The three evil knights reformed by Han Shuo all wore mirror-like armour and wielded extremely long bone spurs that carried an intense aura of death. Counterintuitively, the three charged at the front line.
Mounted on massive, fire-spitting warhorses and wielding huge bone spurs, the evil knights exuded an inexhaustible aura of death as they charged headlong at Corey and his party.
Behind the three evil knights were five other evil knights who had not been reforged with demonic magic, followed by the mummy lord and the bone demon. As for the five strange-looking elite zombies of the five elements: Earth Elite Zombie and Wood Elite Zombie used their innate abilities to hide deep under the earth and in a strange plant, respectively. Fire, water and metal elite zombies mingled with the remaining zombie warriors who had survived by sheer chance, slowly spreading out to encircle Corey and his men.
Corey, who was wielding a longsword covered with a layer of ice as hard as a diamond, which emitted bone-chilling cold air, before the three evil knights came near him, suddenly let out a cold groan and brandished the longsword in his hand. A colourless combat aura mixed with a frosty cold aura shot out from the longsword and flew towards the three evil knights on their fire-spitting warhorses.
The icy air current found between heaven and earth, which could freeze any ordinary living being, immediately gathered with the colourless combat aura. The originally colourless and formless combat aura exploded with bright light and merged with the cold air current, forming a colossal icicle glittering with frosty light. The icicle mixed with indestructible combat aura shot towards the three evil knights.
Han Shuo, who was standing next to Dark Dragon Gilbert, smiled and vanished in the blink of an eye. When his body reappeared, he stood tall in the air in front of the evil knights and threw a ferocious punch from above.
As if a red dragon had shot out of Han Shuo's hand, red flames danced around his fist, propelled by the mystical glacial spellfire. Bringing searing light and heat with it, it slammed into the centre of the colossal icicle.
Creak!
A crisp crack of ice rock resonated. Under the effect of Han Shuo's ferocious power, the slender and long demonic flame first pierced a large hole in the icicle, and then released the intense heat it carried from inside the icicle, vaporising the icicle that contained Corey's colourless combat aura.
"Your opponent is me!" Step by step, without touching the ground, Han Shuo marched from the Ice Shrine towards this Ice Celestial. As raging flames burned in both of his hands, the searing heat intermingled with the cold air around him, creating fine water droplets that rained down.
"Who, who the hell are you?" Corey shouted, his heart pounding with fear. After this blow from Han Shuo, this Ice Celestial of the Ice Shrine had finally gotten a taste of just how intimidating Han Shuo's strength was.
Even without actively probing Corey with his mind, Han Shuo could still sense Corey's true strength over such short distances. However, even though Corey's strength was extremely formidable, he didn't possess the miraculous demonic arts that Han Shuo possessed. Therefore, from the beginning, Corey did not realise that Han Shuo was an opponent of the same level.
After all, it was extremely rare to find demigod existences in the entire Profound Continent. In his defence, Corey had come prepared. Nearly every expert in the Ice Shrine, except Tiana, had been brought here. He did not think that someone he met by chance in the territory of the Dark Dragons would have the strength to fight them.
Most importantly, since the demonic arts that Han Shuo practised were so different from the martial arts of this world, Corey felt no circulation of martial aura in Han Shuo's body, thus dismissing the possibility that he was a martial arts practitioner. It was only after Han Shuo withdrew his skeletal staff that Corey realised that Han Shuo was merely a necromancer. When he saw that Han Shuo did not summon any bone dragons, he looked down on Han Shuo even more.
A mere Grand Magus was nothing in his eyes. Any of his five subordinates could easily defeat Han Shuo. So he would never have expected Han Shuo to be a threat!
However, when he discovered that Han Shuo could shatter his icicle with a single blow, he knew that he had made a grave error in judgement. That was the reason why he was once again questioning Han Shuo's origin.
"You'll be nothing more than a corpse soon anyway, so why bother asking?" Han Shuo stared at Ice Celestial Corey with murder in his eyes. The two fireballs in his hands, formed by congealing demonic yuan energy, were hurled at Corey as Han Shuo finished.
Perhaps only characters of this Ice Celestial's level could truly understand the power of the energy contained within these seemingly ordinary fireballs! He roared and his longsword fluttered, sending sparking, translucent cold air towards the two demonic fireballs.
Contrary to Corey's expectations, the raging fireballs, flying in straight lines towards him, evaded his longsword's discharge with bizarre, sinuous manoeuvres. Like two autonomous living creatures, the fireballs flew towards him again with their unpredictable trajectories.
Behind the two diabolical fireballs stood Han Shuo, his smile even colder than this world of ice and snow he was in. He sent a command to the Earth Elite Zombie, then said to the Dark Dragon Gilbert from afar, "You will have to take care of your grandfather in a moment!
