CHOOSING SIDES

LOCATION: THE SUBREALM

A man stands a few metres away from Stacy. A very handsome man in white robes. He has long white air and holds a staff made of pure gold. He speaks.

LUCIFER

Hello Stacy...

STACY

Who the hell are you?

LUCIFER

Well...names do not matter now child. I brought you here to propose an offer...

STACY

I'm dead...right?

LUCIFER

No you are in a state in-between life and death...infact you have little or no chance of going back.

STACY

Oh God

LUCIFER

God is not here child. It is only you.... and I. You're trapped and it is only I who can send you back to your realm.

STACY

What do you want?

LUCIFER

Good question...now we're now we're getting somewhere. You see...since I was casted out by my father, and replaced by you humans, I've been craving for something you people have.....Holy Energy. I once had so much of it...so much that the heavens became full and overflowed...so much power....so much strength...so much energy...even God was scared of me.

The man turns to a black mist and floats down to Stacy. The mist begins to float around Stacy.

LUCIFER

That was why he threw me out and took all that power. I then decided to invade the world and tear down God's creation but.... someone seems to be in my way. Guess who it is....You.

STACY

How?

LUCIFER

Well...after God collected all my Holy Energy, he divided it into tiny bits and shared it among the human race. Well your family had so much of this tiny bits and it grew overtime. Now you have inherited a power strong enough to stop me and my army from invading the earth.

Stacy's eyes widen as the mist begins to cool down in front of her revealing the man once again but this time, he is closer than ever.

STACY

Doomsday...you're the devil.....you're Lucifer.!

LUCIFER

You're such a good guesser...now to why I brought you here. I brought you here to offer you resurrection....give me your energy and I will send you back. Little Shawn must be worried about you... I'm beginning to feel like he likes you...

Lucifer bends to whisper in her ears

LUCIFER

He likes you more than anyone he's ever seen...so...what's it gonna be....Stacy? Are you gonna rot here or....are you gonna sell me your powers....your God given Holy Energy?

LOCATION: FATHER AARON'S CHURCH OF EXORCISM AND DEMONIC EXPULSION, SECOND FLOOR, NIGHT

In a dark room with a dim light shining down, we see Shawn, Megan, Anthony and Father Aaron standing next to Stacy who is lying unconsciously on a table with strange engravings and carvings.

SHAWN

She has been lying like this for hours....fuck!

FATHER AARON

You still haven't told me who did this to her Shawn...are you trying to hide your encounters from me?

SHAWN

There's a fucking mole in the council Father. Until I find that mole, I'm not revealing any of my encounters

ANTHONY

Who did you see in that mist Shawn....

SHAWN

I ain't revealing shit to anyone so you guys better leave me the fuck alone.

Shawn is walks away towards the balcony. He stands there and watches the whole city. His feelings cold and harsh.

MEGAN

Seriously what the hell is wrong with that dude?

ANTHONY

His girlfriend is stuck in the subrealm and without her, we have no chance at stopping doomsday. Dude deserves to be pissed.

Shawn looks back in ultimate anger

SHAWN

Hey! I didn't say no thing about no girlfriend okay so watch your tongue.

ANTHONY

Sorry dude.

MEGAN

So is there anyway she could probably get out of the subrealm so dude stops being pissed?

ANTHONY

If she's strong, she'll survive the subrealm.

Father Aaron walks up to Shawn and stands beside him. They both stare at the city for a while.

FATHER AARON

Beautiful isn't it?

SHAWN

The beauty isn't what I see.

FATHER AARON

Exactly. The beauty is what blinds men from seeing what is truly happening...the horrors that happen by midnight. That is why we Exorcists dedicate our lives to fighting the agents of darkness...making sure that people continue to see the beauty.

SHAWN

But no matter how good an agenda is...we humans tend to transform it...we tend to transform ourselves into monsters.....monsters who drain people's energies and use them to achieve while hiding under the false agendas to transform the world.

FATHER AARON

The world comes first before anything Shawn. Even if it takes my life, I will always protect people from the darkness that surrounds them. That is why we are called Exorcists. We cast out darkness....we do good. We are on the right side Shawn and there's no need to start choosing sides now.... So whatever that guy you saw in the mist must have told you....it's all a plan to lure you into darkness. He only....

Father Aaron is about to complete his statement when a loud beep is heard. The beep is coming from SHAWN'S new wrist gadget. Shawn stares at the gadget and sees an increasing list of numbers. The number keeps increasing till it reaches a thousand. Small words written beside it states"A thousand demonic attack proximity detected"

Father Aaron's hand begins to itch as blood from begins to flow out of the itchy area. The blood doesn't flow down....instead, it begins to dry up as it takes the shapes of letters. "L.E.G.I.O.N".

Same thing happens to Anthony and Shawn. Father Aaron looks at Shawn straight in the eye and looks back at the rest in the room.

FATHER AARON

He's back.

Megan is confused. She is neither a super girl nor an Exorcist.

MEGAN

Hey...hey I'm lost here...who the hell's back?

FATHER AARON

He's back!!! Everyone to the vestry now!!!!

Anthony grabs Megan as they sprint down stairs. Shawn quickly carries Stacy and hurries along as Father Aaron follows behind. As they go down the stairs, Megan receives a radio call.

UNKNOWN VOICE (from radio)

Sherrif.....the town is going crazy.... everyone's.... everyone's...killing each aaaaaaaargh.....aaaaargh ugh.

(Silence in static)

MEGAN

Jeez....what the hell

Megan receives another radio call.

UNKNOWN VOICE(from radio)

Sherrif....our men are down....I repeat our mean are...shit...shit.....I'm being chased.....all efforts to calm down the riot has failed....the people are killing.....oh crap....if you're listening to this....we need you out there..... we're loosing cops...it's like the people have been possessed.....shit I've gotta go....

