Grief Of Past, Hope Of Light!

Adhrit Waqt Singhania, found himself seated in silence once he ordered Aman to leave!

Everything he read ringing in his head! Tara and Aryan both are going to be back! Tears filled his eyes which didn't dare leave! And suddenly the door flung opened, making him turn to witness his wife standing there, both of them speechless for a moment!

"Is it...true what I heard?" Arya began.

"Is it true?! Will they....be coming for us?!" she slowly encouraged herself to move forward with baby steps until she reached her husband, when he gave her a nod! Still feeling unbelievable, she looked at the screen, trying to read the mail and soon she fell onto the seat beside her husband! A sigh escaping her.

"After years of rejection, they want to meet us!" Adhrit spoke up, his voice raw with revealing emotions!

"Finally!!" Arya sighed before she rested her head on his shoulder, "I am speechless!"

Yes, he was too! After losing his only children, all he had as a family besides his wife were his grandchildren! He still didn't forget the memory and the pain it always has given him when they both rejected him!

He didn't know what made them reconsider the thoughts but he was glad they did!

The couple didn't have much life to live on and all they wished for was to spend their minimum time with their family!

And finally, God seemed to have his blessings on them!

-Mumbai-

Aryan sat back on the bed, worried about the question Tara had asked!

"Do you.....in any case,,,,,,, remember why were you left in orphanage?!"

The question seemingly lingered over him, not taking the name of departure.

Tara barely wanted to disturb him, her hesitation clearly noticed by him when she questioned.

The regained memories only showed himself playing with his grandparents, while his parents watched them, but he knew nothing more than that!

He didn't respond to her in anyway expect the gaze they kept exchanging which might have conveyed his uncertainty about the issue that she suddenly looked away, escaping a "We need to find it as well then! Too much work, I need rest!!" And just with that she left.

He was aware that she didn't want him to keep thinking about it cause the results might not be so pleasing, yet here he was, thinking if he had any piece of memory in him ready to answer his questions!

After an hour or so, he just sighed defeated, he couldn't even remember what happened that time, he only remembered the day he was..... abandoned and the pain it left behind!

Forcing himself to remember or see anything was now the worst option he could choose. He didn't really want to enjoy exacerbating his already sensitive health status. And this time, he wanted to investigate rather searching and gathering his lost memories.

He had only two options, and he knew which to act on!

As he reached her room, his 'a knock' was not responded again, and as usual he found himself opening the door with as less as possible sound. Taking in the look of the seated her on the bed immediately, her body resting leaned against the bed-wall. Her eyes shut while hands held a pillow that effortlessly was pressed against her belly, a smile crept over his face! She wasn't joking when she said 'I need rest!'

As he reached her, Aryan saw her for a moment more before he squatted down, unintentionally placing his hand on the mattress which with a touch showed him some memories of her childhood.

Her stifled weeping, restlessness and helplessness in gathering a sleep, haunting memories, loneliness in the darkness.

Too much for a kid to bear, too much for him to remember his own pain!

And out of all responses, only a sigh gained an escape from him, his hand reluctantly retreating.

Tara still seemed undisturbed almost making him doubt but her resting was something his eyes found as a paradise! While her intense gaze was an exception.

Perhaps true it was that, a hearts' love was an eyes' paradise.

Not wanting to disturb her he just left her alone, while soon after his departure, she had her eyes open wondering why he didn't say anything and remained silent all the time!

She wondered if her question bothered him, why else would he retreat with nothing expressed?!

Tara just reached out of her room, trying to know if he was alright or again trying to do something that would end up paining him!

However all she saw was a heading out Aryan who was now out of the house. Standing up in the balcony, she saw him briefly exchanging a conversation before he left the house!

He, was he going out?! Is that why he had come into her room but left without saying anything?! He might have thought of not disturbing her but here, she was!!

Tara couldn't hold herself back as she rushed out as well.

"He just told to be there for you dear, as no one's at home!" the watchman whom she knew from her childhood and her uncle who always had trusted him on her, responded for her question.

Wonderment still displayed on her face.

*********

Aryan had chose public transport to reach the orphanage he was raised in, feeling like he again was embracing the normalcy of his once life he lived!

Once he was there, his steps hesitated at the entrance gate, until he motivated himself in!

The mother lady was really surprised at his sudden arrival, hugging him instantly.

Aryan was happy, more than any words could describe.

"It was you dear! You denied to go with them!" lady Mary answered his question.

"I still quite couldn't shake off the sight of his disappointed expression, his pain that was evident in his eyes....." the lady sighed.

"Nothing can change what already had happened, Aryan. Let bygones be bygones!!" she offered an encouraging smile.

