Decision

On reaching the mansion, Elora and Drake went straight towards their room silently. Nile went running to his room after asking Mia to bring a bucket of water to his room, he wanted to try his new skill (ice manipulation).

He started experimenting with his new skill as soon as Mia brought her the water bucket.

'Let's try this ability' he thought and moved to the corner of the room and he tried freezing the water present in the bucket, but it was not successful. 'nah, even the temperature has not gone down of the water, I have to get close to the bucket.' he thought while checking the temperature of water.

He then stepped some meters away and tried. This time the temperate had gone down by some degree-celsius -'Well some success is better than no success, I could use this skill to adjust my bathwater.' Nile thought while chuckling.

Then he stood next to the bucket, but without making any contact with the water. After just a few seconds of using his skill, a thin layer of ice could be seen over the water.-'Not bad, now let's try using this skill while making direct contact with water.'

As soon as he touched the water and used his skill, the water in the bucket started to freeze, and just in a few seconds, it was completely frozen.

"Now , this is what I was looking forward to" Nile was very well satisfied by the outcome.

In the next few hours, he tried making different objects with the ice but the main problem was he had to continuously infuse his energy to maintain the shape of the weapon, and due to this reason he had to cultivate a couple of times to restore his energy.

'Well this was to be expected, I am just a Human-1 cultivator. Now it is time to take a step forward.'

He then made a feet-long icicle and infused energy in that icicle, once there was enough energy the icicle shot itself hitting the wall and shattering.

'That speed was good, but it depleted most of my energy. I have to reach higher cultivation stages if I want to fight without worrying about energy much.' Nile thought and continued with his experiments.

In another room in the mansion-

"What do we do Drake, I did not expect him to become a cultivator so soon. He even has a penta nature, we cannot let the world know about him. You remember how the heir of Crowrage family was assassinated when he declined the offer of recruitment, he was a tri-nature, now think how desperate everyone would get once they know about a penta nature. I cannot let that happ..en , I cannot" Elora's eyes showed how fearful she was.

"I know Elora, and this is the reason I have made a decision. I want you to think rationally about it." Drake took a deep breath and continued "We cannot hide his cultivation level. Even if we give him an item it could only hide it from 2 ranks above. As for his nature, only Lord and King rank cultivators can see through it but I am afraid about the former, as there is just 1 Lord rank in Ablon curren-."

"Get straight to your suggestion" Elora said cutting him mid-sentence in an impatient tone.

"I want Nile to live in the wild-forest for the -"

"ARE YOU MAD, SENDING OUR KID TO LIVE IN A FOREST?" Elora said shouting her lungs out.

"Elora, Darren will guard him there, I already talked about the matter with Darren and he accepted. Nile can easily stay hidden there and even grow stronger. I know it is dangerous but right now it seems the best available option." Drake said with a somber expression.

"Drake, he is just a ki-"

"Elora you know the ways of this world, they won't even think twice before abducting or killing a child. There are spies from different families and nations all over Ablon, it won't be long until they find out about Nile." Drake said with a heavy heart.

"h..uh" Elora was lost in her thoughts she knew how cruel this world was.

"Offcourse Nile will have the final say in it and you do not have to worry, just trust Darren and Nile. I want you to think about it and let me know, the sooner the better." Drake said and left with a gloomy face.

Elora stayed in the room, lying on her bed she cried for hours, Nile's small and delicate face kept appearing on her mind.

'I know what Drake is saying is the best option but how can I ask Nile to leave and live among wild beasts? If we cannot even protect our own son from others, how are we suppose to protect a whole town? Are we even capable of it? I am sorry son, I have failed as a mother, your mama is not even capable to give you a normal childhood.' Elora thought while weeping.

Even though she was a strong and rational woman who had faced many hardships in her life, but when it came to matters related to Nile she was timid in her decisions and the most irrational person.

Next day

'I wonder for how long I have been asleep', Nile thought while stretching himself.

Mia who was just standing outside entered the room after seeing Nile wake and said while bowing. "Lord and lady request your presence master"

"Hmm, I will be there in a minute" Nile thought for a while and continued "Mia you are like family, you can call me Nile " Nile said while picking up his skill scroll, from under his pillow.

Mia was stunned hearing Nile, a tear rolled down her cheek, which she quickly wiped off. It had been more than a decade since someone referred to her as family.

"Okay, let us go Mia" Nile left, followed by Mia

"Father you called for me " Nile said and bowed to the 3 people present in the room (Drake, Elora, and Darren.

"Yes Nile, we have a very important thing to discuss" Drake said in a serious tone and gestured Nile to sit.

"Son, there has been never a person in history who became a cultivator before the age of 8. As for your nature, less than 20 penta natured cultivators have ever walked on this planet to this date. You my son are a genius among geniuses, and do not even get me started about your swor-" Drake who was proudly stating his son's achievements felt Elora's hand poking at his back, gesturing him to get straight to the point.

Drake paused, cleared his throat, and continued with dull expressions. "Son we are incapable to protect you right now, so we feel it would be best for you to stay and train in the forest with Darren. We do not want to force our decision on you Nile, it is just a suggestion. Even if you decline, we would do our best to protect you here in this town."

After hearing Drake, Nile got up and walked towards Elora, who had her head hung low and was trying hard to hold back her tears.

Nile hugged her and said in a comforting voice- "Mother I understand the situation you are in, I know both you and father would have never even asked me if this was not necessary. I have faith in both of yo-."

Hearing him Elora kneeled and tightly hugged Nile, the tears she had been trying to hold back trickled down her cheeks, to hide such an embarrassment she dug he eyes on Nile shoulder and said while sobbing-"Nile, I as a mother have failed in protecting you. Please do not hate me."

"Mother why would I hate you, please don't cry I would not be able to leave. At what time we leave by the way."

"Huh, we were thinking in a few months, after your 4th birthday." Drake replied

"Mother, there are still 2 months left for it, you made me think we leaving just now." Nile paused for a while and continued "Mother you know I haven't eaten dinner last night and even skipped breakfast, I am very hungry please cook me something good." Nile said while holding his stomach.

"Huh why did you skip two meals, you growing up Nile your body needs nutrients, you just wait here, I will cook you something delicious." Elora said and quickly left.

"hehehe, your son is smart" Darren said while giggling.

"Yes he is" Drake said and paused for a while and continued with a sad expression- "I am really sorry Nile, but it seems the only option we have right now, I hope you don't hate us"

"Father I can never hate you, I know this must be the only way, and don't worry about me. Please let us drop this discussion for now."
