Chapter FORTY-FIVE

  Theo’s pov

I was busy stressing on how to introduce Aleia to my friends, I didn’t know what her reaction would be, and I knew what their reaction would be and that’s why I was worried. She already said she wasn’t coming. Well, not in actual words but she brushed off the idea of meeting my friends.

Which now that I realized, I didn’t ask her to meet my friends. I mentioned that I was going to meet my friends, and she didn’t offer to come with. Maybe it’s too soon to do that, just like asking her to abandon her work to stay home with me. It made me feel how jobless I was and how I was glad she didn’t accept that useless offer.

I didn’t want to chase her away by overwhelming her, she was like an eel, ready to slip away when she isn’t comfortable, she already did that this morning, not finishing her breakfast. I was kind of hurt because she ran like I was choking her and not the good kind of choking.
