CHAPTER 564: Chaos Imminent

The party advanced a few hundred metres without encountering any obstacles. Manticole and Leviathan scanned every inch of visible ground around them, but found no treasures of any real value.

Later, they found their way forward blocked by a boundary. Following their usual standard procedure, when the Demon Kings couldn't tell what kind of energy the barrier was made of, Leviathan immediately instructed, "Anro, go and try it.

Even though Leviathan and Manticole were both Lowgod, they could only detect boundaries that contained the same energies in which they cultivated. If the elemental energy of the boundary was well hidden within the boundary, and the energy was not of Lightning or Darkness, then Leviathan and Manticole could only resort to the most primitive method of all - finding out with their lives!

The two of them couldn't sense which energy it belonged to, but that didn't mean Han Shuo couldn't. Han Shuo held out his hand and pointed at a demon under Manticole who was cultivating in the element of wind. Han Shuo wasn't really that merciful. He didn't care about the life and death of those demons under Leviathan and Manticole. It's just that it would really take a lot of manpower to continue their approach. Han Shuo was just worried that with their trial and error, it wouldn't be long before all those demons would be dead. Han Shuo shrugged. He did not take the threat of this existence to heart.

Yadi let out a cold, irritated groan. Then, without any nonsense, he jumped and threw himself into the boundary that blocked everyone's way. Loud whistling and whooshing sounds suddenly came from inside. Sharp, shining daggers were formed from the intense element of wind and began to slosh around inside the boundary, making clanking noises.

The expressions on Leviathan and Manticole's faces suddenly changed. Their eyes turned to Han Shuo at the same time. They were full of astonishment!

"Mr. Han Shuo, how did you know that the boundary was made of the wind element?" Leviathan was simply astonished.

Han Shuo smiled faintly and replied, "As I've said before, the main martial art I cultivate in is not quite the same as the one you know. Hehehe, so this bit of mystery about me isn't really that strange!"

The two did not respond to Han Shuo's deliberately mysterious explanation. However, they exchanged subtle, suggestive glances. No one knew what they were thinking behind those twinkling eyes.

"Mister Han Shuo really is a magical person! With this, we can cut our losses considerably!" one of the demons remarked. The group immediately agreed.

When Manticole and Leviathan saw that their subordinates seemed to approve of Han Shuo, the strange light in their eyes glowed even more.

Ting! That wind boundary suddenly burst open.

Contrary to the crowd's expectations, Yadi did not easily obtain the wind elemental energy contained within. This demon who had entered the boundary while harbouring hatred for Han Shuo seemed to be extremely unlucky. His pierced body came into view before the crowd. It had long since ceased to show any sign of life.

Although it would be much safer for you to enter a boundary made of the same energy you cultivate in, it wasn't completely without risk. This demon named Yadi was obviously very unlucky. Not only did he fail to obtain the energy from within, he also lost his life.

A loud whooshing sound came out of the ruptured boundary. A gust of powerful wind, as if it could separate flesh from bone, rushed in. The duo of Manticole and Leviathan bore the brunt of it. Their faces immediately turned grave and they hastily deployed their Domains of Divinity. The elements of Lightning and Darkness gathered around them. The duo defended themselves with all their might. It was only after a great deal of effort that they were able to withstand the powerful wind that erupted from the boundary.

"That was close. It must have been unleashed by a Midgod of Wind. Must have been ages ago, and yet the power left in it is still so threatening!" Leviathan still had fear on his face. There were beads of sweat on his forehead. It seemed that the wind blowing out of that ruptured Wind Element boundary had definitely drained quite a bit of his divine energy.

"Fortunately, so fortunately. If it had been Anro instead of Yadi who went in there, the wind that blew at us would surely have been several times stronger," Manticole said cheerfully after turning to look at Han Shuo.

Han Shuo choked back a hollow laugh and said nothing. Neither of the two demon kings were reliable. Han Shuo was definitely not going to let his guard down around them just because of the gratitude they expressed.

"Huh? Divine Fire Essence!" Leviathan let out a cry of surprise. Like a bolt of lightning, his body charged straight at the open land in front of him. He stretched out his hand, reached deep into the rocks, and grabbed a fist-sized crystal dazzling with the light of fire. He was overjoyed!

The fist-sized crystal contained an intensely fiery liquid. An incomparably scorching and terrifying energy was emitted from it without restraint. From a distance, this small piece of crystal looked like a miniature sun. It was mesmerising!

Divine Essence, this rare treasure that could be directly absorbed by a god and transformed into divine energy, actually existed in this place known as the Void!

"This is wonderful!" Manticole was exalted as well. He scrambled up beside Leviathan and said hastily, "With this Fire Divine Essence, if the other two guys have discovered Divine Lightning or Divine Darkness Essences, then we will have the means to exchange with them!"

Han Shuo's words made Manticole and Leviathan's faces shake.
