The water and fire elite zombies continued to absorb the energies of Golander and Cecrop. Their divine bodies, divine souls and divine energies were assimilated into the two elite zombies as they thought the process.
After a long time, Water and Fire Elite Zombies finally emerged from Golander and Cecrop's bodies. All of their tremendous elemental energy had been transferred into the Water and Fire Elite Zombies, and their bodies had been transformed into mortal flesh without any vitality or trace of life!
Han Shuo knew that the Water and Fire Elite Zombies would need a long time to fully digest the energies they had absorbed from Golander and Cecrop. It was equally important that they were not disturbed during this process. Sensing how chaotic the energies inside the water and fire elite zombies were, Han Shuo thought for a moment, gave some instructions, and performed incantations to return the five elite zombies to the Netherworld one by one.
Of the five Abyssal Great Demon Kings, four had been slaughtered by Han Shuo. Now, there was no being left in the entire Abyss Realm that could threaten Han Shuo.
"Take good care of the Fire and Water Elite Zombies. Let them digest these energies in peace," Han Shuo instructed Little Skeleton after the five elite zombies had left.
"Don't worry, father. I know what to do," Little Skeleton replied.
With the crisis now resolved, there was no need for Little Skeleton to stay behind. After a flash of light, Little Skeleton disappeared from Han Shuo's sight.
After Little Skeleton's departure, Han Shuo's Avatar of Death and Destruction transformed back into the Skeletal Staff and the Demonslayer's Edge before hiding in Han Shuo's body.
All of the chaotic energies that had erupted from the shattered Boundary faded and vanished. With the Domain of Divinity all gone, Han Shuo immediately felt the presence of those demons around him as he expanded his consciousness. After thinking for a moment, Han Shuo shouted, "All demons in the area, come to me!"
Before the two factions of Demon Kings clashed, there had been over forty demons in total. However, only thirty or so survived the chaotic bombardment of the meteor shower and the Spatial Edges that came from the triggered boundaries around them.
The four Demon Kings had originally thought that their opponent would be each other, so they had ordered their Demons to stay out of the way. After all, these demons would undoubtedly be dead if they stayed in their Domains of Divinity. Besides, at this point, the Demon Kings were counting on them as cannon fodder to open up new paths, so they let the Demons evacuate.
After Han Shuo summoned them, the thirty or so demons gathered around him. It didn't take long for all the remaining demons under the four former Demon Kings to arrive at Han Shuo's side.
""Mis... Mr Han Shuo, what happened?" Bord and Zinia, who had survived yet another round of disaster, asked hastily as soon as they arrived and saw the desolate surroundings around them.
Han Shuo scanned the crowd around him with his bright eyes. He could see the confusion and astonishment written on their faces. "What's going on? Why has the Baptismal Radiance that Lord Golander bestowed upon me disappeared?" an astonished demon at Golander's side impatiently asked Han Shuo.
As these words were uttered, everyone's puzzled gazes converged on Han Shuo.
The Baptismal Radiance was a kind of master-slave contract that a Lowgod could use on his disciples. This kind of branding would allow the god to receive an endless stream of the power of faith from their followers. Their disciples could even brand weaker commoners on behalf of their masters, allowing their masters to receive the power of faith from commoners.
Any Lowgod could use their divine energy and divine soul to create an altar for the Baptism of Radiance ceremony. Once it was sprinkled on those who happily opened their souls, a contract would immediately take shape in their souls. Those who accepted the contract would from that point on become believers in that god. They would enshrine and worship that God, offering their selfless power of faith.
Faith wasn't something material. It didn't cost those people much to offer their faith. However, the very same thing, when offered to a God, would be extremely useful in advancing their Divine Energy and Domain of Divinity.
In general, the Baptismal Radiance within those believers who had accepted the contract would remain in their bodies forever, unless they converted to another faith to worship another god. Of course, if the god they believed in were to die, the Baptismal Radiance within them would naturally disappear as well.
Once a person had accepted the blessing of Baptismal Radiance, no matter how many material planes away they were from the God they believed in, their Baptismal Radiance would never fade!
So when the Baptismal Radiance vanished from the souls of those demons who had consecrated the four Demon Kings as their gods, and they could not change their faith to another god, there was only one possible explanation - the gods they believed in were all dead!
