"Miss Serena is here.", the housekeeper announced with a flourish and Serena had to suppress her surprise. Miss Serena? What happened to 'useless girl'? This much respect might give her indigestion...And then she stopped short.
She glanced around the round table, trying not to laugh at how absurd it all felt. It was her first time meeting this group of so-called family members. At the head sat the Evil Queen(her dear grandmother who had summoned her here). On her right was the Evil Aunt, who seemed to have perfected a scowl and had been the one to bless her with the epithet-'useless girl'. Next to her was, of course, the Evil Cousin, who looked like she was plotting world domination—or at least, Serena's humiliation. Ava was good at humiliating people, after all.