Megan tries reaching a nearer channel

MEGAN(into radio)

Church environment come in.....

Nothing but silence from the radio. Megan is frustrated

MEGAN(into radio)

Church environment...come...in!

Another second of silence before boom a voice rockets out through the radio speakers.

SHALLY(from radio)

Sherrif...good God...I thought you were dead.... Where the hell have you been....the town's turning to blood. People have just started fighting each other to death....I don't know why... it's like a God damn apocalypse.....I'm hiding in a fucking trash can...this place smells like shit.

MEGAN(into radio)

How many channels are static?

SHALLY(from radio)

Over two fifty radios are static.... they're dead Sherrif....murdered by the civilians.

MEGAN(into radio)

You just hang on....I'm coming to get you outta there...Anthony will be coming with me. Just...just hang on.

Megan suddenly stops running and pulls out her automatic dessert eagle. She directs it at the others.

MEGAN

Oh everyone fucking stops right now!!

ANTHONY

What the hell are you doing?

MEGAN

What do you see me doing? I'm holding a fucking gun you nitwits and no one leaves this fucking place until I know what the fuck is going on.

SHAWN

Okay calm down..just calm down...

Shawn tilts Megan's gun down.

SHAWN

It's legion. He's laid low for a while now. You see the last time Legion appeared, he appeared in his most powerless form to kill Stacy. Stacy casted out the bitch but now he's back...this time in his wind like form. In that form, he spreads like a virus and is nearly unstoppable.

MEGAN

What the hell is the wind like form

FATHER AARON

His wind like form is the most powerful....in that form, he is invisible and he can possess multiple people at once, making them to do his will.

ANTHONY

The devil's target is Stacy so Legion is probably leading his blood thirsty motherfuckers to the church so we better arm up cause.....it's gonna be a tough one.

FATHER AARON

Hurry up...we better get ready before they hit here.

Megan returns her gun back to her holster

MEGAN

Woah..woah...hold on... wait..I won't be joining the defense party here. My friend is still out there hidden in a fucking trash can. I need to go with Anthony.

SHAWN

Well then you won't survive out there carrying an auto pistol without demon piercing rounds loaded in them.

They all speed into a chamber with lots of crazy weapons. Stacks upon stacks of assorted weapons.

MEGAN

Woah....this is crazy

FATHER AARON

There are two forms a demon can take. One is the powerless or physical form, if a demon appears to you in it's physical form....then you're at luck. You can fight it off using holy water and Gold. Exorcists use their energy coins. The second is the wind like form....if you encounter this one, you're doomed. This is because one demon could be in thousands of people trying to attack you at the same time and the only way to fight them off is to use Weapons....

Shawn drops unconscious Stacy on a nearby slab and walks up to the ammunition boxes and packs out lots of bullets.

SHAWN

Weapons loaded with demons piercing rounds and shells. These bullets were made from the last surviving holy fire which poured down from heaven when the devil landed on earth. This fire is stored in the Eternal Library locked away from anyone or anything. Only council members are allowed to access the fire.

MEGAN

So you're telling me now that our only way to fight those people is to kill them?

SHAWN

Once the demon flees the body, all injuries sustained during the combats will be immediately healed, the victim won't even know shit. All memories pertaining to combat are all gonna be fucking lost.

MEGAN

Okay then. Let's do this.

Megan grabs an automatic which catches her attention. She loads it and switches on the safety.

Shawn draw out his shot gun from within his black coat and loads it. He packs a lots of shells into a pocket underneath his coat. He takes a glass three glass bottles of holy water and three tiny cubes of gold.

Anthony grabs a golden bow and packs lots of golden arrows. He checks his pockets and brings out a golden coin similar in design to that of Shawn but this time, the picture of a ruthless skull is seen on it. The coin begins to glow on his hands. Megan sees this.

MEGAN

Sometimes, I always wonder why I'm the odd one...no coins, no energy, no superpower. I mean look at you guys.... you're all superpowered and stuff...

SHAWN

I blame Anthony for bringing you into this.

MEGAN

He had to....I was gonna shoot the hell outta him.

SHAWN

Stealing info at gun point is injurious to health young woman....

MEGAN

We were childhood friends Shawn. Me, you, Anthony...we were best buddies and yet you hid your powers away from me.

SHAWN

First it was precautionary...second it's not a superpower.....it's something everyone has....but only a few can use.

FATHER AARON

Enough....it's time. Shawn and I will stay and fight off the demons coming towards the church. While Megan and Anthony will go get all surviving elements on the streets.....save those who can be saved. We will try our best to burn Legion down from here. Our task is the most important. We need to protect Stacy.... she's our only bet at stopping doomsday.

Shawn responds to Father Aaron with a crazy look. He flashes back to what Pachinko had told him

FLASHBACK

We flash back to when Shawn and PACHINKO were in the mist.

PACHINKO

All they want to do is use you....they'll steal your powers. My father was just gone....forgotten....buried....while your father got the credit. The same thing will happen to you Shawn.

End of flashback....

Shawn and Father Aaron prepare for battle while Anthony and Megan hurrily leave the church.

Location: SOUTHERN BARDENCOCK, NIGHT.

The view is terrible. Everywhere is engrossed in flames. The streetDead bodies lies almost everywhere. Lots of car crashes and burnt buildings and cars. We see a huge crowd of people running towards the upper side of town. They all hold dangerous weapons like knives, machetes and guns. One of the men catches our attention. His clothes are torn and he is disoriented. His eyes are pure black and he gives out a crazy cruel wide grin.

EVERYWHERE GOES BLACK