Aryan couldn't help but return back the smile while the memory he tried to remember still played hide and seek.

The lady suggested him to get back with his grandparents' atleast now which he and Tara were already planning to!

Aryan gave out a smile with hidden meaning when the lady mentioned of a revisit, 'The next time would be with my family!!' he thought!

As he made his way out of the orphanage, while taking a glimpse of everything he once cherished here, he reached the entrance. Shutting the gate off he turned away after taking the view of the building ahead once more, only to witness Tara leaned against the entrance wall, her hands folded, her gaze fixed ahead taking in the look of passing vehicles.

Aryan's face tilted involuntarily as he observed, she followed him?! Everything seemed same about her, the teal midi skirt she wore with a matching top, and a white long silk coat! Except the long striped handbag of white she wore now was new!

"Why are you here?!"

Tara finally looked at him turning, her hands unfolding as she pulled herself up.

"To gather you up, in case if you lose yourself!!"

Aryan watched her in silence before gently embracing her. "You heard it all?!" he asked shutting his eyes.

Tara who didn't yet respond to the hug, nodded, "I did!" her voice almost faint!

"We somehow both have hurt them Aryan!"

They did!!

Tara slowly returned the hug, the hug which suddenly made him gather his memories which he was searching for!

The day when his grandparents came to pick him up, pleading the authorities of orphanage that he wasn't an orphan to be left here! But he.... stubbornly locked himself in the room, seated on the cold floor crying. They kept knocking the door for him and he kept seated in silence while his stifled cryings' echoed in the dark room!

'I wanted to go along with them! But.... I can't!! I wish....' he remembered his younger self struggling to put his thoughts onto the paper, he didn't respond for anyone who came to convince him and a whole month went off by his grandparents coming for him and leaving disappointed.

He remembered, each and every thing!

"Can you now remember why you denied them?!" her sudden question brought him back to present and he pulled himself away from her.

Tara watched him, her gaze searching for something in his and only then did he realise the tears he wept, when her fingers suddenly gently attempted to wipe them away!

"It was a response out of the struggling younger self of mine! Struggling from the newly found ability. Pushing away every presence of humanity!!"

As he completed, she wiped the again flowing tears. The same reason, Tara sighed!

"We should get going!" she suggested.

Aryan stared her for a moment more before offering her a nod of acceptance.

***********

Deep who stood infront of Aarohi's house, stared the building in silence. His hands deeply sinked into his pockets.

So lost in himself he couldn't even realise her approaching from behind!

Aarohi who was returning home couldn't help but stand still staring Deep who stood in silence! Her stare lowered onto the ground, her gaze settling over the bracelet that lay. With a sigh she went ahead, taking the bracelet gently into her hands, and he suddenly turned back as if sensing her presence!

"Why won't you get in?" her precise question made him stay in his shell of silence for a moment more!

As they kept staring, he took a step ahead, his gaze never leaving her, "You are angry!"

His notice which almost was an accusation helped her only to let out a chuckle, "Of course I am!"

"You stubbornly pursued me until the acceptance and now you enjoy the play of me coming after you!"

He stood silent again, realised yet helpless about the situation he was putting her in! Among all of the ones, he was being unfair by being ignorant to her! "Aarohi!" he found himself taking another step reaching her!

"Hush!!" her suddenly raised fingers silenced him before she took his hand, gently helping him put on the bracelet. They kept their gaze down, while Deep processed on how did he end up losing it! It was a precious gift from her! So careless!!

"So careless!!" she remarked with a shook!

Same remark from her as his, he couldn't help but laugh, making her look up.

His laugh was brief, gaze settling into hers', he found her fingers brushing his bracelet while her eyes treasured her movements!

"We might often find back things we lost Deep!" Aarohi with a sigh looked up.

"But it's difficult to find ourselves once we lose each other!!"

Deep's hands found her face, lifting it up slowly as their eyes got locked, "You fear?"

"I have every possible reason to be!!"

Deep smiled, his fingers brushing her cheeks, "I crave for a walk. With you!!"

"I miss it!!" he added.

Aarohi smiled. As they had their hands held together, fingers entwined, they found themselves walking into the park they always were fond of, only to surprisingly find Tara and Aryan seated together on a bench!

Deep and Aarohi both took a glance at how they both were lost in watching the evening sky, and their surroundings with childrens' laughter and play swaying in the breeze!

Aarohi held his hand when he thought of joining them, stopping him, "Let us not disturb them and ourselves!!"

Deep couldn't help but nod at her thought!

However, disturbance seemed to be the unwelcomed guest!!
