happens in short 7 years, or 3 years of my life in that world.

"HAHAHA, For you to summon me like this, I see that your luck has run out, Mongrel!" I heard a voice said behind me.

I look around and saw something that shock me. Blond hair, Blood red eyes and that catchy golden armor.

"King of Heroes, Gilgamesh" I said out loud while staring at him with wide eyes.

"I see that you recognize me, Mongrel. Well, considering that you dare to copy this King's Noble Phantasm, It's impossible you do not know This King" He said as he look at me, giving me goosebumps.

"But Do not worry, because I pity you, and your pitiful excuse of a Noble Phantasm that doesn't even contain 1% of all the worlds treasure, I'll give you a chance to prove yourself." He said as he look at me with seriousness in his eyes.

"Gray Hyoudou, As the Holder of Crystalization of my Legend, I'll bestow you the ability to create a magical construct of all the treasures you will encounter, And in exchange you should gather all the treasures of this world so that It'll live up to it's legends." he said as he points his fingers in my forehead.

"I accept" I answered as I feel some changes in my body.

"Your body as of now can be considered as the highest potential a human can have, And in the future when you reach Tier 5, You'll become a demi-god like me". He said.

Tier-5, The level of a Satan Class huh, that sure is far in the future. Still just having the highest potential will atleast reduce the time needed for me to reach Tier 5.

"King of Heroes, If I may ask, where are we right now?" I asked because if Gilgamesh is here, I'm still not dead.

"We're inside your Sacred Gear, your soul, or the Throne of Heroes, whatever you prefer"

"Then I need to go out, or else I will die from the stray!" I said as I panick a little because there's no one there that can fight the stray devil.

"Your body right now was being possess by the saintess that your Sacred Gear have summoned" he said.

"Summoned? and is she the saintess who owns the pendant?" I ask him but he doesn't answered.

"Do not waste my time asking questions, just ask that fallen angel that just arrive later after you woke up" After he said that he started to vanish into golden motes.

"Be sure you don't bore me, Mongrel" That's the last thing I heard before I trully lose consciousness.

(Earlier After Gray lost consciousness and meet Gilgamesh)

As the Stray Devil Attack Gray, Holy Energy Burst from the Pendant.

The Stray can't do anything but to retreat to a distance as the Holy Energy was damaging him.

After the flash of holy energy disappears, the Stray saw the figure of Gray with his body wearing a light armor with a sword on his waist. On his hands was a flag realeasing waves of holy energy. His hair also change to that of striking golden color.

The stray devil felt inate fear to the flag and tried to run away but a single wave of holy energy reach him as he disintegrate to nothing.

"Who are you?" Gray? heard someone call out to him, knowing the identity of that person base on her master's memories she doesn't show any hostility and introduce her self.

"I am Ruler Class Servant, Jeanne D'Arc. I don't have much time but I hope you can take care of Master's body" just as she said, Gray's body drop to the ground as the summoning ended leaving a confuse but shock Fallen Angel.