The spell unleashed simultaneously by the two Sacred Rank Magus filled the entire region with an intensely frigid air, a mixture of snowflakes and shards of ice fluttering everywhere, as if there were a frozen mountain where the Ice Shrine stood.
Perhaps because their energy was limited, every single one of the trapped dark dragons shivered in the cold. The dark-skinned girl was covered in cuts and bruises, perhaps from the freezing cold, or perhaps from the ice crumbs that had fallen on her. Her skin seemed to have faded several shades.
As Han Shuo spoke, the ground on which the cage rested suddenly crumbled into a dark cavern. As the trapped dark dragons screamed in fear, the entire cage fell into the dark hole.
At the same time, an underground tunnel opened up right beneath Gilbert's feet. Gilbert came to his senses in an instant and leapt into the tunnel.
After both the cage and the dark dragon had descended, the two holes that had appeared so bizarrely, under the watchful eyes of the Shrine of Ice experts, miraculously closed again. Before they realised what was happening, the two holes had completely disappeared. The ground returned to its former smooth surface.
"Lord, Lord Corey! The Jade Frost Cage has disappeared!" Suddenly, one of the Magus who had been chanting cried out in shock.
Corey, who had been wielding his sword to counter the tricky attacks of the diabolical fireballs, found time to look behind him. His face took on an ugly expression. Corey the Ice Celestial had been defending himself against the diabolical fireballs the whole time, when suddenly a terribly cold gust of air burst from his body.
Suddenly, the cold air gathered rapidly around Corey, and the space around him began to freeze, creating a huge solid ice blast in the air.
The two constantly swirling diabolic fireballs that Han Shuo had manipulated were also frozen into the huge chunk of ice. Before Han Shuo could react, a dozen or so cold air currents attached themselves to the solid ice and began to rapidly circle around the ice like silver snakes, converging on the fireballs trapped within the ice.
Thick white smoke immediately rose from where the two fireballs were trapped. Han Shuo could feel the demonic yuan energy contained within the two diabolical fireballs gradually diminishing under the siege of the cold air currents.
At the centre of the huge chunk of ice was Corey. As a caster, Corey wasn't affected by the cold ice. With his cold eyes on Han Shuo, he suddenly flew towards him at high speed. The huge chunk of ice, which completely froze the space around it as if it were weightless, flew along with Corey and towards Han Shuo.
Halfway through, thick white smoke ceased to rise from the surface of the solid ice. The dozen or so cold gusts of air had finally consumed the last bit of demonic yuan energy in the two frozen diabolic fireballs, and there was no trace of their presence.
At Han Shuo's command, the higher-level undead creatures that had been unaffected by the previous wave of ice magic attack bypassed Corey and charged at the five top experts from the Ice Shrine. The five elite zombies scattered too quickly, preparing to release the Penta-elemental Undead Formation.
Seeing Corey flying towards him in that large block of ice, Han Shuo's two hands began to swirl rapidly, all sorts of uncanny demonic magic suddenly flying out with whooshing sounds. When the streams of unstoppable demonic light met the solid ice, they produced beautiful clanking sounds.
However, this huge chunk of solid ice that was constantly absorbing the frosty air in the area seemed to be made of the toughest substance. When Han Shuo's unique demonic attacks bombarded the ice block, the deepest dent they made was barely a metre deep, completely incapable of penetrating the solid ice and touching a single hair on Corey's head.
Ice Celestial is indeed a well-deserved nickname! Han Shuo praised in his heart. On the one hand, he had been busy unleashing all kinds of dazzling attacks on the ice, and on the other hand, he had been quickly dodging and turning in his mind to find ways to break through the ice.
Since the Demonslayer's Edge had not yet completely fused with the Crystal of Destruction and could not find a way to break the ice at this time, Han Shuo had no choice but to dodge at high speed. Fortunately, when it came to speed, Han Shuo always had the upper hand. Chasing after Han Shuo in a colossal chunk of ice, even though Corey was moving fast, he was nowhere near as fast as Han Shuo and couldn't get close to him.
One couldn't break through the ice, one couldn't catch up to the other, the two were locked in a stalemate.
"Father, let me do it!"
"Father, let me do it!"
At that moment, Han Shuo received messages from the Fire Elite Zombie and the Metal Elite Zombie. The two were brimming with confidence and seemed to be sending the telepathic messages to Han Shuo at the same time. The two then began to charge Corey.
Metal Elite Zombie and Fire Elite Zombie. One wielded the invincible treasure of the metal attribute - the Golden Cudgel , the other wielded the destructive incendiary treasure of the fire attribute - the Fire Lotus. Han Shuo suddenly came to his senses. His mood lightened and he began to plan how to beat Corey mercilessly when he was down!
