Hong Liu woke up in a completely white room, she frowned at her surrounding she doesn't like white at all when it's excessive its give her feels that someone is in permanent mourning and this place there was no spot of colour everything from the bed to the curtains, from floor to ceiling everything was white and how did she come in such a strange place, she slides off the bed looking around, frowning trying to remember what happened last, did she fall from the tree or drink too much peach wine, maybe she in some bizarre dream? Or someone is playing a trick on her at last thought she narrowed her eyes. 'why can't I remember anything?' she hit her head softly with her fist. It took her some time but then it started to hit her, 'Oh Supreme Lord! I have suffered a Heavenly Retribution,' she squeezes her eyes shut at that hit her head this time hard.
She didn't know it would be this severe that she would faint from her injuries, she must be still in Nine Heavens. With a sigh in, she exits those white strange Chambers as she walks on the Hallways of the palace, she met more white but the scenery changes a little bit a she turns she could see a little gold here and there, a curving on marble or some light colour painting hanging on the wall but the vases were empty. Wandering and taking in her surrounding with her curious big eyes she reached the outer courtyard but nobody was there nor she can see an exit or door and on her way she didn't even find anyone. Where is she? whose palace is this? and who healed her? Healing her from this kind of injury was not easy, it would have taken a very experience medicine king to do that and beside Ren, she knows no one like that. Her hand touch a railing as she looks at the open blue sky, beneath the railing was a pond filled with white lotus, Seeing the colourless surrounding something piercing in her chest.
'This place needs colour,' She thought.
"You are awake," A cold voice stated, making her turn to look and she saw the most unexpected person.
"First Lord?"
There was no expression on his face as he looks at her, Hong Liu, on the other hand, was surprised and her heart was racing, heat rise on her cheeks. 'Did he bring me in and healed me? He doesn't think much about me anyway,' She was so embarrassed.
"Bai Hong Liu greets First Lord," She bowed in greeting and he didn't reply, he started to turn but then stopped and look at her.
"You are healed and well its better you leave for Green Forest immediately," He said.
His request startled her, and a certain warmth that spread inside her when she saw him was drained away leaving her cold. She blinked at him puzzled, he was not exactly nice in their first encounter but he was not cold either. Now she thought she imagine his teasing last time maybe it was a taunt but Hong Liu has a very thick skin and why does it matter what he thinks anyway?
He walked inside his lounging area and Hong Liu followed him with firm steps.
"Did you heal me?" She asked.
He nodded as he sat on the divan, resting his elbow on the armrest and materialize a scroll, reading sutras. His silence and complete avoidance to look at her made her insides twist, her toes curl against the hard cold marble seeking warmth that wasn't there, to begin with, and her heart lurches in nervous beats, so she looks down to avoid looking at his handsome face.
"Your Lordship had done me a great favour, again if there is anything you might need from I will do it to pay back your kindness, " She said in a low voice, her hands fisted in her robes.
"No needed, " He said without looking at her.
"I have to pay you back somehow, "She protest, pouting a little but not looking down.
Dong Hai raise his eyes slowly to her head bowed figure, her red robe trail was spread on his floor and her chin was almost touching her chest. Her raven hairs were open, spread on her shoulder and some in front.
"I saved you twice because I have to, don't think much into it. You have been asleep for ten days, it is ill-advice for you to stay here any longer, "
Her head shot up in shock.
"What ten days?!"
