Where am I?

The moment Kazemi died, he felt a warm feeling course through his entire body as all the pain disappeared.

'Am I in heaven?'

He thought when he didn't feel the searing pain in his chest, he had a feeling as if his entire body had changed and was reborn anew.

Kazemi opened his eyes, he was shocked when he saw an unfamiliar sky as the sunlight was blaring on his body and felt hot while sweat formed in his head. He raised his hands to wipe the sweat when he stopped and was dumbfounded at the thing he saw.

'WHAT!?'

Kazemi exclaimed in shock when he saw that his hands were as tiny as a baby's hands. He knew deep down that it really was the hands of a baby or more like he was a baby.

He panicked, he couldn't comprehend what had happened to him as he tried shouting but all it came out was the sound of a baby crying.

'How... no, did I reincarnate?'

Kazemi thought, it was the only explanation he could think of as he knew that no demon could have the power to turn an adult into a baby.

'Hmm?'

He saw as an elderly woman came up to him and grabbed the basket he was in. The elderly woman then put him down gently on the ground when he felt a note fall which was inside his chest.

Kazemi then heard her speak an unfamiliar language when she read the note. He thought that he was reincarnated in a foreign country as he couldn't understand her language.

'Am I in Germany? or could it be China... Hmm, perhaps...'

Kazemi was thinking of all kinds of Countries that felt similar to the language she was speaking. As he was in deep thought, he heard a roar come out of the trees and a gigantic lion walked out with a menacing look.

He trembled in fear when he saw the creature, he knew that no such animal exist in any Country of his world. Kazemi then saw something that changed his entire life, the elderly woman raised her hands as a magic circle appeared and murmured in an unknown language. She aimed at the creature as a spear of water manifested out of thin air and shot out as it pierced the head cleanly.

'T-This... where the hell am I?'

...

February 2, Year 770

It's been 5 years since I was reincarnated into this world. At first, I had a hard time learning the language as it was more complicated than I thought but I managed to master it all at the age of 2.

After mastering the language of this world, I immediately asked for a book about the history of this world. I learned that I am in the eastern part of the Earth Land or more precisely the kingdom of Fiore.

As for where I am in Fiore, I have no clue since I currently lived in a wooden hut with my 'Mother' in a middle of an unknown forest.

"Kazemi, come here" an old woman said as she walked out of the wooden hut.

I turned around and nodded as I stared at the old woman with silver-blue hair. Her name was Mabel Watanabe, a water mage who specialize in [Molding Magic - Water Make] and a sword master as well.

I was surprised when she told me she was a sword master, I never thought that she would be one considering her aged body but I guess you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

He also noticed one thing, whenever a beast tries to invade our house, black markings would appear all over her body as she fights which made me curious as to what kind of magic it is.

"You have been training your body for 4 years now, It is time for you to awaken the magic that is dormant in your body" Mabel said.

'Finally! I get to use magic' I thought as I felt my body boil in excitement at the prospect of using magic.

"You should have remembered what I had taught you about Magic and Ethernano, right?' Mabel asked him.

I nodded, he remembered the things she taught about how Ethernano dwells inside all living organisms and Magic is the physical embodiment of the spirit.

"Good, let's start the process" Mabel stated as she put her hand on his back.

...

A few minutes later

Kazemi started glowing with a blue aura that surrounds him as droplets of water started manifesting out of thin air around him. After a while, everything returned to normal as he stopped glowing while the droplets of water fell to the ground.

"Huh... what was that, Mabel-san?'

Kazemi asked, he saw himself covered with the aura of water earlier. He felt refreshed as if he had taken the most amazing bath he had.

"You have the affinity for water magic"

She stated, she then went on to explain how mages could have a certain affinity to some magic, someone could have the affinity of fire magic and they would easily become more proficient in that specific magic. But just because they have a certain affinity for some magic, it doesn't mean that they couldn't learn other magic, it would just take much longer to master it.

Kazemi nodded at it in relief thinking that he might not be able to learn other magic. Even if it might take longer to master it, he will still try to learn other ones.

"Now that I've awakened, doesn't that mean you will teach me magic?"

Kazemi asked with a hopeful look in his eyes, he really wants to learn magic especially if he could combine his breathing technique with ethernano. He wondered if his breathing style would amplify in power due to the ethernano or would he create a new form of magic.

"Haha... Of course, I would be teaching you especially after learning that you have an affinity for water magic"

Mabel stated and laughed at the expression he had, she smiled in relief since she finally has someone to pass on her magic to someone. She couldn't help but feel sad knowing she doesn't have much time and felt even more determined to teach him everything she knows so that he could live safely in the future.
