You leaned against the brick wall, stifling your groans. You fumbled with your phone, you pressed speed dial two. "Hey." Jay's voice rumbled through the speaker. "What time is it?" He asked. "Almost two am." You managed to mutter out. "Seriously! What could possibly be so important at two in the morning?"
"I got attacked and stabbed." Jay drew in a sharp breath. "Where are you?" You gave your location. A few moments later, Jay pulled up with Voight in the driver's seat. Jay jumped out and helped you into the car. The ride to Med was short but slightly bumpy due to the way Voight was speeding down the Chicago streets. When you got to Med, Voight pressed the horn several times. Will and Connor ran out with a gurney and Maggie followed. Voight shouted information while Jay helped you onto the gurney. You were beginning to fade in and out. "Hey, is that blood?" Will asked you teasingly. "No?"
"That's not a question you're supposed to answer with another question." Will told you as he administered pain relief. You gave a small smile and Jay noticed the tender look his brother gave you. You were rushed into surgery, Will hung around Med picking at his hoodie. After a few hours of hearing nothing, Jay entered the room holding two coffees and some food. "Here." He handed his brother his coffee and bag of food. "Kim dropped it off." Jay looked over his brother's tense figure. "You like her." Will nodded. "You should tell her." Will shook his head, "I don't know." Jay sighed, "Don't tell her I told you this, but, uh...she likes you. She really likes you. You should tell her how you feel, man. You don't want to have regrets. I didn't when I told Lindsay, I mean yeah, look how it turned out, but I don't regret it. I have great memories with her and I don't regret telling her how I feel. You should tell her." Will sighed. "She feels the same way, Will. You don't have to tell her, but you should." Will sighed and Connor entered the room, the brothers looked up. "She's going to be fine, the stab wound missed everything important. She did lose a lot of blood, so she is going to have to stay here for a few days. She's asking for both of you." Jay sighed in relief, Will's shoulders sagged in relief. They both got up, Jay smiled and clapped Rhodes' shoulder. Will thanked his friend and shook his hand. The pair followed Rhodes towards your room. "Hey..." You smiled tiredly at the Halstead boys. They smiled back at you. Jay clapped a hand on your shoulder carefully, "You had us worried there."
"Sorry for the late-night call." Jay shrugged, "Don't worry about it. I'm going to go call the team." Jay left with a pointed look towards his brother. Will moved towards the side of your bed. "I'm sorry for worrying you." Will huffed, then he leaned down and kissed you. "I didn't know how to tell you that I like you, so I thought this might be the best way to tell you." You smiled, "That was definitely the best way to tell me how you felt."