Perhaps the Demon Kings of the Abyss were too powerful and ferocious in their minds, or perhaps their faith was too deep-rooted, or perhaps because they had trusted their spirits for too long, although they knew that this was most likely the case, they did not think that way. Instead, they looked at Han Shuo in confusion, waiting for his answer.
Looking at these people, who could be considered as figures of great power and influence in the Abyss realm, Han Shuo truly felt sorry for them. These beings had dedicated their entire existences to the four demon kings. And yet, all they got in return was to be valued as mere cannon fodder. Moreover, under the deliberate actions of the Demon Kings, they would never have the chance to become true gods!
After glancing at the crowd with his cold eyes, Han Shuo said callously, "I believe that each and every one of you must have felt that the Baptismal Aura within you has been extinguished. It is with great sadness that I inform you that all four of your Demon Kings are dead."
A great commotion erupted through the crowd of demons. Even though they weren't completely convinced, their faces turned pale when they heard Han Shuo's words. Their hearts were filled with despair and shock. Their eyes were filled with disbelief.
"How could this be? How could it be? How could Lord Golander be dead?"
"Impossible, you are mistaken. Our Lord will not die. He will not!"
"The Lord is dead. What are we to do?"
"We are finished. We are all finished."
All sorts of sounds came from the demons. The news of the death of their four Demon Kings had shocked them all. Accustomed to doing what their masters told them to do, these demons were at a loss for a moment. Their minds and emotions were in a hideous state of confusion. Their hearts were in a state of chaos that seemed never to be calmed.
"How did my master die?" the demon under Golander suddenly glared at Han Shuo and shouted.
"I killed him!" Han Shuo said callously.
"How did my master die?" a demon under Leviathan shouted.
"I killed him too!" Han Shuo replied again.
When Bord and Zinia opened their mouths to say something, Han Shuo waved his hand, looked around and proudly announced, "No more questions. I killed all four of them!"
Upon hearing these words, all of the demons' mouths fell shut. The scene fell into a terrible silence. Each and every one of them stared at Han Shuo in disbelief, absolutely unable to accept the fact.
"Impossible! Just you? You can't even kill one. How can you suddenly say you've killed all four lords?" one of the demons shouted.
Two streaks of light flew out of Han Shuo's body and quickly appeared beside him. His two avatars transformed into two more Han Shuos. The Lowgod's aura of death and destruction energy was abruptly released. Han Shuo's three pairs of cold eyes scanned the crowd once more. After that, the Avatar of Death began to set up an altar in front of the crowd.
"Your four demon kings wanted to get rid of me, so they joined hands to attack me. Of course, I wouldn't let them have their way. In the end, they are all dead, while I survived," Han Shuo explained, neither hastily nor slowly. Seeing that the crowd was still stunned and unconvinced, he began to speak again, "These are the facts. It doesn't matter if you believe it or not, because the facts don't change with your beliefs! At this moment, the Baptismal Radiance in your souls has vanished. The people who were under the rule of the four demon kings have all lost their faith. The Abyss Realm will never see a day without a ruler. I will reluctantly volunteer to be your new god!"
"No! You are not worthy! I will not accept! Never!" This demon under Golander was extremely displeased with Han Shuo and immediately rejected him.
Han Shuo's Death Avatar, who was in the middle of setting up an altar, pointed at the Demon from a distance. In the blink of an eye, the energy of death densely covered the Demon's body. In the next instant, every bone in its body began to protrude, eventually piercing its flesh. And in one fell swoop, its soul was annihilated in an instant. He was killed cleanly and effortlessly.
"What a noisy one. Since you would not offer me your power of faith, your existence is no longer required," Han Shuo said indifferently. After that, the avatar who was setting up an altar continued coldly, "I will complete the setting up of my altar very soon. At that time, I will activate my Baptismal Radiance. You will either obey or die. Choose wisely."
In the Abyss Realm, the one with the biggest fist had the most powerful words. Han Shuo knew this rule well. Skipping all the nonsense talk, he made his absolute, if overbearing, power known directly.
"We are willing," just as Han Shuo had expected, Bord and Zinia, who had been under Han Shuo's care throughout the journey, were the first to accept Han Shuo as their master after a brief moment of hesitation.
