Performing tests

"Fine I will teach you magic but in return you have to perform tasks for me."Mandar Schion immediately thought of some ways in which Valdel could be of use.

"Okay sure."Orion didn't expect to get anything for free so he wasn't bummed out.

"But before I teach you magic and you perform the first task I give you I would like to perform some tests on you.The usual kind that I normally do to you."Mandar Schion said this expecting Valdel to be in a sour mood.Orion however wasn't in a sour mood he simply agreed to it.

What followed next was a series of physical ability tests as well as some IQ tests.Orion found them to be quite boring and didn't think too much of them.The IQ tests were especially easy since Orion came from a more advanced world and the IQ tests were based on logic and common sense.

"Hmmm you've gotten a bit weaker but that's probably because you were starved by the necromancers.You seem to have gotten smarter though I don't know why that is.Next up will be physical resistance tests."Mandar Schion found the results to be rather interesting buy he didn't think further about it.

Orion was immediately brought to a room that had a large pool of water inside of it.

"Now to test how long you can hold your breath.Your current record is 26 minutes and 34 seconds.Take off your clothes and enter the water.I'll start the timer when your under."Mandar Schion was holding an antique stopwatch which he held in one hand.

Orion knew he didn't need air to breathe because he was an undead but he also knew he had to get up within that time limit so Mandar wouldn't get suspicious and suspect that he was an undead.Orion didn't have a good sense of time so he decided to keep track of time by counting the minutes and seconds he spent underwater.

Orion closed his eyes,grabbed his nose closed and closed his mouth.He also clenched his ass cheeks.The reason he did this was because he wanted to close as many orifices as possible so there wouldn't be any remaining water in his body when he got out.

If there was any dirty water still left in his body for a long time then the bad smell might attract insects and other similar magical creatures.If those insects got into his body and then began eating their way through his body then he would face a load of problems.The thought of flys laying eggs in his flesh and then maggots breaking out of those eggs and eating his flesh disgusted him.

Once 24 minutes and 24 seconds passed Orion immediately raised his head above the water level.Mandar Schion stopped the antique stopwatch in his hand and saw the time.

"I feel like you could do better but it's still far above what most people can do so I'll let you off.Next we'll test your resistance to temperature.I forbid you from reinforcing your body with magic for this test."

Orion was then brought to a peculiar closed off room which was in the shape of a dome.

"Through the use of magic this room is capable of replicating natural environments and natural disasters albeit to a small extent though you already know this.First I'm going to replicate a hot environment."Mandar Schion then activated the room from the outside and a desert terrain appeared within the dome shaped room.

Orion found this interesting since the technology of his home world had yet to replicate such a thing as a room that can create different environments.He immediately changed his line of thinking that this world was primitive compared to his home world.It had simply evolved and developed differently because it had magic inside of it.

Orion couldn't feel pain or temperature so he just stood still and decided that he would raise his arms when he decided that things had gone too far.

Orion waited for three minutes and then made a gesture for help at which Mandar Schion promptly stopped the workings of the room and came inside.

"97 degrees a lot of normal people would be unable to function at this temperature and would likely suffer a heat stroke or even possibly die.Your resistance to hot temperature is mostly the same but I feel you could have done better with your resilience and durability.Next we'll replicate a cold environment."Mandar Schion then exited the room and reactivated it.

Soon after its activation snow and ice began to appear within the dome shaped room.Orion waited for some time before it seemed that things were dragging on a bit.Orion made the same gesture for help and Mandar stopped the machine and came into the room.

"-217 degrees quite impressive all normal people die at this temperature and even unordinary people would struggle to operate at this temperature.I see you resistance to cold temperatures has drastically increased."Mandar Schion praised Orion.

They then performed a few more tests until Mandar Schion was satisfied and decided to give Orion his first task.
