CHAPTER 166: The Armoured Golem

Han Shuo could clearly see the changes in the room through a long and narrow crack in the roof above.

The flying bugs from all over the hotel were converging on the room next to Belinda.

The pliable branches of the nearby tree began to spread madly around the room. The branch-like staff in Caspian's hands radiated a vibrant sense of life.

"Why aren't you acting yet?!" Belinda snorted quietly at this point.

Fereeca and his brothers attacked Caspian almost in unison after hearing Belinda's words. The three moved in unison. The tip of Fereeca's longsword suddenly crackled with lightning, and the other two let one of their longswords howl with the sound of the wind, slicing through the air with extraordinary speed. Another blazed with flaming fire and swirled towards Caspian.

Han Shuo was astonished as the three attacked together. He could tell from the changes in their longswords that Fereeca and his brothers were mage swordsmen. Fereeca looked like a major in Thunder Magic, while the other two specialised in Wind and Fire Magic respectively.

The three longswords also looked like they'd been tempered with special methods. They could channel their elemental magic attacks directly into the longswords when they attacked, increasing their power and speed. It was very intimidating.

"Three mage swordsmen, huh! No wonder you're so cocky!" Caspian snorted coldly as they struck, waving the staff in his hand as he spoke.

The branches twisted madly like snakes in the room, dancing in their movements. The dozens of branches were like a long whip as they hurtled towards the brothers. Caspian stepped forward at the same time and grabbed the unconscious Angelica, leaping out of the window and landing on a nearby tree.

The intertwining branches were surprisingly agile under Caspian's manipulations. It was as if they knew martial arts as they dodged the attacks of the three magical swords. High up in the tree, Caspian had a benevolent smile on his face as he raised his branch-like magic staff and chanted a spell.

The tree he was standing on suddenly came alive like a giant octopus. The leafy branches were like countless tentacles of the octopus as they spread through the house with extreme speed, swirling towards everyone inside.

"Up!" roared Caspian.

A huge rumbling sounded as the house Belinda and everyone was in suddenly lifted itself, and the roof collapsed shortly after.

Han Shuo's eyes were fixed on Emily inside the house and he rushed down to save her when he realised something wasn't quite right. It touched his heart to see that the pliant branches that had snaked into the house from all directions were protecting everyone except Belinda and her men.

When the house collapsed in on itself, the flexible branches had already carried out the people Belinda had sent to sleep.

The friend on the roof, it's time for you to come down, isn't it?" When Han Shuo was about to leave when he discovered that Emily had been pulled out of the room by the branches, Caspian's bright eyes landed on Han Shuo as he asked with a smile.

Seeing that his movements had been exposed, Han Shuo didn't hide any longer and jumped down from the tree, landing in the spacious courtyard of the hotel. He then casually walked up to the tree where Caspian was and stood next to Candice and Emily.

"You go about your business, I'll help you take care of these people. I won't let them harm the people under this tree." Han Shuo lifted his head to smile at Caspian as he spoke.

Caspian started when Han Shuo opened his mouth and then looked at Han Shuo strangely. "Have we met before? Why does your voice sound familiar to me?"

"Hehehe, let's get rid of these people first." Belinda and the others rushed out of the collapsed house at that moment, glaring angrily at Caspian and immediately attacking in that direction.

"All right, I think I need to know you." Caspian replied, waving his staff and looking gravely at Fereeca and his brothers.

The branches of the leafy Boughed tree above him continued to intertwine, looking grotesquely strong. The other trees in the courtyard were affected by the power of nature and began to wave their branches as well, joining Caspian's side. Han Shuo was taken aback by this development.

After looking around and realising that Caspian seemed to be able to handle these people, he turned his attention to the unconscious Emily.

He took a deep breath and placed a hand on her back. His Magical Yuan circulated in a small vortex in his left hand.

Using his knowledge of the human body, Han Shuo concentrated and used the effects of the Magical Yuan to quickly remove the effects of the scent from her body.

Her long eyelashes suddenly fluttered, which delighted Han Shuo as he knew it meant she was about to wake up.

A loud rumbling suddenly reached Han Shuo's ears. He suddenly lifted his head in surprise to see that a four to five metre tall three-eyed monster with eight horns on its head and a spiked tail had suddenly appeared in the courtyard.

Han Shuo recognised this monster at a glance. It was the image of the three-eyed demon god Ansidesi that the necromancer Clarendon had tried to summon. This three-eyed demon monster was now made of shining grey armour, and its huge body was filled with power, giving others an intensely intimidating feeling.

"A golem formed in the image of the demon god? You're from the Church of Calamity?" Caspian's face changed drastically as the golem appeared and he exclaimed in shock.

"You guessed right!" Belinda said quietly and then gave the golem instructions, "Kill it.

The four or five metre tall, grey armour-clad golem charged at Caspian after receiving Belinda's order. A towering tree beside it angrily sent branches towards it.

Before the branches had fully entangled the golem's ankles, the fierce-looking golem suddenly gathered strength and broke free of the soft branches around its ankles. Each heavy step the golem took shook the ground with a thunderous crash, like an earthquake.

A nearby tree twisted many branches together to form a branch thicker than two people's waists put together, and hurled it at the Golem. Sensing that it was about to be attacked, the golem raised its spiked tail and swung it in an arc, crashing into the thick branch.

The thick branch that had been lashing out at the golem was stopped in its tracks by the golem's armoured tail. Its tail was deeply embedded in the branch, and with a violent jerk of its tail, it actually ripped the branch out of the ground. The branch shattered into a pile of twigs and branches.

A series of deep magical incantations suddenly rang out from Emily's mouth as some dark magic spells landed on the golem. These spells, which were incredibly destructive to humans and animals, had no effect on the golem.

"The alchemists of the Church of Calamity have created golems in the shape of the evil demon god with incredible magical immunity. Don't waste your efforts." Caspian lowered his head to give Emily this reminder.

"So what are we going to do?" Emily raised her head to ask anxiously.

"Get these innocent people out of here. I'll think of a way to stop them." Caspian was equally concerned as he glanced down.

"The golem is being manipulated, this matter will be over if we can control it." Han Shuo suddenly spoke coldly at that moment.

"That is indeed the case, but it has three mage swordsmen protecting it and a golem attacking us. It's a bit unrealistic to think that we can bring her under our control." The three-eyed demon-god golem had already arrived at their location as they spoke. Caspian waved his staff to spur the large tree below them to intercept the golem.

"Emily, you protect those under the tree. Caspian, you slow down the golem. Leave the rest to me!" Han Shuo roared coldly as he dashed forward like lightning, targeting Belinda in the midst of the three mage swordsmen.
