"What's wrong?" Edric asked in a whisper and Loreen couldn't even answer as she stared at someone in the crowd.
She was wide-eyed and her eyes were filled with fear. Her complexion a tad paler than usual and her grip on his arm was the tightest Edric had ever felt.
Loreen held unto his arm tightly, but she was rooted where she stood as if frozen in fear.
He had never seen Loreen this afraid of someone or something before.
Edric was alarmed and followed her gaze.
He frowned when he saw who Loreen was looking at.
It was his cousin Edmund and Loreen was looking at him with disgust and fear on her face.
Edmund was Edric's first cousin on his mother's side. He was the one who invited Edric to go clubbing three years ago and that was when Edric met Loreen.
