The little girl thought for some time and then scratched her head dumbly. She appeared funny with such a cute, thoughtful expression on her face. "Oh,... um, only those that are acknowledged by the supreme law's of the universe."
"Supreme laws of the universe!" Alvin asked, puzzled. "What is that?"
Again, the little girl thought for a long time and said seriously, "I don't know."
Alvin was speechless. "If you don't know, then why the hell were you thinking for so long like an old monk? Weren't you boasting earlier that you are as old as the universe itself? Then why don't you know anything?"
Being looked down upon, the little girl was displeased. She stood up from the book with hands on her hip. "Tell me the answer to one of my questions, and I will give you the answer to yours. If you fail to answer my question, you have to call me Eye God from now on."
"Hey, who do you think you're fooling, Little Eye? Did I tell you that I know everything in the world? Or did I boast that I am as old as the universe itself? It was you who did it. Then why should I answer your question and bear the punishment?" Alvin retorted.
"You..." The little girl was again at a loss for words. "Do you want to know the answer or not?" she asked angrily.
"I want," Alvin replied.
"Then answer the question," she said with puffed cheeks. "Who taught fish how to swim?"
"Didn't they know that when they are born? Do you think there is a swimming class going underwater, where a teacher fish will teach newborn fish how to swim?" Alvin was speechless. Is this girl testing my common sense?
"It's the same for me. I also know some things like an instinct. I don't know why I know this or why I don't know that. I only know I gained consciousness after merging with you," she explained while lying over the golden book once more.
Alvin also nodded. Now he understood one thing: this little girl was completely clueless.
Suddenly, he thought of something and asked, "Then tell me, what is the deal with that wisdom points? Is it one of your skills as well?"
The little girl shook her head. "No," she continued. "It's not a skill of mine. Those wisdom points represent the innate understanding of the universe that resides within every living being, buried deep within their soul. Normally, this wisdom dissipates into the cosmos when the organism passes away. However, I've managed to record them on this page."
"Then why could I increase my proficiency using wisdom?" Alvin was confused.
"I told you, I only record those that are recognized by the laws of the universe in my pages. Usually, living organisms use their innate wisdom to understand the laws, but I used the wisdom points recorded on my page to directly trade with the laws of the universe to give you enlightenment on that specified law you selected. You can say it's like an exchange," she explained.
Alvin asked doubtfully, "You can also do that?"
"Only I can do that," she said proudly.
Alvin thought of something and asked, "Are you sure nobody else can do it?"
This time the little girl became angry and shouted, "Idiot! How many times do I have to tell you I am unique? If any random person can do what I can do, then what is the significance of my existence?"
Alvin said hesitantly, "That mother of the universe also offered me magic powers. If you say these are related to some laws of nature, then she can also trade with the laws, right?"
Hearing Alvin, the little girl was stunned. She sat on the golden book and started to think once more. Seeing that the girl was still thinking after a long time had passed, Alvin's patience was worn out.
"Little Eye, you don't have to think this much. Maybe because you only earned awareness just now, you might not be aware of everything happening in the universe," Alvin suggested. But the little girl directly ignored him, she didn't even look at him and continued to think like a monk.
After some time, she jumped up and shouted, "I understood!"
"What?" Alvin asked in annoyance. He had been waiting here for a long time for this little monk to speak something, but she remained like a statue, and didn't even respond to him.
"It's different; it is called blessing, where entities with high control over certain laws of the universe use their powers to forcefully modify your body into a vessel for a certain type of universal law," she said.
"Isn't it the same?" Alvin was confused.
Little Eye shook her head. "There are limitations to that. The person who becomes a vessel can only have an affinity to a single type of law that his body was blessed with. His soul won't tolerate the existence of a second type of law in his body."
"So what? Is there any difference?" he asked.
"Fool, use your brain. Can't you see your body has more than one type of law that originally didn't belong to you? But even so, you are perfectly fine. If you had become a vessel, you might have exploded by now," Little Eye shouted, pointing her finger at Alvin, who had a blank expression on his face.
