The One!!

Tara couldn't see anything around her except darkness as she stood! As her eyes searched for something unknown, few voices echoed startling her!

"Tara!"

She looked here and there recognising her father's voice, "Tara..!" it was her mother now! She kept looking around her like a lost child, until they appeared infront of her from nowhere but darkness! "Mom..." she ran towards them but the distance still seemed to be constant, "Dad!!" she screamed! But no matter how hard she tried she couldn't reach them though they weren't moving and she kept moving!

"You have known all the way ahead!! Why didn't you....save us?" her father asked, no emotion in his voice as he questioned, making her halt at her steps! "Pa..pa...!" her voice struck! But there was silence everywhere as they both stood infront of her and her father kept staring into her eyes!

Not knowing what to do, she tried to reach them again but now she can't, she couldn't even move as if her legs were bound with invisible shackles! She suffered to be free without tearing away her gaze from her parents, and suddenly a high beam of a pair of headlight fell on her, from behind her parents, out of darkness! Her eyes widened, her hand flew out as if stopping them but they stood still and she can still feel her father's eyes on her, "Mah...pah...!" she screamed but just as if her scream awakened the unwanted to happen, the car made it's way, to hit her parents, she closed her eyes tightly, tears streaming down her face! But just silence echoed after the racing tyres sound she witnessed before shutting her eyes tightly not wanting to see something she had already saw which turned her life upside down!

Tara slowly dared to open her eyes, and as she did, she can't see her parents anymore. Before she could process of what had happened, she felt the ground under her feet weird and so she looked down, but soon she swallowed in horror when she found a pool of blood, under her feet, covering all the ground! So much that she could see it even in the darkness and the smell made her head throb, she soon stepped back in horror not realising that she can move all of a sudden now! She raised her head to look around but a gasp escaped her mouth, when she suddenly witnessed few people approaching her in a very terrorizing way alarming her to run away! She recognised them in an instant, the two who were approaching her were the ones who lost their lives in that elevator accident! Their hand now flew, as if wanting to reach her as their steps were reaching them to her, she saw their hands, they were stained with blood while blood was dripping down their forehead, they eyes strangely dark! Without much think she kept stepping back until the moment she fell on the ground staining her white long skirt into pure red, yet she crawled back in horror! They looked like the beasts wanting to hunt and she felt like a prey! Her eyes wandered between them both and suddenly few more things appeared infront of her, her dead dog lay on the floor, in blood, and was almost decayed. She swallowed hard again, feeling difficulty in breath, as she kept crawling back, her hands clasping the ground in blood! She suddenly felt suffocated and soon she could see many people appear out of nowhere whose face were hid in the darkness and what all she could see was they were approaching her the same way both the men did!

She feared to death, 'You could help!' a voice echoed!

'But you're no more of a help!' the same voice threatened, as they now seemed to speed up and she couldn't do anything but crawl back in fear, she flinched back when she saw the shadow like person stepping on her dog's neck effortlessly as if it wasn't even present, just reaching her, when they were almost few inches away, she shut her eyes again shaking her head, "Don't!" she pleaded!

She gave out a cry but rays of light hit her suddenly, encouraging her to open her eyes slowly but still in fear! She looked around, she was in a beach, she felt the sun just up above her head, she soon looked down, she still was on ground, but there was no blood, just sand! She looked ahead confused still afraid and the rising waves of the ocean grabbed her attention, they looked terrifying as well! Rising to an extent where it felt like it was just a step back to just reach and take her deep down into the ocean only to bury her! She sweated as the sound of ocean echoed in her ears with the rising waves and tides, until a voice was heard!

'What appears to be is not what exactly how it appears to be!!' a familiar voice of a female that seemed to be the voice from the sky, made her look up into the clear sunny sky with few passing clouds! She suddenly felt her dress wet and her legs and hands were not in her control anymore! She gasped as she found herself drowning in water now, waves controlling her instead, tides hitting her! She tried to swim but she couldn't, her body constantly drowning and she was in the middle of the ocean, no one to help her out! The water now reached her chin, she kept drowning, trying to move her legs and hands, clasping, but the water flow denied her to do it, her face submerging, with a gasp she raised her head, suffocating for breath as she even swallowed few water now!

It continued until she couldn't keep up with it and finally drowned completely, slowly but surely feeling her last moments, water surrounded everywhere, her eyes closing, her body sinking, deeper and deeper!

"Tara!"

"Tara...!"

She heard a familiar voice again, so gentle, but her eyes closed letting the water choose her end!

Tara shot her eyes open with a gasp as she suffered for breath! Her eyes searching her surroundings for whatever threat she was going to face again and now she could hear her own heartbeat in her ears! She panted while her eyes still wavered until she heard a concerned yet a gentle voice reaching her, bringing her out of her halt! "Tara...!" his hand still rested on her cheek!

Her eyes slowly shifted to his and then back up, realising she was nowhere but in her own room, she swallowed and a sigh escaped! "Are you alright?" he asked making her look back at him! She said nothing while her heart still pumped like there was no tomorrow! His hand now rested on hers, tapping in an assuring way before he helped her sit up, and she let him, while she now gazed into the distance as she remembered everything what she had saw.

His other hand now reached up, tugging her hair behind ear, "It is just a dream!" he said softly, and she stared back at him in silence now his hand cupped her cheek!

'Some secrets are meant to be secrets only until you find the one worth sharing it with!!' the voice of the lady who gave her a reading and also had heard in the dream suddenly echoed in her ears along with her racing heart beat as she looked at him, his eyes fixed on hers!

She stared in silence not knowing the sudden remembrance of it and it felt like, he was the one!!

She shook her head looking away from him, down her hands, on which his was rested, "Not a dream, nightmare!!"

He nodded, "Was it disturbing?"

She looked up, "Suffocating!" she replied!

He nodded again understanding, "I assume you can breath well now!"

She said nothing, yes she did! She felt relieved after what she had dreamt which felt like an experience! His hand stroked her cheek surprising her, and her heart now slowly began to beat in rhythm, and in calm!

"It's normal to have nightmares! Don't let them bother you!" he said while now his hand downed, resting on her hand as he tapped again, "Come out! Have some food!"

She frowned, did he cook again?! "I need to bath!" she said!

"Do you want me to help you?" he mocked!

"I won't mind if you CAN!!" she scoffed as if questioning 'Can you??!', yet her voice was low!

He chuckled, and helped her stand up, and he then gave her the cane, slowly left the grip around her hand and waist, letting her adjust to stand with the stick! When she seemed alright with standing without his support he stepped back, "Is it okay for you?" he asked still sounding doubtful!

She nodded and made her way to the restroom slowly but carefully cause her leg still pained and the dream just benefitted her headache and it throbbed now! Aryan kept following her slowly until she had made her way into the room, and she looked back, he nodded, "Careful.....and don't hesitate to call me if you need any help!!" he said with a wicked smile which wasn't present when he said to be careful!

Tara rolled her eyes, "Just get out!!" she scoffed before shutting the door!

Aryan chuckled and went out giving her some privacy!
