It was a feeling that could not be explained by words. As Han Shuo stood in front of the door, his Death Basegod soul attached to the skeletal staff had definitely sensed a disturbingly familiar aura coming from an object inside. It felt almost unreal.
From the urgent tone of Han Shuo's words, Jasper could tell that he was very excited. Although she was somewhat confused, she said nothing before walking to the stone door with the authorisation token Crosius had placed in her hand. As she inserted the token into one of the grooves, the stone door began to rise slowly.
A wide, well-lit tunnel was revealed. There were burning torches on the stone wall. There were four chambers connected to the tunnel, two on each side. At Jasper's sign, Han Shuo walked into the tunnel with her. Pointing to the stone chambers, she explained, "This is the War Demon Valley's weapons depot. There are also some unique and rare materials stored here. You can get anything you want."
From the moment he entered the tunnel, Han Shuo only had eyes for one of the stone chambers. He rushed straight in as Jasper spoke.
A round of clanking echoed through the tunnel as Han Shuo rummaged through a pile of oddly shaped weapons. He dug a bone tablet out of a notch in the dusty stone wall. The tablet wasn't large, shaped like a brick, and it wasn't obvious what creature's bone it was made from. On the front of the tablet was the pattern of a skull, while on the back was a Canopy of Necromancy magical matrix, emanating a faint element of death.
After completely unlocking all the secrets within the skeletal staff, Han Shuo realised that this bone tablet was the key to opening and operating a cemetery of death. The original owner of the Skeletal Staff had once received a bone tablet similar to the one Han Shuo was holding. It was given to him along with the Cemetery of Death. Later in his career, he had managed to memorise the imprint on the bone tablet and transfer it to his own weapon - the skeletal staff. This had effectively rendered the bone tablet useless.
The fact that Han Shuo had found the bone tablet suggested to him that there was another Cemetery of Death in the Abyss Realm. Han Shuo gradually released his mental energy using his Death Basegod Soul and allowed it to flow into the bone tablet. He discovered that the imprint within this bone tablet had also been removed.
"Han Shuo, what are you doing?" Jasper approached in confusion as Han Shuo pondered while fiddling with the bone tablet in his hand.
"This thing, where did it come from?" Han Shuo raised the bone tablet at Jasper and asked with a serious expression on his face.
"I have no idea, but it looks like it's been here for a while. Probably a tribute that was offered a long time ago. The thing is covered in a thick layer of dust, I doubt there's anything special about it. Han Shuo, does it have any function?" Jasper was perplexed.
"Help me find out the origin of this item. I need to know." Han Shuo knew that Jasper was responsible for the arrangement and classification of some of the items in the camp. This was also the reason why Crosius had appointed her to show Han Shuo the way.
"Sure. However, this thing is quite old and must have been placed here long before I was in charge of managing the warehouse records. It may take some time," Jasper replied with a broad smile. She seemed absolutely thrilled to be able to help Han Shuo.
"Thank you," Han Shuo replied. Finding this bone tablet had loosened a large stone in his heart. The presence of this bone tablet indicated that a subordinate of the Overlord of Death must have been present in this Abyss realm at some point, and therefore a Cemetery of Death must exist in this world.
After verifying his belief and finding its location, Han Shuo would finally be able to return to the Profound Continent via the Cemetery of Death. Seeing that his chances of returning home were looking more and more promising, his heart flipped like a pancake.
"Relax! Give me some time and I will find out for you. For now, you may choose the materials you need from the four stone chambers," Jasper said with a graceful smile. After glancing around the musty room, Jasper continued, "This room is from the oldest period, and most of the things in here are ancient. I don't think you'll find many goods to suit your needs. Perhaps you should look at the other three rooms first."
It was only after hearing Jasper's words that Han Shuo remembered the reason why he was there. After looking around, Han Shuo discovered that the stone room was larger than he had imagined. The entire room was the size of a basketball court, and the goods were neatly and densely arranged. There were some oddly shaped weapons and armour, with all kinds of stone, bone, and wooden materials of all colours, textures, and shapes. Han Shuo had never even seen most of the items in the room.
Han Shuo lacked a certain amount of knowledge about the Abyss Realm. Most of the goods there were different from those on the Profound Continent. However, Han Shuo believed that with the power of his consciousness, he could surely find some shockingly good materials in this wondrous Abyss Realm. Slowly, he questioned Jasper about the properties and specific functions of each item and material in the room.
