Han Shuo learned from Chrissie that the Redbud Knights had indeed travelled to the underground world, and that the Celt had already launched an attack against the Lizardmen. The lizardmen obviously couldn't withstand the Redbud Knights' attacks, but there was an extraordinary presence in the magical crystal ore mine that the lizardmen guarded.
A terrible battle seemed to have taken place when Celt and the Redbud Knights entered the mine. A strange creature living in the mine had suddenly become very terrifying, and even one of the ten best knight troops on the continent hadn't come out on top.
After failing three times, the Redbud Knights decided to unfurl their banners and cover their drums. They were now hiding in a cave, and not even the Dark Mantle knew where they were. They had focused their attention on the area where the lizardmen lived, watching every move.
"Bryan, why have you come to the underground world? Are you part of this mission as well?" Chrissie asked Han Shuo excitedly after describing the current situation to him.
Han Shuo shook his head with a smile, "I was passing through the Dark Forest and happened to fight with Celt of the Redbud Knights earlier. I've come for him."
Even Celt's green dragon had been killed, so he must hate Han Shuo to the bone, not to mention that Han Shuo had cut off one of Celt's ears. This was the kind of grudge that demanded retribution no matter what. To Han Shuo, Celt was an enormous threat who controlled the Redbud Knights. Not only was his strength unusual, but he was also an important national figure. There would be no end to the trouble if Celt found out Han Shuo's identity.
That was why Han Shuo had come to the Dark Forest from Brettel City this time, to see if there was a way to obtain more magical crystal cores, and also to see if he could completely eradicate the problem that was Celt, to prevent future trouble for him after he left the Dark Forest.
"What, you fought Commander Celt of the Redbud Knights?" Chrissie suddenly shrieked and looked at Han Shuo in disbelief. She immediately continued, "I heard that someone killed Celt's green dragon and even cut off one of his ears! Was that you?"
The light of intense curiosity shone in Chrissie's eyes as she fixed her gaze on Han Shuo. She seemed to have suspected something. It was rather Han Shuo who had not expected the news to spread so quickly. He was taken aback by Chrissie. They were both hiding behind some red plants with huge banana-shaped leaves. This was probably the Dark Mantle's temporary rendezvous point for this mission.
A low cry rang out before Han Shuo had time to react, "Who is it?"
Chrissie snapped out of her curiosity when she heard the voice and called back in a low voice as well. "It's Three Dark Star Chrissie. Is it Wallace?"
"So it's Chrissie! Mm, come over." The voice wasn't as nervous as before. Instead, it was laughing softly, a young face peeking out from behind a few red leaves. When the boy lifted his head to see Han Shuo, he was immediately a little unhappy. "Why is it you? What are you doing here?"
The last time Cecilia had tried to use the forest trolls to block the pursuit of Celt and the Redbud Knights, Han Shuo had forcefully prevented her from doing so. The other Dark Mantle members who had been with Cecilia then had expressed their angry discontent. The one named Wallace was probably one of the shrouded figures back then, which was why he was immediately unhappy when he saw Han Shuo.
When Chrissie saw that Wallace's expression had changed for the worse, she thought that Wallace didn't know who Han Shuo was and hastened to explain, "What are you doing, Wallace? Bryan is one of us! Haven't you heard his name before?"
"Hmph! He disrupted our plans at a critical moment, I don't think he's one of us at all!" Wallace was quite loyal to Cecilia as he snorted derisively.
"Chrissie, take me to Emily." Han Shuo wasn't too concerned with an angry Wallace and only spoke to Chrissie at his side.
"Sorry, we don't welcome people like you here!" The young man named Wallace suddenly pulled himself out from under the red banana-shaped leaf and blocked Han Shuo's path with a cold face.
Han Shuo glanced at Wallace and continued on his way, not caring at all about Wallace's obstruction. When he reached Wallace's position and saw that he had no intention of moving out of the way, Han Shuo slowly reached out a hand to send a surge of power into Wallace's body.
The force behind the power caused Wallace to stagger. He stumbled backwards a few times before finally falling to the ground on his butt. There were a few traces of humiliation mixed in with the anger on his face as he shouted, "What are you going to do?"
"Whether I can go in or not is not up to you. You're just a little Dark Star emissary and have no right or power to stop me. Then just don't try!" Han Shuo expressed the most direct kind of contempt and looked back at Chrissie who came over to try and smooth things over. He smiled, "Let's go see Emily."
Chrissie was stunned by Han Shuo's display of strength and then turned her head with an exclamation of surprise, "It must be you! The mysterious person who killed Celt's green dragon and cut off his ear must be you!"
Wallace was about to stand up and challenge Han Shuo again when his face suddenly turned as white as paper. His knees went weak as he was so frightened that he fell into a sitting position.
Han Shuo chuckled softly and glared contemptuously at Wallace as he urged Chrissie on, "Speak no more of this, I must see Emily urgently."
Han Shuo's lack of denial was a subtle admission. Chrissie's look at Han Shuo was full of adoration as she excitedly ran over to Han Shuo. As she passed Wallace on the ground, she said a little apologetically, "Sorry Wallace, you don't have much at the moment either, so I'll be going now."
Chrissie no longer looked at the ashen-faced Wallace after she had spoken, she jumped to Han Shuo's side and said enthusiastically, "Let's go, I'll take you to Madame Emily. Oh Bryan, how did you cut off Celt's ear? That was too amazing!"
Han Shuo discovered that the Dark Mantle had chosen their hiding place very carefully along the way. Leafy fauna grew everywhere, and there were plenty of random rock outcroppings to hide behind. This place was perfect for the members of the Dark Mantle, who were adept at hiding.
All sorts of alarm mechanisms were set up, starting from where Wallace had been stationed. These were handmade and used some magic elements as well. They looked very cute and practical. Han Shuo learned that they had all been made by Cecilia.
Although the curious Chrissie kept asking about Celt's destroyed ear, Han Shuo didn't say much more about the matter. He took the attitude of neither confirming nor denying. When he saw Emily, she struggled to control the excitement in her heart and spoke with the dignity befitting her situation, "Thank you, Chrissie. I'd like to discuss the affairs of this mission with Bryan alone."
"Very well, Madame Emily."
Chrissie replied with disappointment, casting a longing look at Han Shuo before she left. "Remember to tell me the details next time, I really want to know what happened!"
"No problem, I'll tell you next time. Thank you Chrissie!"
Han Shuo replied with a friendly smile and then walked with Emily towards a cave.
Apart from the lush growth of red banana-shaped leaf plants around this area, there were also some small caves. It looked as if Emily had taken up temporary residence in one of the caves. Perhaps she didn't want other people to see her, because she avoided some of the caves with noises coming from them and went to a secluded corner.
"You little bastard has started seducing other girls again.
You have me and Phoebe, isn't that enough for you?" Emily immediately pinched Han Shuo's cheek when she saw that there were no other voices and cursed him in a low voice.
Han Shuo felt quite offended as he laughed ironically. When he saw that Emily had let go for fear of hurting him, he explained, "It's not what you think! I just met her on the way and let her take me to find you!"
"Hmph!" Emily looked at Han Shuo suspiciously. "Then what did she talk about, what details and what explanation?"
"Uh... she wants to know how I killed Celt's green dragon and cut off his ear?" Han Shuo replied honestly.
"What! You did it?!" Emily was startled as she looked at Han Shuo in disbelief.
Nodding, since Han Shuo hide no secrets from Emily, he said, "It was indeed really me.
