Chapter 69 : Kyros Might!

"Fantastic! Kyros has returned!"

The exclamation echoed through the Fairy Tail guild as they caught sight of the familiar figure.

Mirajane breathed a sigh of relief as Kyros emerged before her, a smile gracing her lips. She understood Kyros's prowess better than anyone else; with him around, Fairy Tail's strength was assured.

"Kyros, how are you? And the Master?" Mirajane inquired anxiously.

Kyros offered a reassuring smile to everyone. "We're all safe. The Master will return shortly. I hurried back ahead of him, just in case. Seems like I made it in time."

"Kyros, those Phantom Lord scoundrels..."

"Don't fret. They'll pay for what they've done."

Kyros's gaze hardened as he stared towards Phantom Lord's headquarters. The glint of determination in his eyes underscored the gravity of the situation. Had he arrived any later, both Fairy Tail and Mirajane might've been in peril.

"It's this guy who attacked us and Gajeel!" A Phantom Lord member in the control room pointed accusingly at Kyros.

Jose's eyes narrowed with malice. "So, it's you, you little wretch. Seems like the Magic Council's trash couldn't hinder you, but at least they managed to relocate Makarov."

"And Do you want the Phantom Lord Guild to vanish?" Kyros retorted icily.

Jose smirked. "Brat, defeating Gajeel might have given you some confidence, but that's all it is. Let me show you the true might of the Phantom Lord!"

"Boom—-!!"

The doors of Phantom Lord's headquarters creaked open, and a horde of Phantom Lord members spilled forth. Easily numbering two to three thousand, their gazes bore into Fairy Tail with hostility.

"So many of them!!!" Lucy gasped, her eyes wide with shock. The tension in Fairy Tail's ranks rose as they processed the overwhelming disparity in numbers.

"Why are there so many?!" Natsu exclaimed, incredulous. Fairy Tail only boasted a hundred members in total, while Phantom Lord's forces outnumbered them twentyfold.

Gray's expression darkened. "Phantom Lord must've established branches everywhere, recruiting all sorts of individuals. But I didn't expect their numbers to be this staggering."

For a typical wizard guild like Fairy Tail, one guild in Magnolia sufficed; they didn't encroach upon others' territories to establish branches randomly. Such actions usually led to conflicts over job assignments, making it an undesirable practice. Thus, most wizards preferred to operate within their own territories.

The Phantom Lord Guild paid no heed to others, often infiltrating different cities to sow chaos without dialogue, engaging in malevolent competitions that led to the dissolution of numerous local guilds.

"Hahaha! Did you witness it?! This is the might of Phantom Lord, the paramount wizard guild!"

"I boast the greatest number of mages! Unrivaled talent! Why should Fairy Tail challenge me? Why should Makarov confront me?!"

"Vanish without a trace, Fairy Tail!"

"Slay them!"

"Slaughter them!!"

The entire Phantom Lord contingent leapt from their guild headquarters, brandishing weapons and charging toward Fairy Tail.

With two to three thousand assailants bearing down with murderous intent, darkness encroached, and the vast numerical superiority instilled fear.

"Kyros!"

Many eyes within Fairy Tail turned to Kyros. The opposition was overwhelming. Even if several Fairy Tail members could contend with ten adversaries each, they were outnumbered.

With the guild master absent, Kyros assumed command. Whether to stand and fight or retreat hinged upon Kyros's decision.

Kyros smirked disdainfully, "Merely a flock of turkeys and mongrels!"

"Om—!"

An unseen, daunting aura emanated from Kyros as he charged at the enemy.

"What—!!"

The advancing members of Phantom Lord Guild members froze as if time itself halted.

Then, "Thud-Thud!!"

Every Phantom Lord member collapsed unconscious.

"Boom—!"

The overpowering force of the Conqueror's Haki falls upon the Phantom Lord Guild causing it to tremble.

"What?!" Jose's expression shifted, and he swiftly steadied himself.

"Crack cack!"

In Phantom Lord's control room, all those manipulating equipment slumped unconscious.

"What's happening?! What's going on?!!"

Jose's complexion paled. Apart from the four elemental Phantom Lord Guild Members and his proud Phantom Lord forces were decimated in an instant. What had transpired?

"Fantastic!"

"Kyros is truly remarkable!"

"To think it could take down so many in a single strike!"

The entire Fairy Tail guild erupted into cheers.

They had all heard tales of Kyros's prowess, but upon joining the guild, witnessing their might firsthand left them utterly astounded.

Even though Kyros was already renowned as the most formidable wizard within Fairy Tail, witnessing Kyros incapacitate two or three thousand wizards in one fell swoop was beyond comprehension.

"You're the one behind this, aren't you?" Jose glowered at Kyros, his voice tinged with menace.

"Jose," Kyros responded coolly, "I warned you. Should you dare to provoke Fairy Tail again, I'll ensure Phantom Lord vanishes from this world entirely."

Kyros's right palm ascended high into the air, exuding Conqueror's Haki that seemed to coalesce into a colossal, imposing sword hovering above their head.

"Slash!"

With a resolute cry, Kyros commanded, and the gigantic sword descended upon the Phantom Lord guild's headquarters.

"Crack!"

A streak of crimson and black lightning streaked across the sky.

"Boom!"

The sword, suffused with Kyros's Conqueror's Haki, cleaved through the very heart of the Phantom Lord's stronghold.

"Boom!"

The guild's headquarters split in twain under the force of Kyros's strike, even slicing through the vast expanse of water behind it.

The members of Fairy Tail stood in stunned silence, their eyes widening in disbelief at the sight before them.

They had heard of Kyros's unparalleled strength, but witnessing it firsthand was an entirely different experience. Was this truly the power of a mere mortal?