Jasper's extensive knowledge as a manager surprised Han Shuo. She could describe the properties and specific uses of most of the materials in the room like an expert. As Han Shuo listened to Jasper's description, he examined each and every piece with his eyes and his Consciousness, not letting a single item pass him by.
As time passed, strange rays of light flashed across Han Shuo's eyes and his lips curved to reveal a pleasantly surprised smile. One by one, Han Shuo gathered the items into his space ring. After a short time, a hundred or so items in the room disappeared from view.
Jasper was shocked at what she saw. "Han Shuo, what, what is that thing? A bag? How can it hold so many things? That's, that's incredible!"
"Oh, this is a space ring. It's just like a bag and is used to store things," Han Shuo explained. He suddenly remembered that as cultivators of the eight elemental energies and four edict forces in the Abyss realm, they only trained the body, did not have sufficient knowledge of the soul, and could not sense the presence of spiritual power. Therefore, it would be impossible for them to construct an item like the Space Ring.
"Space ring?" Jasper was at a loss. Soon after, she turned extremely interested and asked, "How many things can it store?"
Han Shuo looked at this stone chamber the size of a basketball court before he replied, "Its capacity is about five times that of this stone chamber. That much."
"Han Shuo, you really are magical. Why are there so many mysterious items in your possession?" Jasper opened her small mouth wide for a long time before she finally said in shock.
"Here, I'll give you one. This space ring is only the size of a stone chamber, but it's still enough for you to store a lot of stuff," Han Shuo casually pulled out an inferior space ring and handed it to Jasper before he continued, "However, it will only become functional after you manage to sense the presence of mental power."
"It's precious!" Jasper was delighted and quickly slipped the light purple space ring onto one of her slender fingers.
"But nothing could be more beautiful than your two hands!" Han Shuo said frankly as he reached out to feel her fingers. He thought, "I'm going to take this girl down slowly. It wouldn't be as much fun if I did it too fast.
Jasper's pretty face blushed. She looked at Han Shuo with her bright eyes before she gritted her teeth and whispered, "Naughty boy! You really know how to flatter a woman, don't you?"
"It's true. Who can deny that you are the most beautiful woman in the War Demon Valley?" Han Shuo grinned. He was elated, but that happiness came from all the good things he had discovered in this Abyss realm. With Jasper's explanations and his own examination, he had stumbled upon a goldmine of artefacts that the Profound Continent lacked, many of them valuable materials that could be used to refine demonic weapons, in this stone room alone.
In addition, There were also some strange materials that were extremely hard to come by on the Profound Continent and Earth, which were stored in large quantities in this warehouse. For example, black iron ore and black gold ore of the highest purity, and an assortment of blue-gold sand that was more valuable than diamonds.
Hundreds of rare materials, as long as Han Shuo found them useful, were swallowed into his space ring without a trace of modesty. With so much good stuff on his hands, in addition to the Braingorge Raksha he had looted earlier, Han Shuo could immediately set about refining a new body for the Dark Dragon Gilbert.
Furthermore, with these materials at hand and some extra time, he could refine demonic weapons just as useful as the Blood Seether. It would be a wonder if he was not overjoyed.
"Were Hemanna and Sylph deceived by you like that? Hmph, you lecherous animal!" Jasper faked anger coquettishly. But soon she gave an adorable giggle and whispered, "But still, there's never been a man in this Abyss realm who could talk so kindly and be so accessible to the ladies as you. You are quite interesting!"
Any fool could see that Jasper had feelings for Han Shuo. However, as he had proper business to attend to, he was in no hurry to make a move on her. He let out a mischievous laugh and said, "Alright, alright, let's move on to the other three rooms... Hehe..."
As he spoke, Han Shuo deliberately walked up to Jasper to sniff the refreshing scent from her body, putting on a punchable face as he enjoyed her scent. Since Jasper had feelings for Han Shuo to begin with, she only scolded Han Shuo with a smile. She seemed most willing to be teased by Han Shuo. Later, she continued to introduce the materials in the other three stone chambers.
Han Shuo found even more materials in the other chambers that were extremely useful, not to mention equally rare on the Profound Continent. Han Shuo couldn't have been more excited as he harvested these goods, constantly repeating, "This is good, this is useful, oh, this is useful too..."
Jasper was simply speechless.
