Chapter 56: Connla

(Titus's (Ferdiad's) POV)

In the midst of a pale concrete field, I stood alone with my eyes closed. In the next second, three figures materialized in the air, wielding a wide variety of weapons.

BOOM!

The explosion reverberated as their weapons clashed against my divine spear, Gungnir.

Cling!

I skillfully parried their attacks, pushing them away. In the blink of an eye, I swung the spear. Though it seemed like my weapons wouldn't reach them, my spear bent and extended itself like a whip in the next second. The three dark figures were effortlessly sliced in half, dissipating into nothingness.

PHEW!

I tilted my head as an arrow narrowly passed a few millimeters away from my face. Swiftly, I raised my spear and hurled it toward the arrow's origin. With an explosive impact, I sensed my enemy's defeat. I raised my arm, and the spear returned to my hand, infused with a hint of Bifrost energy.

Opening my eyes, I gazed at my spear with a sigh.

"This was getting nowhere."

Having attained level 60 and honed every conceivable skill in the past six and a half years, my expertise spans combat, magecraft, and even the subtleties of smithing. I had imbued Gungnir with the ability to bend and return, same to the legendary GOW spear.

However, crafting magical weapons had proved more challenging than I had anticipated. Besides, it hadn't been my forte. I had decided to leave the forging of my weapons to someone like Hephaestus in the future. For now, this Gungnir would suffice.

I placed the spear in my Inventory and vanished from the planes. In the next moment, I materialized in a room where I found Scathach engrossed in drawing some kind of comic.

"Oh hey, dear. Welcome back," Scathach turned around and greeted me.

I nodded and slipped onto her lap with a goofy smile, "Hehe, shishou's legs are just the best."

Now, guys, I wasn't being a pervert or a degenerate or anything. There were actually a number of benefits to Scathach's legs. First off, lying down, you could catch a glimpse of her underboob, which calms your muscles but excites your neurons. Plus, although one could argue, her legs were the perfect combination of fats and muscles, providing a good relaxing medium for your neck muscles. There are also other benefits, but I'll spare them for later.

"Sigh~! You are so hopeless," Scathach smiled while caressing my head. She then resumed her drawing while I rested for a bit.

I wanted to explore her body, but I opted to control my desires. After all, she had endured my intense sexual appetite for a year and a half.

Yes, folks, I had come to realize the limits of my sex frenzy. I could engage in intimate activities with a woman for a continuous 18 months without a decline in stamina or interest. I had become a formidable force, a potential nightmare for any woman.

Even though I had the opportunity to bang Scathach whenever I pleased, the urges weren't as strong as before. I had made a mental note to never lose control of myself in the future.

"Shishou, do you wish to train another boy?" I inquired.

"You mean, Connla? Is it time?" Scathach caught my implication.

In the legends, Connla, Cu Chulainn's son, ventured to the Land of Shadows, training under her before challenging his father and meeting his demise by Cu Chulainn's spear. I wasn't certain of Connla's precise age when he would confront Cu, estimating he might be around 10 to 11 years old.

Although I desired to let history unfold naturally, my involvement had inadvertently fortified Cu Chulainn. He had grown so formidable that he would likely defeat Connla without a second thought.

Hence, I contemplated training Connla early, hoping he'd stand a chance against his father.

"Sure, but... are you certain?" Scathach questioned.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean... I am your wife now too," Scathach smirked.

"...On second thought, I can train him as well," I conceded as I rose. "And it's not because I'm jealous or anything."

"You're totally jealous," Scathach teased, containing her grin.

"No - okay, maybe a little, but it's not like that..."

I feared I might kill Connla if he showed any affection for Scathach or directed inappropriate gazes her way. After all, his father was a pervert, and I didn't anticipate the son being any different.

Moreover, I simply wanted Scathach to relish her new life instead of engaging in the rigors of training disciples again. While I might offer pointers to Connla through Scathach, I aimed to keep her involvement minimal.

"Thank you, Titus," Scathach expressed, standing up to bid me farewell. "Don't spend all the time there, okay?"

"But of course, how could I forget such a banger wife of mine?" I chuckled.

Afterward, I kissed Scathach before vanishing from the room. In the blink of an eye, I found myself in an open field where a woman was instructing a group of soldiers... in dance?

Aoife soon noticed me and approached with a composed demeanor.

"What the hell are you teaching them?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, that's a torture dance. It's effective against enemies, serves as a distraction. Sister taught me," Aoife replied.

