Alexander's POV

I huffed in annoyance, remembering the events of the previous night. Of all things I expected from Maxine I most definitely didn't expect that she would actually drug me. 

"I can't believe she drugged me," I plopped down on the couch in annoyance, thinking of a thousand million ways to get back at Maxine but first I'd have to figure out where the little witch is hiding that even dad can't reach her.

"Are you going to keep sulking or go to work?" Emily watched me, looking bored and I frowned, glancing at the time one more time.

"It's already 3 pm. What exactly would I do today if I go to work? I already spent a major part of my day sleeping already," I replied.

"I came home to wake you up because you have a lot of things on your schedule today which I believe are important," she pushed, refusing to drop the issue. 

"Well I guess I'll just cancel everything," I replied.
