Chapter 41: Attack with Blazing flames

A group of cloaked men is a hundred or so meters from the camp.

The one at the lead with a wolf mask on his face spoke.

"Spread out, and do as the plan says."

The other man in a black cloak nodded and then surrounded the base camp with different positions, but it has the camp in the center.

But in the process of spreading out an accident appeared.

A topless boy wearing only shorts with his hairstyle like a bun covered with a white cloth while holding a gourd in his hand.

"This party tonight is Hic* really wild! Just like a man should be."

"Huh? Hic* Who the heck are yo- Hic* you? I didn't see Hic* you in the banquet earlier."

He said to a cloaked man.

"It's an unlucky day for you boy, You should have not seen me, Now I have no choice but to get rid of you."

The man said with a righteous tone but still activated his magic to kill the boy.

A red magic circle appeared in front of the cloaked man and 7 fireballs were released from it.

"Blazing Fire: Seven flames of the great Blaze!"

The seven fireballs rushed to the boy with blazing speed.

But strangely enough, as a drunk person, the boy dodged all the fireballs while swaying like a drunk.

"Hic* Why say a lot of nonsense Hic*, You should face me like a real man!!"

While saying that he rushed towards the cloaked man with glowing palms swaying left and right dodging all seven fireballs cast by the cloaked man.

After closing in on the cloaked man, the boy delivered a series of palm strikes at him piercing him with the ethernano attached to the palm.

"You Hic* lack the wild spirit of a real man."

He said as the cloaked man dropped to the ground and gradually lost his breath.

The boy was about to continue drinking when he suddenly realized something that brought him to sobriety.

"Oh shit! I have to report that there are intruders around the camp."

Inside a tent on edge of the camp is a boy carving bones out of wood when suddenly a loud shout was heard from outside.

"Blazing fire from twelve directions seals off all paths!"

The blazing fire then set shot off like a pillar from eleven directions forming a barrier that seals of the base camp from the outside world.

Alarm bells then started to ring throughout the camp along with shouts.

"Enemy Attack!! Enemy Attack!!"

The wizards and mercenaries who were resting inside the tents were quickly awakened by the shouts.

When they were done preparing themselves and were about to head to the center of the camp another shout was heard from outside the barrier.

"Twelve flames divide the land!!"

Then the eleven pillars of flame separated a small section of flames that divided the whole base camp into eleven parts.

John looked at the boy that just came back in time before the camp got sealed in flames.

" What happened outside there, Bacchus?"

Bacchus just took a sip from his gourd and answered.

"There are probably twelve mages good at blazing fire magic to set up this barrier."

"And the strength of the mages is around peak D-rank to low C-rank mages."

"And why do you ask me calmly now John? When I first introduced myself to you a few days ago you can't wait but shot me with your puppets."

Bacchus Groh the ace of the guild Quatro Cerberus, is said that he had fought Erza equally. But he lost to Elfman Strauss in the grand magic games.

As for why John attacked this guy like a lunatic when they first met.

Well, it had something to do with a certain episode in the Grand magic games arc.

In that episode, Cana and Bacchus had a drinking match which he ended up winning and taking Cana's bra as a trophy.

That's why John is extremely angry with this guy and swore to beat him up when he got stronger.

Because Bacchus is now a strong Peak C-rank mage right now as he was really talented to be able to fight Erza equally in the same generation.

"This time is different there are enemies attacking so, I'll let you go off the hook for now."
