"Oi, oi, Kali. Doesn't Erigor have the air advantage? He can simply send attacks down at Erza who's on ground level." Gray said in a worried tone.
"Aren't you forgetting something? Erza's magic allows her to fly, she just hasn't activated it yet. Now be quiet and watch. This matchup is going to be entertaining." Kali replied.
"Alright, fine." Gray said as he turned away. However, he felt as if something was amiss and glanced back. "Huh? Where'd you get that popcorn from?"
Kali shrugged. "Who knows?"
The atmosphere between Erza and Erigor was intense. The pressure kept growing. The two were leaking quite a bit of killing intent too which made the battle even more entertaining for Kali.
"Go on Erza, show me how much stronger you've gotten since I've been gone."
And just like that, Erza's appearance changed. She was now wearing silver armor, dual blades, and had wings on her back. Kali had always thought Erza looked amazing whenever she had her armor on, even without it too.
The wings on Erza's back stretched as she dashed off into the sky. In less than a second, Erza's dual blades were pressing against the scythe Erigor was holding.
"Oh, you're pretty fast." Erza said with a grin.
"You too." Erigor replied. "But you're not fast enough!"
Erigor swiped his scythe causing Erza to be sent back a bit. Erigor used his wind magic to boost himself towards Erza. When he was close enough, he held his blade up high and swung down at Erza.
"I've got you now!"
As the scythe was swinging down at Erza, she smiled, and looked at Erigor in the eye.
"You say I'm not fast enough, but are you sure you aren't talking about yourself?"
Suddenly, Erza disappeared from Erigor's peripheral vision and felt pain all over his body.
"H-huh?" Erigor muttered in shock as he stared down at his bloody body.
"What happened?"
Kali smiled at Erza in awe at how much she's grown before turning towards Gray.
"I'll tell you what happened." Erza said. "So you know how Erza has different armor and can change between them?"
"Yes, I do."
"Well, she has this one armor that's called Flight Armor which drastically increases her speed. In a split second, she changed to that armor to become faster than Erigor and change back so he wouldn't notice. And just like that, he's now severely injured."
After taking in the information, Kali couldn't help but stare at Erza amazed. After all, there was a reason why Erza is one of the strongest members of the strongest guild in Fiore.
Kali couldn't help but mutter, "But seriously, how much did she train to do that?"
Gray chuckled, "You'll have to ask her to find out."
"Don't worry, I will." Kali said before glancing back at the fight. "Though, I feel bad for Erigor."
"Why is that?"
"Because Erza's blades hurt like hell when they cut you."
Gray stumbled back in shock. "W-wait. You've been cut by Erza's blades before?!"
"Why are you so surprised? We used to spar a lot so of course I'd get cut." Kali said.
Gray gulped in terror at the thought of Erza's blades cutting him. Now, Erza was a hundred times scarier in his mind.
Kali simply smiled as the memories of when Erza had accidentally cut her entered her mind. Erza started freaking out and started crying. And jeez, it took more than just twelve plates of strawberry cake and Kali showing Erza it's fine to calm her down.
Kali chuckled at the memory.
"What's so funny?" Gray asked.
"Nothing," Kali replied. "Let's retrieve the flute, it looks like Erza's done and your favorite guild member is arriving."
Gray was confused. "Eh? Who?"
"Who else? Natsu of course!"
"That guy will never be my favorite!"
Kali simply laughed as she headed towards Erigor's limp body on the train tracks.
Kali smiled and clapped. "Well done Erza, you were amazing."
"Thank you," Erza replied as she turned away to hide her beet red face.
"And, it seems the sky has cleared up too." Kali said as she felt a familiar heat coming behind her and muttered, "Natsu, you never learn do you."
Right before the "heat" could touch Kali, she simply snapped her fingers and Natsu was suddenly in the ground, literally.
"Natsu! Are you okay?!" Lucy asked in a worried tone.
