Chapter 7 - Reunion

"She is asleep, you can stand up now," the man said as he set down the book in his hand.

The orc, who was supposed to be dead, rose up and rubbed his head, "Was it so necessary that I cut myself to prove that I'm dead?" he asked angrily as he tied his cloth around his arm.

"I'm sorry, Gobar, but you know I like gaining their trust first," Lorzark said with a harmless smile. Waving his hand, he motioned for Gobar to go, "By the time you come back, she will be nothing more than an obedient little girl."

"Hahahahaha, I trust you, Lorzark. You have never failed me," Gobar laughed hideously as he opened the door and walked away.

Isabelle opened her eyes and yawned tiredly. She had slept for four hours under the effect of the soothing bath. Walking out of the bath, she changed into new clothes. The moment the cloth touched her body, it contracted to her size. The tight-fitting cloth was uncomfortable for her, but after walking a few steps, she got used to it.

Walking out of the room, Lorzark was nowhere to be found, only a cup of warm coffee was left in his place. The coffee was a strange one that Isabelle had never seen on Earth before; just the smell of it was a thousand times better than that of Earth.

*Grrrr*

Isabelle's stomach rumbled at the sight of the alluring coffee. With everything going on, she couldn't remember the last time she ate or drank something. Picking the cup up, she took the coffee in one gulp. "Ahh, so satisfying. People would go crazy on Earth if a company made one of these."

Placing the coffee down, she looked towards the door and closed her eyes for a minute. She thought back to the man's nice and calm aura and decided to wait for him. If the man meant her harm, then he would have already killed her a long time ago. She sat on the comforting couch and waited.

Not five minutes had passed before she started feeling hot; it was as if her body was on fire. "S-Something is wrong." Her voice was weak as she struggled to stand up. Mustering all the strength in her body, she stood up, but Lorzark's large hand pressed down on her shoulder.

"You are leaving already? Come on, where's the fun in that," Lorzark said as he sat down and hung his hand around her neck. The already weak Isabelle could do nothing but watch in agony as Lorzark caressed her hair.

"Stop what you're doing now; I have friends outside. They'll kill you if they find out about me," she said through gritted teeth.

"Hahahaha, you are really interesting," Lorzark said as his expression turned fierce. He caught Isabelle's jaw and spoke directly to her face. "One thing you should know is that no one is going to save you here, not even your frie...."

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang*

"It's me, Gobar, open up."

"Gobar, you bastard. I told you not to come back until I call you," Lorzark shouted angrily as he walked towards the door. He opened the little space and checked outside. Standing outside, Gobar held a chain tied around a young girl in his hand, a very beautiful and curvaceous young lady. "Hehehehe, another catch." Closing the small gap, he opened the door for Gobar with open arms.

*Slice*

Right before his eyes, Gobar's head was sliced off from behind.

*Thud*

Gobar's body fell limply to the ground. The sound was like a bomb to Lorzark's ear; swiftly, he tried to close the door, but it was too late. Heidi's kick was only a few centimeters away from his head.

*Bang*

Lorzark's whole head rang from the impact, and his nose bled a dark greenish blood.

"Just like the orcs, you also have dark blood... Oh, Isabelle, there you are." Heidi and the others stormed in. After escaping her pursuit, or rather helped. It wasn't so difficult finding the rest; he just had to threaten the orc or cut off their limbs one by one until they gave the location of her others.

Phil grabbed Lorzark's shirt as he dragged him up angrily, "What were you planning to do with her, you bastard!!!!" *Blow* *Blow* *Blow* Phil kept punching Lorzark's face until he had no teeth left in his mouth. He dropped his limp body and cleaned the blood off his hand.

Isabelle, whose head was just beginning to clear up, glared at Phil angrily and spat disgustingly, "Even if you kill him, it won't change a thing. I hate you, and I'll forever hate you for abandoning. I hated you before and I hate you even more."

Phil scratched his head awkwardly as he quickly changed the topic, "So who has any idea of who captured Zaid?"

Moris standing at the furthest back looked into the night sky, the three moons orbiting the planet reflected in his eyes, "He's dead, Phil. He was sucked outside of the wormhole... The wormhole was extremely unstable, and it collapsed the moment it sucked us in."

"N-No, there must be a way he could have survived, right?" Heidi shockingly glared at Moris and Isabelle for help, but the expression on their faces struck her dead.

"I'm afraid there is no way he could have survived something that unstable; the gravity will tear him apart the moment he was outside of the wormhole."

"The most important thing is that we are a group once again," Eloise spoke carefreely as she leaned on the wall with her arms folded. She wasn't close with Zaid, and they had only spoken twice, so she wasn't affected by his loss.
