Chapter 71: Slapped.

It had been two days after the meeting the two families had. That evening , David sat down with Alyssa to talk.

" Alyssa , I want you to have a break from work. " David said to her.

" Why sir , Did I do anything wrong ? " Alyssa asked David.

" No , Remember Calcel will be engaged within this week. I want you to spend most of the time with May while you help her organize the party. " David requested.

" Fine sir. I will do that. " Alyssa couldn't refuse his request.

" And in addition to that , I heard that there's a new movie prepared by EE Entertainment and they are looking for actresses. " David said.

Alyssa smiled solemnly and said. " Herman told me that already. "

" I want you to go back in acting. " David declared.

Alyssa wondered if she was hearing this right.

" Sir , Are you meaning that I can act again ? " She asked.

" Yes ! " David spoke.

" Oh God ! I don't know how to thank you. " Alyssa said feeling happy than ever before.

" It's fine. But you will only go back after Calcel's wedding day. " David said .

" Sir , You can't believe how long I have been waiting for this. I really can't believe that you have allowed me to work again. " Alyssa cried tears of joy.

" I was actually wrong to stop you. I remembered that one of the reasons why you married me was to keep your career but see how I almost made you lose it because of my stupid suspects that you were dating your manager. " David narrated.

" Don't blame yourself sir. It was my mistake and I deserved the punishment. I am even lucky that you gave me the chance to work in Wong Costmetics and at least I've gained some skills from there. " Alyssa said.

." Really ? "

" Yes sir. Thanks for everything. " Alyssa thanked him again.

" It's 50 50 . I should also thank you for accepting to be my wife. " David said.

" I...." Alyssa was adding on when someone interupted.

" Good evening Father. " Calcel had just returned and he sat on the sofa to join the two.

" Did I interrupt both of you. " Calcel asked.

" Not at all. I was just talking to Alyssa. " David said.

" Clere and Mother will be here tomorrow . " Calcel said.

" Did you talk to them ? " David asked.

" I called my mother and she told me so. " Calcel said.

" That's good. I will send some one to pick Clere from the airport. " David said.

" Why don't we let Mom bring her with her here ? " Calcel asked.

Alyssa was still sitted there listening. " Ms Alyssa , Please excuse us. " David requested.

" huh...good time. " Alyssa said and left the two.

" How dare you talk about your mother in Alyssa's presence ? " David yelled.

" Is it bad for someone to talk about their mother ? " Calcel asked.

" But you shouldn't show it to Alyssa. Remember she's my wife , How does she feel hearing that her co wife will be here ? " David asked.

" Father , You amuse me. " Calcel commented.

" What have you just said ? " David slurred.

" Tell me Father , Do you like Alyssa already ? " Calcel asked. He has wanted to ask this question sometime ago.

" Isn't it obvious ? " David asked.

Calcel chuckled and got up. " I knew it , I knew that one day you will fall in love with that bitch. " Calcel yelled at David when David immediately got up from the sofa and slapped Calcel.

Calcel was astonished. Ever since childhood David had never slapped him. He touched his red cheek in disbelief.

" Father , Did you just slap me ? " Calcel yelled again in anger burning in his eyes .

" How dare you call Alyssa a bitch ? " David was more angry than before.

" Is that why I just got slapped ? " Calcel wondered.

" You even needed to be beaten ! " David yelled.

Calcel gritted his teeth and chuckled.

" What does Alyssa have that my Mother didn't have ? " Calcel asked.

" Alyssa is very different from your mother. She's kind and trustworthy. " David said.

" Do you trust her that much ? " Calcel asked with a chuckle almost laughing at his father's words.

" I do trust her. Than you can't imagine. " David said. He was still standing and looking at Calcel angrily.

" Okay ! " Calcel said and left David in whammy.

David sat back down in the sofa . He couldn't believe that he had also just slapped Calcel. He had never been angry with him like this before.
