Nova didn't hear Roan closing the distance between them, gasping softly when she looked up again and stared right into his dark gray eyes.
She didn't remember how they got into the car, her gaze straying over to the driver's side where Roan was seated. It was dark out so she could only properly see him when they went past fluorescent lights which lit up the interior of the car momentarily.
Nova couldn't tell if Roan was still upset with her or if he had ever been, she couldn't tell from his impassive expression. She fiddled with her fingers as the car smoothly sped down the road, nervous to break the tense silence between them.
"R-Roan?" She blurted out, relieved when he briefly glanced at her, maybe he wasn't upset at all and he really had something he needed to deal with.
