Hello, readers!
Welcome to my new novel, and here is my base review of it.
Once again, I will try my best to cast aside my Writer Bias and give you an objective rundown on what to expect from this story.
First things out of the way... this is a story about someone reincarnating into a novel where he is in the body of a character (An Extra), and must navigate his new life in this new world in order to reach his objective (Which is the novel's perfect ending).
As you would expect from a story like this, there will be a lot of popular and cliche tropes used, especially since it takes place in an Academy, but I will do my best to subvert your expectations.
The MC is not a villain nor a hero, but somewhere in-between, who will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. He can be manipulative, cunning, and incredibly sly in his actions... since he is an Extra and would rather not act in a direct way.
However, when in certain scenarios where a direct approach is necessary, the MC rises to the occassion.
Secondly, the MC's identity and his relationship with the Novel he gets transported to (As well as a majority of his past) will be kept as a mystery for the readers, and it will play a key role in the coming chapters. This is important because many readers might be influenced by preconcieved notions about the character, and I just want you all to judge the book and its characters by their own merits.
Thirdly, regarding the worldbuilding and pacing... please note that this is an Academy story, so most events will take place here (at least for the earlier chapters), so do be patient and enjoy the narrative for what it is. The pacing is fine as well, since the story starts off in the meat of things and doesn't slow down for a while.
Still, I believe you need to read a few chapters (5-10) before deciding whether or not it is worth your time or not. It will be preferable for you to read a lot more (maybe Arc 1) to be able to fully grasp the story's essence and its direction, but... some readers might not want to dedicate that much time to this novel.
And that's fine.
I could tell you more and more about the many good things about this novel, but that would be overstepping my bounds, since you're supposed to read this with a fresh perspective and, hopefully, enjoy what you read.
I won't raise or reduce your expectations for the story, but it's just as good... if not better... than my most popular works.
Finally, this book (as is any work of fiction) is not for everyone.
Some will enjoy it and some won't... which is absolutely fine. If you do not like what you read, it doesn't mean the story is objectively bad. It just might not be the one for you. Please make sure to only criticize the story if it is of objective relevance to the story and not some arbitrary claim that only applies to you.
Stuff like "I didn't like the characters, so this story is bad" or "The MC doesn't act in the way that I want, so he is dumb" are bad ways to review a novel, so please make sure to bring concrete reviews (both positive and negative) if you make a review. I appreciate constructive criticisms, and I also really appreciate support and any feedback you have as readers.
This novel, as are my other projects, is a work of passion and I have no intention of dropping it.
If you like what you read and want to support me, please do so.
Thank you... and Cheers!
