Family of the Sunflower

Ever since Alektrona watched a movie about faeries, she always believed in supernaturals. When people told her there are no such things as supernatural, she always replied, "If there are no such things as supernaturals, where did the myths and legends come from? Imagination? Hallucination? I don't know! But I would love to know and meet one," She says it with a bright smile but, once she meets their confused gaze, she looks back at them with the same confusion as them. "I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who believes in spirits and faeries... right...? " And look at them expectation in her eyes. Her answer makes others fall speechless apart from her grandmother, who loves Greek mythology. Although Alek believes in the existence of supernaturals, she's never encountered one. God knows how many books she's read about Supernaturals. Alek talked to everything she sees and asks them, "When will you guys finally show up to me and start a conversation? I wouldn't tell anybody! I just want to meet you guys so that I couldn't die happily. So I'll be here, waiting for you guys to show up and talk to me." *********** Alek sneakily entered the room and was greeted by a boy facing toward the window opposite the door that she just entered. She thought he was Kai. She prepared to scare him. But before she tried to do anything, he snapped his neck to where she was standing. She was caught off guard. But what she saw next was enough for her brain to stop functioning. "What the..." Alek could not continue. The boy looked like her dead brother, Aether. *********** "They are not friendly, especially the Shiwasu." Astraea told her niece. "If you can't prove that you are able to replace her, then we are all doomed." Everyone was listening to her with serious faces, even the youngest looked like she knew that would be the end. "I will prove it." Alek spoke with determination in her eyes. ------------------ This is the story about shape-shifters and some parts are written in Japanese in roman alphabet as this book contains a little bit of Japanese culture and tradition. Busted

"Kingggg???" Celeste glared at his king through his thin eyes formed by sarcastic eyes.

"I swear, I would attend the meeting! Let me escape reality for now!" Irving clung onto the tiny fae with pleading eyes. Celeste sighed before allowing his king to see off the visitors.

"Yesss!" The king of Sibhruion id a fist pump before following after his friends. He wanted to go as slow as possible so that maybe, just maybe, the meeting would be shorter.

"Again, if you want our help, you can always call us or visit us." Terance told the three shapeshifters once they were all outside of the castle.

"Thank you. We will." Rin replied to him.

"Great." Queen Paleine smiled before holding each one of them before disappearing in thin air.

Tinka hugged the three of them before she, too, with her husband disappeared like the queen. Terance nodded before bowing like a gentleman before becoming dust like everyone else.

"Wow. Are we going back like that?" Alek asked Irving and Celeste behind her in the castle. They had merely taken a step out when Terance and others decided to leave.

"No. They can go back to their realm like that because they are connected here. But for you to go back, you have to take the route you took to come here." Just as Irving was done talking, someone walked into the scene.

"Uncle!"

"Jin!" It was Pari and Lee, but this didn't surprise them. It was the fact that Pari was in her human form. Her hair was dark navy blue tied up as a bun with her eyes the same. She was wearing a yellow cocktail dress with long see-through sleeves. The clothing had small pink flowers printed on it that matched her cute appearance. She was wearing black wedges and showed off her elegance. She looked like a college girl.

Lee jumped off from Pari's arms and ran to his brother. He had fun with his friend and was no longer mad at her.

"Buddy!" Jin picked up the boy the moment they were close enough.

"Are you done with the meeting, uncle?" Pari asked once she was next to Irving.

"He is but another meeting is on its way, miss." Celeste answered when Irving realised that he had to attend another meeting and went gloomy.

"Thank you, Celeste." Pari smiled. "Let me send them off." With that, she walked to the four and grabbed their hands. They knew what was going to happen this time and wasn't scared anymore.

"Thank you, Irving, Celeste." Jin smiled at them and, Irving waved his hands before they were gone from their sight.

"You are always welcome." They heard his voice as they were engulfed by the water hall and were brought back to the woods in Nagatsuki.

"I thought we need to get out from the compound to do your thing." Alek spoke as she was looking at the trees around her.

"I can bleach you pretty much wherever I want to in that realm but..." Pari blushed and looked down.

"But?"

"...I kind of wanted to show off my home... Sorry for making you guys walk for long."

Alek began giggling when she heard that. She knew how it felt. She wanted to show off her grandmother's house to her friends, not to boast them but to just be like this is where my grandmother lives! Look at this f*cking gorgeous house! Look at this!

"I'm sorry!" Pari bowed and, Alek stopped laughing immediately.

"Don't apologise! It was breathtaking and, the walk was definitely worth it." Alek still had a smile on her face.

"Really?" Pari looked anxious.