"Don't worry," Kali replied. "He'll be fine, he's experienced this over a thousand times already. I'm sure he's gotten used to it."
"A thousand times?! Isn't that extremely bad?!"
"Anyway, what should we do with this flute?" Kali asked as she held the small twig-like thing in her hand.
"Use it to bring fish!" Happy suggested.
Kali shook her head. "I get that you're hungry, but we can't do that."
Happy had a sorrowful atmosphere around him.
"Why don't we take it to the conference?" Erza suggested. "That way, we'll know what to do with it."
"Alright."
When they arrived at the place where the guild representatives were, the flute suddenly started shaking violently causing Kali to let go of it.
Suddenly, Kali felt several presences behind her and a purple magic spell could be seen in the air.
"I'm tired of all of you gutless wizards!" the flute spoke as it turned into a giant tree-like monster with three glowing purple eyes. "I can no longer hold back! I shall devour your souls!"
While the people around Kali were freaking out, she was unfazed by its sudden appearance.
"Ah, so this is one of the demons from the Book of Zeref." Kali said as she analyzed the monster. "What a disgusting appearance."
Kali could hear some talk in the background.
"This is Living Magic. A form of magic made by Zeref. The Lullaby is the monster."
"Eh?! The ancient wizard Zeref?!"
"The black wizard Zeref who was the most evil wizard in the history of wizardkind?!"
Kali laughed at the rude comments the people made about Zeref. She stared at the monster. "Zeref, it's been a while since I've heard his name. I wonder how he's doing right now."
"It's decided, I will kill all of you!" the monster yelled as it let out a wide scream.
"Stop it! Don't let it sing the Lullaby!" someone yelled in the background.
A terrible sound started to enter everyone who was in the area's air, several people even fell to the ground.
Kali who was unfazed started walking towards the monster with a calm demeanor.
"Hey!" Kali called out to the monster. "You hideous creature!"
The taunt was able to draw the monster's attention.
"You…what did you call me?!" the monster yelled as it let out another deafening scream.
"Kali! Don't go there alone! I don't care how strong you are! You can't take down that thing alone!" Master Makarov yelled from behind.
Kali simply turned around and waved him off.
"That girl, I swear she never listens anymore!" Master Makarov said in frustration.
"She never listened in the first place." Erza added.
"You're not wrong."
Looking at the creature, Kali couldn't help but laugh at Zeref's creativity. Seriously, out of everything he could have made, he turned a tree into a living thing who could play music. It was hilarious.
"Foolish wizard, it seems you have a death wish." the monster said as it directed its killing intent towards Kali. "I'll gladly grant it for you."
"Oh? You have decent killing intent, but it's not enough." Kali said as she stopped moving.
The others were worried that something happened to Kali since she suddenly froze, but they couldn't move forwards due to the tremendous amount of killing intent directed in their direction.
"Kali!"
"Kali! Are you okay?!"
Kali simply chuckled, "Let's end this, I made them worry a bit."
The monster laughed, "End this? Are you finally giving up?! I'll give you a painless death for your brave sacrifice!"
The light in Kali's eyes disappeared as it went blank.
"Who said I was dying, you twig?"
"Eh?" the monster felt a shiver down its spine despite not having one.
"Now go back to being dead, you useless monster." Kali said as she held out her palm and grasped it.
Suddenly, the air in the area disappeared in a second which left everyone gasping for air after it was over. Only two people knew what had happened.
Kali had taken over the monster's killing intent with her own killing intent. The two people who knew were Master Makarov and Erza. Nobody in the area was strong enough to detect it, not even the guild representatives who were there.
Makarov and Erza were simply on a different level.
Then, time seemed to move normally again. Everyone looked around to see that the monster had disappeared and at the center of it all was Kali.
It was clear who saved everyone.
The SS-Rank Wizard Kali who was also known as the "Killer of Time" had saved their souls from being devoured.
Kali turned around and smiled. "Everything's over."
Just like that, the fearful atmosphere turned into a delightful one.