I covered my face with my palm and sighed. This was getting embarrassing. Initially, it hadn't bothered me, but now I worried if these Celtic sisters might actually bring Jojo back to reality.

"Let's go somewhere quieter," Aoife suggested, leading me to the meeting room.

Once alone, Aoife leaped and embraced me. "Big brother~! I missed you so much~!" she exclaimed, resting her head against my chest.

She had developed feelings for me over the past few years. Initially, she had tried to win me over since I was probably the best man around her, but after some good ol' lessons, she abandoned the idea, and instead, we fostered a bond akin to that of siblings.

The age gap between us was substantial; she could be my great-grandmother. But, you know... women.

Besides, she wasn't my type.

"Where were you for the last one and a half years?" she asked, to which I simply smiled. I couldn't possibly explain that I had been consumed by animalistic instincts, preoccupied with tossing Scathach around.

After a while, she released me and extended an invitation for tea, but I declined. Instead, I inquired about Connla.

"Why are you asking me about him?" she inquired.

"It's time."

"You mean to fight the great pillar men?"

"No, none of that!" I responded, then sighed. "I will be going to train him. It's 'that' time."

At those words, Aoife's expression turned solemn.

"Big brother, can you really bring back Cu?" Aoife asked with anticipation.

"Yes. As I promised my friend, I will ensure he lives long. Don't worry about anything," I reassured my sister-in-law.

Aoife nodded and summoned her son. Soon, a boy of about 6 years old arrived in the hall. He sported dark blue hair and red eyes akin to Cu Chulainn's. Despite being only six, he possessed a sturdy physique.

"Oh, uncle~!" Connla's eyes brightened with excitement, but then he coughed and respectfully bowed his head. "Welcome, Sir Ferdiad."

"Oh my, you've taught him good manners," I remarked, arching an eyebrow.

"It's expected, as he is the prince of this kingdom," Aoife boasted proudly.

I was tempted to point out that neither she nor Connla would likely lead any country, but I chose to let fate take its course.

"Well, let's see how strong he is," I said, gesturing to Connla. "You there. Hit me as hard as you can."

"Are you sure, Uncle Ferdiad? I'm quite strong, you know," Connla smirked. Indeed, he seemed leagues above his peers. His strength alone could probably overpower adults. However, there was more to the world than brute strength.

"If you aren't going to, then I will hit you."

"Alright, alright! Don't cry if you get hurt," Connla said, showing concern for me. I was relieved he wasn't as reckless as his father.

With determination, Connla charged and delivered a fierce punch to my belly. The impact punctured the air with force. If a regular person took such a blow, they wouldn't recover easily. However, I currently held the title of the strongest person on the island.

"ITTA!!" Connla cried out, clutching his numb hand as if he had hit a steel wall.

"Well, it's clear you're quite strong," I remarked, smiling as I took Connla's hand and applied a healing spell. Connla wiped his teary eyes and nodded.

"Aoife, I'll be taking him with me," I stated to Connla's mother.

"Thank you, big brother. Please train him rigorously. Show no mercy," Aoife added with a slight bow.

Thankfully, she hadn't turned out like Chichi or something; otherwise, convincing her might have been challenging.

I teleported Connla and myself to a plain ground near Aoife's castle.

"Uncle Ferdiad, can I ask—"

"No, I'm not your father. Our hair colors don't even match, for God's sake," I cut him off. Every time we met, he would ask the same question. Either that or if I was interested in his mother. I couldn't blame him; the poor boy had never seen his father.

"No, I'm asking if you're also going to teach weird poses like my mother teaches her people."

"She did what?!" I exclaimed, but then massaged my temples. "We're not learning any poses. On the contrary, never make those poses again."

"Oh, that's good," Connla sighed.

"As for what we'll be doing, I'm going to train you to become strong so you can bring your father back. Let's call it operation 'Bringing back father from the milk shop'," I explained.

"Meaning I'll get to meet my father?!" Connla's eyes gleamed with excitement, and I nodded. He tried to say something else, "So, what will I be learning—"

"Dodge!!" I roared and kicked Connla with all my might. The poor boy flew a few meters before crashing into a boulder.

"Now I see why Piccolo enjoyed training Gohan so much," I chuckled. "This is going to be interesting."

===

I really wanted to write a chapter MC training Connla but I decided against it. It would be just a filler chapter so I didnt feel like investing in this character.
