A faint scent drifted into Han Shuo's nose and mouth. A strong dizzy sensation suddenly hit him, and he almost fainted.
It was a good thing that his body's toughness was much stronger than an ordinary person's after the demonic magic had reforged his body. The magical yuan had an even more miraculous effect. His body automatically began to circulate it the moment he became dazed after inhaling the faint scent.
The demon infant in his abdomen immediately expelled the scent from his body. The dizzy sensation in his head also disappeared.
At that moment, Han Shuo held his breath and began to circulate magical yuan before taking another breath of the scent. As he inhaled, his immensely strong nerves were fully mentally prepared and the moment the dizzy sensation appeared, the feeling of wanting to faint went from strong to faint until he was no longer affected by it.
Now that he was in the true demon realm, his physical body had been forged to a depth beyond normal imagination, and even this strong, sweet scent wasn't enough to affect him.
Oh no! I wonder what happened to Emily! After his perverted body got used to the scent, Han Shuo suddenly remembered that Emily had been in the room and hastily pushed open the cabinet door.
Emily had been in the room but was nowhere to be found. He didn't know where she had gone. There were signs that the room had been turned over, and judging by the amount of mess that had been made, someone had been there.
Han Shuo's transportation matrix was set up in the wardrobe and clothes covered the staffs. Therefore, even if someone opened the cabinet doors, they wouldn't be able to see anything out of the ordinary unless they looked closely.
When he saw that someone had walked through the room and that Emily had disappeared without a trace, Han Shuo immediately started to worry. As he was about to leave the room in search of his Dark Mantle colleague, he suddenly noticed that everything about the hotel was a bit off.
Lifting a corner of the window, he saw that it was already night. Looking out into the distance, however, he could see that the rooms in the distance were lit. This meant that it wasn't too late yet, but all the rooms in this hotel were shrouded in darkness. Only Belinda's room had a faint glow as very low voices could be heard discussing something.
As Han Shuo held his breath and concentrated, he discovered that small fly-like insects were swarming around the hotel courtyard. There were dozens of them, and they were spreading out to fly into the various rooms of the hotel. A grey mist emanated from their tails, emitting the scent that had nearly made Han Shuo faint.
With a furrowed brow, Han Shuo was almost certain that the abnormal events in the room had something to do with Belinda. Silently, he opened the door and took out the black robe that members of the Dark Mantle wore on missions. He made it to the top of the roof in the darkness and slowly crept towards Belinda's room.
As he did so, Han Shuo skilfully used the magical yuan to completely cover up any traces of his presence, adjusting his heartbeat and breathing to a very hard to detect frequency.
"Master Belinda, all the guests of this hotel have been gathered in the living room of the suite." Han Shuo heard a low voice speak as soon as he put his ear to the roof of Belinda's room.
"Mm." Belinda replied weakly and seemed to be walking towards the lobby.
Han Shuo moved his body carefully towards the lobby. When he arrived, he lightly stretched out a finger and circulated the 'Mystical Glacial Spellfire'. A small flame appeared on his fingertip, burrowing through the dense wooden material on top and allowing him to see below.
More than ten people were lying in a dead faint in a lobby that was very similar to the room where Han Shuo was staying. Emily was among them, as was Chester, who had returned from his mission to bring Lisa to Lawrence. Hotel owner Helene was also there, as well as Candice and the other members of the Battlefire mercenary group.
Apart from the people Han Shuo knew well, there was also the great druid Caspian and the elf Angelica. Han Shuo had met both of them in the Dark Forest, but they had met separately. He only knew that they were travelling together when he saw them here now.
Among the rest of the hotel guests, there was no one of particular interest. They were probably here to conduct business in Valen City and didn't attract Han Shuo's interest.
The three people who had followed Belinda were all standing respectfully, as if they were subordinates waiting for Belinda's orders. This rather surprised Han Shuo as he had not thought that the three following her were her men.
Belinda's slender eyebrows knit tightly together as she arrived in the lobby and she cast a glance over the people below her. She said softly, "I felt vibrations from the White Bone Staff number 17 when I arrived at the hotel. I personally refined this white bone staff and gave it to Clarendon.
"However, the presence of the staff suddenly vanished without a trace when I arrived at the end of the corridor. It looks as if someone suddenly returned it to its space ring. No one has left the hotel since I arrived, so the White Bone Staff must be inside one of their space rings."
"Master, how are we supposed to do that?" The one who looked like the oldest of the three brothers asked inquiringly.
Belinda's blue eyes looked sharply at the people on the ground and pointed at Emily. "The white bone staff should be on her. She's the only one with a space ring." Of Emily, Candice, Caspian and Angelica, Candice had always been with them, so she was naturally ruled out. It looked like Caspian and Angelica had arrived later, so in Belinda's eyes Emily was the one with the staff.
The person who'd asked the question walked over to Emily after Belinda's words and took off her space ring, handing it respectfully to Belinda.
As Belinda took Emily's space ring, she touched it for a while with her eyes closed and said, "She's created a magical boundary inside. Bind her and then wake her."
"Master, what about the others?" It was still the oldest of the three who asked the questions.
Waving her hand, Belinda said carelessly, "Same old, kill those who have no value."
Han Shuo immediately became nervous when he heard these words. Besides Emily, Candice, Angelica and Caspian were also in the lobby below. Although Caspian had no relationship with Han Shuo, he was friends with Candice and Angelica to varying degrees. He couldn't watch them being killed in front of him.
"Don't you think you're overdoing it?" Caspian, supposedly in a dead faint, suddenly spoke up before Han Shuo could act.
Caspian stood up as he spoke, protecting the little elf Angelica behind him.
When Han Shuo noticed this abnormality, he immediately stopped and continued to crouch on the roof, watching what was happening below.
"Huh? You can still remain conscious under the strong effects of my scent. It seems that the great Druid Caspian does indeed have some magical abilities." Belinda exclaimed softly, but spoke calmly.
"I don't care who you are, but your methods are most distasteful to me. I will ignore the fact that you harmed us earlier if you let everyone here go and I will allow you to leave as well." Caspian looked at Belinda with disfavour and snorted.
"Fereeca, you three brothers can take advantage of this to see what kind of magical abilities a great druid of the divinity of nature possesses. Kill him!" Belinda didn't waste any time and immediately waved her hand, indicating that the three brothers should kill Caspian.
At Belinda's command, Fereeca and his brothers suddenly showed a ruthless, killing intent as they drew three longswords and surrounded the Druid.
"Don't blame me for what happens next, you won't listen to me!" Caspian glared at the three of them and pulled a strange staff shaped like an old root from his space ring, planning to fight the three of them.
At that moment, all the scattered flying bugs in the small hotel seemed to be summoned by some power and converged on Belinda's room.
At the same time, the thick branches of a large tree by the side of the room seemed to be summoned as well, sending their gnarled branches into the room like flexible snakes.