"Really." Jin chimed in and, Rin and Lee nodded to his statement. "It is something that I'm never going to forget. It was the most beautiful castle I've ever seen."

"Fact." Alek nodded to it.

"Thank you." The fae smiled at them.

"No, we should thank you. If you didn't ask your uncle about meeting us, then we wouldn't have been able to know more about them or met any of the kings and queens." Pollux told her.

"You shouldn't say that, sir. I am grateful that you are even talking with me."

"Don't call us sir or miss, Pari. You are older than us by centuries. We should be the ones to call you miss." Rin continued.

"No, no, no. I don't deserve it. You should just stick with Pari as I am comfortable with it."

"Then you should call us by our names as we are comfortable with it." Pari puffed into her original form when she heard Rin. She didn't expect that.

"Yes, sir. I mean, Rin..."

"Better." He smiled back.

"Let's go back. I just received a call from Kai that Iris is about to come and pick us up if we don't go back in ten minutes." Alek told her cousins, merman and the fae and, they all nodded.

"I will drop off Lee. You guys can go first." Jin spoke and was about to run off when his tin stopped him.

"You dumb? We need Lee to get to the other hill."

"Oh yeah." Jin stopped in his tracks.

"Lee, give us your scale." Pari asked her friend and, he did as he was asked. "Take this. I will drop Lee while you go back to the head's house." She handed the scale to Alek before pulling Lee out of Jin's arms and flying at the speed of the race car, holding Lee by his collar like a mother cat.

"Bye." Alek waved her hands in awe as she looked at where Pari and Lee disappeared. She or the twins didn't know Pari had that kind of strength in her tiny body. She must be stronger than an average man to carry a boy with her hand like he was a porch.

"Let's go!" When Alek looked back, she saw her cousins running with their supernatural speed to the hill.

"Okay." Alek spoke and began running. She let Kiryuu take over and, the transition was smoothly done. It was the most smooth transition Alek had ever done. Even the twins who saw this whistled and smiled with pride.

"CASTOR! POLL-"

"We are here!" The twins reached the end of the stairs and told their sister. They were panting heavily as they came in a record time. Iris didn't act like this and, she was dangerous if she did.

"What the heck is that?!" Iris had a sharp sight and saw tattoos on her brothers' wrists when they waved at her.

"Let us explain... when we are... there..." Rin was still panting as he and others climbed the stairs.

"I'm waiting." She crossed her arms over her chest.

"We met some people who became friends and, this is like a symbol of friendship." Rin explained it very mildly and, his sister wasn't buying it.

"Mmmhmm. Have you got one, Nana?"

"You know, Iris? Nana has to go. Bia is calling me." Alek escaped from her cousin's wrath and ran into the house. Her sister was never calling her and, she knew that Iris could see through her lie as she never saw her eyes shift.

As Iris was distracted by Alek, the two brothers took the moment to escape from his sister using the back door of the house.

"Casto-" Iris found no one standing in front of her and turned to look at the back of the house. She sighed as she entered the house slowly.

"You are back." Bia didn't even need to check who entered the room without knocking.

"I am." Alek closed the door behind her and went to the bathroom. "I'm going to take a bath."

"I thought you did before you went out again this afternoon." Bia lay comfortably on her bed and closed her eyes to concentrate on the music she had been listening to for the last hour.

"I only took a brief shower. I didn't wash my hair." Her sister's voice was muffled and could assume that she was removing her clothes. She was right. Soon after, she heard the water running. About twenty minutes later, the water stopped running and the door of the bathroom opened.

"What are you hiding?" Bia had removed her headphones and was just reading a book when she saw her sister holding onto the towel tightly around her chest more than usual. She usually just wrapped herself up and did not hold the towel, but

today, she was holding it very suspiciously. As evidence, Alek even tensed when she heard Bia.

"Wh-what are you talking about?" Alek averted her eyes from her sister and went to her bed to pick some clothes. Not knowing that her ears were turning red not because of the hotness from the shower but from the lie.

"You really think you can keep a secret, huh? That's funny."

"I'm not hiding anything." She found her clothes and rushed back to the bathroom to ear them.

"It's written all over your face that you are hiding something from me." Bia spoke and crept to the door that Alek didn't fully close.

Through the space, she could see that her sister was already wearing pants and a bra.

"What the f*ck?!" Bia busted the door open when she saw a tattoo like a thing on the centre of her sister's chest.

"Arghhhhh!!" Alek screamed as she felt her sister touching her with her cold hands. She didn't know her sister was peeking. She quickly hid her body with the to she was holding.

"What the f*ck is on your chest?!" Bia yanked Alek's arms away from her upper body and pointed at the pink tattoo in the middle of her cleavage.
