Perhaps it was because they'd touched so intimately, but the cold and arrogant Phoebe was now blushing often, and her attitude towards Han Shuo had changed drastically.
Women were like that. Before they gave you their heart, they would have many reservations and hesitations. However, once they gave you their heart, they would involuntarily let the man take the lead. Even a Swordmaster like Phoebe was no different.
"Speak. How did you know I was here? Why did you sneak in here?" Phoebe lifted her head to look at Han Shuo with a slight smile as she lay on Han Shuo's broad chest.
Taking a deep breath, Han Shuo's naughty hands and feet all stopped. He frowned as he gave Phoebe a basic overview of what was going on. However, he didn't discuss some of the more sensitive topics, such as his identity in the Dark Mantle and the interference of the Calamity Church.
"Do you know what you were transporting when you handled this batch of goods?" Han Shuo looked at Phoebe and asked seriously.
Shaking her head, Phoebe's narrow eyebrows furrowed as she replied, "I don't know. Those in my profession sometimes have to take unknown risks. However, I hadn't thought that this time it would involve so much."
Han Shuo actually breathed a sigh of relief when he learned that Phoebe had no idea what she was moving. He thought deeply for a moment and said, "The chief of the Gryphon Legion had the heart to rebel, so you must cooperate with us for the safety of the Boozt Merchant Guild. Otherwise, I'm afraid that your guild, no matter how strong it is, will be in immeasurable danger once the higher echelons of the Empire learn of this operation and your guild's involvement.
Nodding her head in understanding, Phoebe hugged Han Shuo and laughed softly, "I'll do as you say. I believe you'll help me in all seriousness."
Phoebe was completely trusting of Han Shuo as she spoke, which made him quite flattered by her trust. He quickly weighed a few things up, and once again coalesced a drop of blood essence and placed it in a small vial. He gave it to Phoebe, "Try to drip a drop of this blood onto the siege weapons when you transport them."
"If you can't open the containers, then drip it on the containers themselves. Then try to accompany the shipment as far as you can tomorrow. Don't be in a hurry to leave when you're done, I'll come back for you. Oh, right, Candice is also in Valen City and she's staying at a hotel that Elaine owns. You can look for her."
"No problem, I'll do whatever you say." Phoebe agreed and then laughed lightly as she took out a bunch of items from her storage ring. Her clear eyes looked at Han Shuo as if she was showing off a treasure. "This pile has all the items you wanted. I collected them all in the course of helping Bob Ascher transport his items over."
She handed over the list; looking at it, Han Shuo realised that all these items were what he needed to refine the Yin Demons. It seemed that Phoebe had been very attentive to his affairs and had gathered all the necessary materials for him in a short time.
He pulled Phoebe over to him and kissed her blushing, beautiful cheek. "Hehehe, thank you very much!"
The guard's voice sounded again from outside, "Miss Phoebe, the sun has fully risen. You should get ready to leave."
"Mm. I'm up. I'll be right out." Phoebe replied, pushing Han Shuo away, changing shyly under the thin blankets and pouting, "It's all your fault. You tore my underwear, you savage brute."
Han Shuo chuckled maliciously and left Phoebe's bed. "All right, all right, I'll make it up to you. Remember what I said. I'm leaving for now, but I'll be back to see you soon."
Han Shuo slowly made his way to the window. Just as he reached it, Phoebe suddenly called out quietly. He looked back at her in surprise as she quietly reminded him, "Be careful."
"I will!" Han Shuo replied dashingly. He took a quick look out the window and used a blinking guard to shoot out of the window like a ghost.
Hiding his body in the early morning light, Han Shuo flew to the Dark Mantle stronghold. He found Chester waiting for him when he arrived. It looked as if he had come from Elaine's hotel.
"What's the situation?" Han Shuo asked when he saw Chester.
"I was unconscious at the hotel. A druid told me that we had fallen victim to a drug when I woke up and didn't say anything else." Chester looked a little confused as he looked to Han Shuo for an explanation.
Han Shuo briefly went over what had happened while Chester had been unconscious. "Did that druid talk to the female leader of the mercenary band about anything? Also, is Lisa back safely? How are things at the hotel?"
"It looks like the druid talked to the swordswoman Candice for a bit, but he escaped our ears, so I don't know what they talked about. I took Lisa to Lawrence myself, he said he'd be in touch shortly. The hotel is redecorating Belinda's room under Elaine's guidance and should be back to normal soon. The druid and all the mercenaries are still there. They haven't left!" Chester replied.
"I see. Right, have you seen Emily since you got back?"
"No, I just came by and saw the two who work for Madame Emily, but she's not here at the moment." Chester replied.
"Ah, I see. I don't have anything going on at the moment. If you're free, why don't you go out and see what's going on in town?" Han Shuo smiled and walked past Chester to the secret room.
As he set up the magic formation, Han Shuo once again entered the Cemetery . The little lecherous dragon, Gilbert, immediately jumped over enthusiastically when he saw Han Shuo appear, thinking that Han Shuo was going to take him out.
"Now is not the time, but I will take you out of the Cemetery in a few days; don't be in a hurry." Seeing Gilbert rush over, Han Shuo immediately threw cold water on him, ignoring the rest of Gilbert's mutterings and heading to where the Yin Demons were being refined.
Refining the Yin Demons was similar to refining the original demons. Apart from a few adjustments to the formation and the substitution of more precious ingredients, as well as three drops of essence blood, there were no other differences.
Han Shuo took a deep breath and quickly went over the details he needed to pay attention to in his mind. He then took out the Demonslayer's Edge and began to transform the cave where the original demons had been refined into the formation that could be used for the Yin Demons.
When the Yin Demon Cave was formed, Han Shuo placed all the ingredients Phoebe had collected in the correct order in the Yin Demon Cave. He had needed eighteen wraiths to be the catalyst for the refinement of the original demons, but the refinement of the yin demons required twice as many. While 36 wraiths were needed, the refining time was reduced to 18 days.
Since Han Shuo had reached the realm of true demons, he now possessed essence blood. Combined with the improved quality of his magical yuan, he'd be able to finish off the 36 wraiths in a short 18 days. The strongest wraith that captured the three drops of essence blood would have the right to absorb the power within the Yin Demon Cave and be refined into Yin Demons even more powerful than the original demons.
When the three Yin Demons were fully formed, they would not only have all the power of the original demons, but they would also have even stronger life forces than the original demons. They would be able to lie in wait once they had invaded a body, until they rose up to deliver a fatal blow at a critical moment.
If someone was possessed by a Yin Demon, Han Shuo would be able to see everything they saw and felt through the Yin Demon within them. The Yin Demon lurking in their body could suddenly burst into action when the victim was deeply asleep or fighting others, and make its attack when the victim was otherwise distracted.
It would be best if it could kill it's enemy, but if the enemy was particularly strong, the Yin Demon could continue to lurk in its victim's body, or leave it and flee back to Han Shuo.
When the three Yin Demons were fully formed, they could even briefly transform into Han Shuo and create illusions of him for a short time. If Han Shuo suddenly created three copies of himself during battle, he would be able to turn the situation around by confusing his enemies.
When Han Shuo dripped in his essence blood and saw that the 36 wraiths inside the cave had started attacking each other furiously to fight over Han Shuo's three drops of essence blood, he understood that the Yin Demon Cave had started to work successfully and didn't watch any more.
He walked away without listening to Gilbert's complaints.
